For installing bracket ... My bracket width is 17" and has holes along the three long sections that are 16" on center ... The bracket can be directly mounted to the ceiling in either direction if there are ceiling joists that are 16' oc ... But that may not put the fixture in the exact center of the room or where you want it (my case) ... I mounted the bracket parallel to the ceiling joists and would only be able to secure to one joist so that the fixture would be dead center of the room ... Cut 1/2" plywood to the dimension of the bracket ... Use the plywood as a template on the ceiling to mark drywall anchor locations around the periphery (8x) ... Drill and mount anchors ... Attach bracket to plywood with hanging bolts ... Mount plywood/bracket assembly to ceiling joist w/ a structural screw at each end (don't tighten) ... insert drywall anchor bolts around periphery (don't tighten) ... This video talks about weights of 271 lbs but does not show how the 271 lbs framing is selected. anchored to the ceiling. What is the typre of enchore bolt used ofr framing. Completely waste of my time. Thanks
can you at least show us how you braced and reinforced the ceiling before installing the mounting bracket? you can just draw a schematic on the paper and show it to us.
You didn’t tell us the most important part which was how you installed the weight bearing bracket
Unfortunately I did not film that.
Exactly! It was the entire reason why I was watching this video too.

Do you have a video installing a chandelier 300 lb. from a high foyer ceiling where accessable from attic and on floor trusses 24" o.c. ??
Not yet. But you never know when that is coming up.
My main questions did you screw all the screws in a stud, and what size screws?

Ahh yes a how to video 😂
