    Thanks so much for responding to me. Your answer is exactly what I thought happened to me. BBB is responding and with pictures before and after of the work they didn't do , it should be helpful. I know BBB can't make them do anything but it's the principle of what happened that matters now. Thanks again!

    Prep is a pain but needs to be done. When people actually see the whole process I go threw they are amazed on the patience I have lol I have A.D.D really bad and powder coating and motocross are my calm points in life. Both take a lot of patience and work but the end result is always awesome. My goal is to get a larger oven this year, they are expensive but you can do a lot more with them. Great vid bye the way

    good eye buddy! that was our old shop and was a real problem with cross contamination and dust. our new facility is completely separate and no open doors on side and stuff, that one had been a warehouse that was not suitable for powder coating... come by if you are in South Florida anytime.

    Nice job, but I don't understand why you powdercoat near the sandblasting cabinet and in open field, instead in a separate room. Even a good blasting cabinet it will make dust when you open the door to remove the blasted part. I know because I own also a business like yours and I found tiny particles of dust in my paint when I did testing. Now I operate blasting in another room.

    • @IronLaeg15
      @IronLaeg15 6 років тому

      You can mostly avoid small dust going outside of sandblasting cabinet using an air extraction in it. The point is if it making a little negative pressure inside of the camera and wait for a little bit after finishing sandblasting there will be no dust (or quite few of it).
      But I mostly agree with you. As for me, I have two rooms to avid the problems - one for abrasive working and finishing and another for painting.

    Awesome video...you for sure know what you are doing. Here is a problem i have encountered, I did not see built up powder at the end of my gun fall onto the primary cover i was coating. When it came out of curing of course it now has 5-6 build up looking drops or where it was over coated. The finish is really great every where else except that one spot (about a 3-4" circumference). Am i able to light sand that area and recoat it again, or will i have to take and strip it all and re-shoot?

    • @Bullseyepowdercoat
      @Bullseyepowdercoat  10 років тому +2

      No u can sand it down, clean it up, and reheat it, then recoat and cure again and should be fine. Yea it happens, sometimes you can see it if you check the parts with LED light before curing.

    i like your set up so don't think im having a swipe , but surely from a production point of view would you not process 4 x wheels at a time instead of 2 , also turn your powder down you have to much air to powder ratio set on your machine,but i like you guys looks good keep up the good work

    Is the color white harder to powder coat or adhere to whatever you are painting? I had a outdoor swing powder coated and when I picked up the swing it was warm and a dull color. Once I put it in my front yard I sat in it and once I got up I noticed that it looked like the color had gotten dull. I thought it came off on my pants. I was so upset with the people that did the work I didn't take it back to them because they kept it and kept it for over 8 weeks and kept telling me they were having problems with their oven as the reason for the delay.

    • @Bullseyepowdercoat
      @Bullseyepowdercoat  9 років тому

      Hi Jerry, white is one of the original powder coating colors, its probable they did not prep properly or cure for long enough. otherwise they powder coated it and then spray painted over it.. happens all the time when guys rush work, if you're local feel free to swing by, Mario

      Yes but that can't pull the powder from inside the rim. It just picks up the power that misses the rim.

    • @buffalophil3630
      @buffalophil3630 4 роки тому

      Because the powder melts back down when hitting the oven..the rim should be heated to 385 then taken out and sprayed you'll see its dull then turns shiny that's the powder literally melting

    people dont realize powder coating is "IMPACT" resistant and not scratch resistant .. you can hit it with 20 lb sledge and not mar the surface but place it on the concrete and push it across the floor and it will tear the fuck out of the coating. and is not the fault of the coating or application simply trying to expect it to do something it wasn't designed to do. if there is a coating out there that protects it against abrasion its gonna be very very very expensive .. they painted bull dozers with emron decades ago.. now its not used as its not environmentally friendly
