I hope you'll soon get the views and subscribers this quality walkthrough deserves.
Merchants having lousy stock in an undeveloped region like the Stolen Lands kinda makes sense.
There's a nice balance of story, roleplay and combat mechanics in your vids. Plus you have a nice voice. Really looking forward to more!
VillainyRock The issue with this is it should allow you access to shops before you set out (or if u go back to the starting city). That city would have full shops, but the game irrationally won’t let u access them!
This game is best party RPG in last 10 years.
Thanks a lot for this! I'm really enjoying learning, while watching you play. Please continue to upload these. Also thanks for extending the time as well. 👍☺
EDIT: I vote no mercs. I rather see the game being played with the characters the developers intended, even if they aren't optimized well.
It is worth noting, when you get your custom companions cheap by not leveling up, they do begin a few thousand experience behind the party. In my playthrough, my team had ~2500 xp (but I hadn't yet clicked the level thing) when I bought my custom companions, who came in with 0 xp. When you're partway through the game and have tens of thousands of xp, it's not so annoying, but they're noticeably slower to get through the early levels. Still worth it. I ended up getting 4, just to play around with different builds. Only ran one of them with me most of the time though.
Playing as a Paladin too, although I took a hospitaler....I love him being the center of my group and supporting Amiri, Jethal and Harrim while being a solid damage dealer with power attack + 2h. Paladin is a bit short on feats though
Great video nice to see I'm not the only one thats been one shot from dice rolls
I always wait for these to have a couple of episodes before I start watching, just caught up, heart crushed - but I can’t wait for the next episodes :)
I am getting to see your character building and play style choices first hand with this walk through. I have been thinking of getting this game and have looked at a lot of suggestions on character creation and growth during the progression of the game. Seeing how all this works first hand in the actual game is VERY helpful... I sure hope you plan to complete this game as Your method of explaining and demonstration of game mechanics is brilliant … Really learning a lot from you in this game. Keep up the good work. 5 days without a new upload is painful. I hope you are alright and have not decided to give up on playing this game.
Great playthrough (as much as there is yet). The only criticism is that you don't upload enough. But I rather have quality than quantity, and this you deliver!
Agree! But I'm a bit greedy so I still want both lol 🤗
Hi there, very much enjoying your play through and guides/advice.
You come across calm, knowledgeable and with an "easy one the ears" way of narrating your videos. No hysteria or artificial excitement, but still lively.
Haven't bought the game yet, due to the still somewhat mixed user reception and reported problems.
But expect to do so eventually, and revisit your coverage.
Keep at it.:)
I really enjoy your videos on this game. I hope you keep them up!
Really enjoyed this, great job! Wish the entire game was voice acted.
You give a lot of good advice during the character level ups. For example, that feat that gives a free demoralize when power attacking. Wow, I had no idea about that. Keep up the good work! P.s. I vote some mercs, so u can optimize them and talk about it.
Yeah Make some Chars. I say A wizard a rogue and a cleric I play a lot of Pen and Paper so I get most of what your doing and you could have gave the barb the 2 hander after you switched to the S&S
Yes! Thanks:
Hm... I am rather certain that custom companions at level 1 were 500g apiece. That makes it rather difficult to build a party of them from the start. But even a single on can help at the beginning.
Groffili Tip: it says 500, but go hire one and u will see it only actually charges u 100gp! This trick only works at lvl 1, so don’t lvl up before reaching the character hiring guy at the inn.
Playing Neutral Evil Wizard based on my avatar Lezard Valeth. What is his goal? Attain godhood.....and kill all who get in my way.....
maybe you can use mod to respec companions stats and classes because you will not go for any custom ones. It's not game breaking or cause unbalance problem to your LP but instead that will make more varieties of your team comp for maximize benefits to combat and companions'story (its DnD respec to suites your jouney is the usual things, and that for classes and stats, race and default traits or abilities are still with them btw)
Saw a different video where in comment section it was explained that by doing that you end up ruining some aspects of the latter parts of the game.
@@Geion there are differences between change to ruin or change to improve
I say we rename Tartoucio into Tardoucheio
"It be too much trouble for the gold" - Merchant literally standing 5 feet from his face.
keep the episodes coming
Yo, I don't know if it's you, but did you play MTG Arena? I think I just played against you, with a merfolks deck. I missclicked the "sleep" spell and u surrendered. Thanks dude. You're awesome.
Are you not looking everything from the bandits and selling it immediately for some RP purposes I'm not getting? I get that travelling with scaled armor and other crappy weight-to-gold ratio items aren't worth it to haul back, but he's right there. Why not grab it all and sell it for a few extra gold?
The shops are so terrible in Kingmaker that generally speaking it isn't worth the maybe 1-2k gold you would make over the course of the game selling regular armors. Once they become +1 and beyond however things change.
Since I'm using Val for story and alignment I'm running a 2h dwarf pally of Torag...my understanding is that God's favored weapon doesn't work for pallys but only cleric and inquisitors. Why not stick with the 2h for extra early game dmg?
For role-playing purposes.
Anyone else find the nymph really cringy or is it just me?
