Nice tp pass you the other day as you made your way down from Kidsgrove. We were on our way up to the Macclesfield canal.Caldon is lovely , we were up there 6 weeks ago. Narrow in parts.
Another lovely blog, great scenery good sunny weather (mostly) love your genuine interaction it always makes me smile, always look forward to your vlogs and accompanying commentary
Absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful part of the country and your camera work (movie) is so clear and sharp. Gonna have to watch this a second time just to fill my glass again. Thank you
The circular thing was the central support of a swing bridge across which ran a branch line from the North Staffordshire Railway, Leek Branch to Victoria Mill which stood where Stanley Moss Lane is now.
Hello Eileen and Pat, it’s a little while since I last left you a message, however I’ve been working through your videos and I must say I’ve enjoyed every one so far. I love your humour and banter between each other. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I’ve not been over to the UK at all this year so watching your videos helps me to remember my motherland. I notice that you have an antenna on the front right side of the boat, is this for WiFi, if so what make is it and where can they be purchased please ? Keep up the great work. Stay safe and healthy. You have a great lifestyle. Best wishes, Barry from France
Hi Barry, thank you so much for the positive feedback and you perseverance in getting through the vlogs! What a shame you haven’t been able to get over here! I have attached a link for the WiFi antenna. Lovely vlog and lovely canal even though a bit twisty.....Pat does do a great edit of your adventures...something to do on wet days..and did you find some coal ?...you will need it now it is getting very chilly
Thank you Richard, we really appreciate the positive feedback! We did manage to get a couple of bags from a garage, when we were with our friends, who had a car! 🤣. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
why not swap your messy coal fire for a gas or diesel one which is so much cleaner...why not put the canopy up when raining....that was a tight tunnel...popular mooring but at least no generators...
We love the coal fire, there’s nothing better than sitting down after dinner in front of the fire. In fairness we’ll probably consider a diesel stove when Pat can no longer manage the coal bags! With regards to the canopy, it doesn’t fit under low bridges, so we always take it down. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
🎶 l'm going to get you on a slow boat to Leek ? after a dent or two , and rock our little love boat as we like to do , as we only have the one bunk bed lucky it was built for two 👫 ? LOL ... Some very nice lush green areas very picturesque , always look much better with a touch of blue Sky's , .. What makes your adventure a loving one is simply having one another 24/7 and that in itself becomes a bond of being as one ! ... so when you put yourself in danger and come a cropper you both suffer the consequence , working around your boat when docked , especially Locks a slip of fall hitting your head sending you into the water unconscious seconds count in a live or die situation , I don't want to sound like a teacher but a reminder of what you know , I've seen Pat with his life Preserver On ? the world at large is a dangerous place , but that shouldn't stop you enjoying yourselves , .. I am compelled to talk about this reminder when l see the danger , as for that almost biblical leap of Faith aboard your boat made me cringe , a slip backwards Eileen would at best left you with a headache , at worse stitches , concussion ? loss of eye glasses , not to mention hip or leg break ? ... NEVER FEEL THAT YOUR A WEAKLING BECAUSE YOU ARE WEARING SAFETY EQUIPMENT , it is because your looking after you and Pat .. so Pat .. the same for you , safety first ... and keep your big nuts warm and dry , LOL …. Be good you two ? But if you can't be careful LOL ….💏 💪🙈 😱😁👏👍. .… x Trev.
Aww, thank you Trev for your concern. We never knowingly take risks, but of course it’s always when the unexpected happens that things go wrong. It really wasn’t such a big jump. Glad you enjoyed the vlog, thanks for watching and commenting!👍

Don't worry about being baggy. Some men of a certain age get a baggy face, others get a baggy bum, chance in a million, I got both. So I feel special.
😂🤣, if you have both you must be very special!! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
