in fairness, the general standard of driving round Halifax is pretty appalling it's not unusual for drivers to do random u-turns, pull out on red lights when they get bored with waiting, slow down to walking pace and/or mount pavements to avoid speed bumps, or turn right from left-turn lanes

I've had something similar happen to me when a BMW tried to push it's way past me. At first I didn't back down and he was driving into oncoming traffic, like the estate, beeping his horn like crazy. I realised that the situation was dangerous and just let him past. I know it's frustrating, but it's not worth putting others lives and pocessions at risk. The BMW didn't get far because there was traffic; he only got ahead of me. Sad really.

Not road rage at all. You see that the evidence provided by the time and date stamp indicates that in reality everyone is driving upside down and miraculously adhering to the pavement. Additionally, the drivers of the two cars in the said dispute may actually be confused as that they are upside down and on the wrong side of the road to begin with.

Some folks get so riled by what amounts to nothing at all! If someone does something on the road that inconveniences you, just let it go. Your car is an expensive piece of machinery and your life, health and wellbeing are even more valuable.

I also say a prayer for people like that and I don't seem to have suffered any untoward consequences for my line of behaviour. The main advantage of this approach is that it usually immediately de-escalates the negative emotions that come into play in such a situation. When we fight back, we not only run the risk of a psychopathic person injuring or killing us or one of those with us, but we lower ourselves to their animal level.

Biggest problem with this is we don't know what happened before the video starts. You're supposed to leave space for overtaking vehicles to get in. *Maybe* the estate car had been overtaking dangerously but we don't know for sure. *Maybe* the blue car had tried to muscle in from the left; again, we don't know as it's not shown. Any way you slice it, they're both prats: one for starting it, the other for making an issue of it.

Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. I'm ashamed to admit it but I WAS like both of these drivers years ago. Then I thought if I was to be put away or hurt / killed, road rage would be the reason.Im much older and calmer now and just let things go even though I still get a little annoyed 😒 once in a while.

Saved for years for a nice car. It’s only then you discover how jealous some people are. Loads of them turn their cars into torpedoes just to try to make your life as miserable as theirs by attempting to damage your car just because it’s nice. That particular car was sold upon finding a lowlife had decided to key the panels. No reason other than jealousy. Driving an old banger again now and the grief has gone away.
The main question is, did the mondeo try and push in or did the Peugeot block a zipper merge? The video starts too late. If I were in the mondeo trying to zipper merge in then I would expect the Peugeot to move. Everyone has jumped on the mondeo for their aggressive driving but the Peugeot was just as aggressive.
Go down that route everyday, when it's busy then fair play to all drivers, drivers should let people merge from the right lane to the left lane every other car but I've seen it before when it's not so busy people queue up in the left lane, they are only about 5 cars in the left lane queuing then when the lights change people will just come flying down the right hand lane and expect other drivers to let them merge in, fuck em, why should they? Get in the queue like everyone else!!!
Paul Beaumont it doesn't matter how busy it is, both lanes should be used for queueing. If you were in the supermarket and there were two checkouts open would you wait at the one which was busy or go to the open one? There are two lanes for a reason and those choosing to sit on the left will end up behind someone making the correct progress.
I have to admit that there were times I have lost my temper but at least I learned that it is wrong and futile and it is better to ignore situations like these. This guy took his frustrations out on a woman, if it had been a male driver he wouldn´t have. If drivers are hell bent on displaying road rage let them do it with someone else and stay out of it. The Peugeot driver wasn't being abused. She was blocking a merge and was too stubborn herself to let it go, to the point she collided with the parked red Audi at 47 seconds rather than just backing off, then she rounded things off by brake testing the Mondeo driver when she got in front, all because she doesn't know how a merge works and wanted a fight. If she felt abused, rather than wanting to win a fight, she would have let the Mondeo driver merge when it was clear he was pushing for it. If she'd been sensible she would have allowed a merge in the first place. I'm guessing before the start of the video she was clamped to the back of the van not letting anyone merge in front of her. The van driver would have done better to hold back and let the Mondeo through.

She created the problem by blocking the merge and he decided he wasn't going to be blocked and forced the issue. She was quite happy to let it carry on to the point of crashing into parked cars. There is a merge just before this and people who have waited in the left lane for ages seem to have a sense of entitlement to their position. They just don't understand how roads work. However, the Mondeo driver was being a complete idiot here and should not have tried to push the Peugeot into parked cars.

Some folks get so riled by what amounts to nothing at all! If someone does something on the road that inconveniences you, just let it go. Your car is an expensive piece of machinery and your life, health and wellbeing are even more valuable.

Biggest problem with this is we don't know what happened before the video starts. You're supposed to leave space for overtaking vehicles to get in. *Maybe* the estate car had been overtaking dangerously but we don't know for sure. *Maybe* the blue car had tried to muscle in from the left; again, we don't know as it's not shown. Any way you slice it, they're both prats: one for starting it, the other for making an issue of it.

That's says nothing about leaving space for them to pull in and don't even say that the slowing down part is because that is for merging areas and cars that can't speed up fast enough hence why it states TRYING to over take

Saved for years for a nice car. It’s only then you discover how jealous some people are. Loads of them turn their cars into torpedoes just to try to make your life as miserable as theirs by attempting to damage your car just because it’s nice. The main question is, did the mondeo try and push in or did the Peugeot block a zipper merge? The video starts too late. If I were in the mondeo trying to zipper merge in then I would expect the Peugeot to move. Everyone has jumped on the mondeo for their aggressive driving but the Peugeot was just as aggressive.
Go down that route everyday, when it's busy then fair play to all drivers, drivers should let people merge from the right lane to the left lane every other car but I've seen it before when it's not so busy people queue up in the left lane, they are only about 5 cars in the left lane queuing then when the lights change people will just come flying down the right hand lane and expect other drivers to let them merge in, fuck em, why should they? Get in the queue like everyone else!!!
Paul Beaumont it doesn't matter how busy it is, both lanes should be used for queueing. If you were in the supermarket and there were two checkouts open would you wait at the one which was busy or go to the open one? There are two lanes for a reason and those choosing to sit on the left will end up behind someone making the correct progress.

I have to admit that there were times I have lost my temper but at least I learned that it is wrong and futile and it is better to ignore situations like these. This guy took his frustrations out on a woman, if it had been a male driver he wouldn´t have. If drivers are hell bent on displaying road rage let them do it with someone else and stay out of it. This was filmed in Salterhebble, Halifax. I've experienced this behaviour before by our brothers. I use the word brothers loosely.

Ooft, those two are very close. I'm surprised there wasn't any contact. It looks as if they're both to blame.
But why is the camera upside down?
The Peugeot driver wasn't being abused. She was blocking a merge and was too stubborn herself to let it go, to the point she collided with the parked red Audi at 47 seconds rather than just backing off, then she rounded things off by brake testing the Mondeo driver when she got in front, all because she doesn't know how a merge works and wanted a fight. If she felt abused, rather than wanting to win a fight, she would have let the Mondeo driver merge when it was clear he was pushing for it. If she'd been sensible she would have allowed a merge in the first place. I'm guessing before the start of the video she was clamped to the back of the van not letting anyone merge in front of her. The van driver would have done better to hold back and let the Mondeo through.

princess traveller Because by being in the outside lane up to the merge point he wasn't being a bad driver. She created the problem by blocking the merge and he decided he wasn't going to be blocked and forced the issue. She was quite happy to let it carry on to the point of crashing into parked cars.

There is a merge just before this and people who have waited in the left lane for ages seem to have a sense of entitlement to their position. They just don't understand how roads work.
