library reading! floor reading! i love it all. i’m currently reading a book called The Crane Husband about a mother who one day brings home a new man and he is…. a crane. the writing is excellent and beautiful. hope you had a good time in LA!!
Another absolutely gorgeous video! (This is Sophie from the sophiethepegasus account- without the videos from 2009) I really love that libraries are becoming more popular. Also super cool to see you reading Brett Easton Ellis. I haven't read him, but I have got a little interested since the Once Upon A Time In Bennington College podcast, which I didn't finish due to feeling a little too voyeuristic. I felt like you could really tell that the writer/podcaster was a previous Vanity Fair writer- there was something sleazy and salacious that felt really nasty in my body, in between the times where I was taken in by the atmosphere of Bennington. Interesting experience, though!
Magician Ana unlocked🔑 Currently reading "Walking Through Clear Water in a Pool Painted Black" by Cookie Mueller, and I think you'd absolutely have a hoot with it! It's all about New York, her spending time with John Waters & Divine, and the craziness that stumbled onto her path. I believe Pato described it best: like Eve Babitz, but much darker. Hope you had a divine time soaking all that sun up in LA, Ana xx
Hi Ana! Best of luck on your Californian trip. On the (corporatized) art world, yes, controversy sells. It makes headlines, boots ratings, etc. etc. Hell, why you think America has become an orgy of lawsuits, lawyers with their guns out blazing, pow! pow! pow! Nice to see someone actually visiting the library. Does wonders, truly
Ana DARLING thank you so much for the saturday entertainment. I'm a little bit under the weather so I'm spending the evening reading. What is the song you played during the flying to California timelapse?
Lmaooo! Definitely! A Man Called Ove is good old people fiction (you’ll cry), STAGES is about a nursing home (nonfiction)! I’m blanking a bit now, but I’ll follow up with more when I remember!
Your LA friend’s backyard simply must be a scene in your debut novel. Also I’m not moving to NYC anymore 😢 but you’ve got a bookish friend and a place to stay if you’re ever in AZ 💕
was watching this and it merged with another one of your vlogs and i thought it was one epic vlog... didnt even notice the crossover... ellis and ballard in the other vlog and i dont think you couldve chosen better authors to read at the same time, cool authors to pair ... or maybe ellis in this vlog lol... anyways, great books, great vlog
I haaaaavve to ask you if you would consider to read Turkish Fruit/Turkish Delight by Jan Wolkers anytime soon since I had to read it for dutch class a while ago and I’m dying to hear your thoughts :)
Art is more about who you know, not how talented you are. In what sane world does a banana 🍌 taped to a wall sell for $120K? And it wasn't even Banksy's art. 🤷♀️
I just love the way you speak like there's this mothering energy I can't explain

17:05 That lead-up was so suspenseful. If you said anything other than BEE I would've had a heart attack
Lmaooo!! So true! Who else, but that king???
Reading content aside, I love how unhinged you are when throwing that seed across the room 😂 the OCD in me would freak!
Lmaooo you witnessed a miracle. My body saved me

My internet crush! Thank you for another great video! 🥰

With all due respect, Oleg looks like a hotter version of Tom Holland. This is a mere observation.
lmaoooo funny thing, on the subway the other day, a woman stopped us in the middle of the platform and was convinced he was Tom Holland.
NEW WORD ALERT: GUFFAW (A hearty, boisterous burst of laughter)
heheh! We love it!
I love your Energy.... So Natural🤗

Queen Ana! May I ask where you got your green scarf from?
My friend gave it to me, but it is from COS! Two years ago, so it might be on deep sale now
How does one become friends with you?
Hands up who else on here likes it when Ana talks to us about her booty!!!
