Papier mache hat, basic shape, undecorated

To alleviate all of the boredom of being stuck at home during the corona virus lockdown and hopefully prevent a few walls being climbed, last year I ran the Easter Bonnet Challenge.I never imagined we would still be in lockdown this Easter, but they are just as relevant now as they were then. I have collected them all together on a facebook page called Handmade Originals for Kids, so that they are easy to find. There are 13 of them and you can find them at

For children of all ages, including those inner children lurking in most adults and my challenge to myself will be that it will all be done at minimal or no cost, using just everyday stuff we already have in the house. Phew!
Share with everyone, the more the merrier.
In the meantime start gathering old newspapers and checking the cupboard for out of date flour.
Basic hats first then decoration.
The aim is to be inspirational rather than prescriptive and have fun on the way.
