Praying it’s in the normal range. It’s way more expensive to eat healthier, but I rather spend money on GOOD food than diabetic medication.
Depends on how you look at it , it could be more costly buying medications for illnesses brought on by bad diet or even worse hospitalisation so in the end I think healthy foods are still cheaper in the long run.

Yes, when I eat unhealthy carbs I crave more carbs. I also know that eating healthy protein keeps me more satisfied and I crave less. I knew in middle school that breads made me feel bloated. I finally learned about gluten and began watching and feeling better. My motto...... If I want to see a change, I have to make a change. Whenever I need a "reset" I remind myself of my motto. One idea no one asked for: For me, it was being on lexapro. After I starting it, I gained 30 lbs in 3 months. I brought it up to my doctor & she assured me it was not related. So I continued on this medication for SEVEN YEARS. Finally after years of unexplained sickness, headaches, inflammation, & so much more, I took a genetic test that showed me that of its class, lexapro was THE WORST for my body. Got off & lost 50 lbs in one year after my body finally detoxed. All I can say is thank you Lord!!!!

She tried to put me on 30mg at one point. 🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t even know that genetic testing was a thing nor did I know it could be done regarding which medications are best for my body. The results showed that only Prozac would agree with me. Throughout the 7 years I gained 70 lbs total & tried desperately to lose it & could not. I didn’t understand! Medication can also be a culprit & it worked against me in every way. I would suggest to ANYONE to get this test done, although very costly. Because it saved my life!
2 things you didn't mention why ppl don't lose weight 1. Stress!! When you're under stress... you'll gain weight 2. Women over 35 ... make sure get your hormones checked bcuz hormone levels are extremely important in perimenopause & beyond

I’m 46 had my weight loss surgery in 2021 did great losing the weight then beginning of 2023 I gained so much weight. Had my appt with bariatric surgeon recently and we’re trying to do injection called zepbound if my insurance covers it if not Dr will have to reverse my surgery to bypass since I did the sleeve . She told me calories is the one I need to watch and carbs told me that working out at the gym isn’t working for me to lose weight it makes me gain weight . I am at the gym to lose weight and excerise for my arthritis in my knee in order to get a knee replacement but the Bariatric surgeon tells me to stop going to the gym but I am gonna keep going cause I am restricted by Knee surgeon and my PT told me to . I am trying to track my calories and carbs and it’s hassle to do but I’m trying .
Yes for me consistency is the most difficult part. I've done it a few times especially since becoming a mom and being on my own most of the time, where I'll be committed for a couple weeks but then I lose that motivation when things get hard/stress sets in and it's easier to just eat whatever. I'm definitely a stress eater as well. This time I am trying my best to work out, stay in a calorie deficit and eat wholesome foods/eliminate fast food & junk food and that includes keeping that stuff out of the house as much as possible. I know I have to stay consistent to actually see a change and I know I owe it to myself and my little one to be the healthiest version of me that I can be. Your videos and recipes have been helpful (subscribed) and I am still learning about foods I can put together that will help me through this journey, thank you for the motivation!!

Complacency is definitely the worst. I used to be so disciplined when I was younger but after university stress, medication, and moving in with my boyfriend, I've ballooned to 125 lbs :(. I feel awful about myself but now I'm determined to shed everything and become the most ideal version of myself. Hoping to lose 10 lbs by next year. Can't ever get comfortable again, worst mistake.

Carbs absolutely make me hungrier and crave more and more. It’s just science unfortunately because I love bread and butter and pasta and all the yummy carbs but I just can’t eat them without gaining. I am totally fine with the alternatives once in a while but really just plain good whole foods is my answer. This world sure doesn’t make it easy….

I can’t eat breakfast anymore for a long time now after Covid, so I like to go for a protein bar with tea. Type 2 diabetic for a long time and can’t seem to bring sugars down. On meds and changed my diet to complex carbs to help bring insulin level down. Could that be the reason I can’t lose weight? I can’t seem to shift it and found out the reason. If insulin is high you can’t lose weight. I watched Dr Boz’a video and she advised to lose weight and to bring insulin down, eat sardines with sauce of your choice for 72 hrs. This will boost weight loss. But can it be eaten with onions and garlic? Please make a video about this will be so helpful. ❤
I have PCOS with hypothyroidism…carbs like pasta and bread and cookies-once I start I want to finish it ALL. Then I’m exhausted because my blood sugar spiked and dropped. Plus, the next day my weight will actually go up a few pounds. Breaking the cravings are hard…Lenny & Larry chocolate chip cookies are ridiculously addictive and I’m not sure why since they don’t taste like a traditional chocolate chip cookie. Anyway, Thank you!

My mom and I are starting it and we have some ideas of what we’re going to be eating for lunch and dinner, a little bit more details would help. For example, is there any kind of carbs that you eat? Like our corn tortillas OK or low-carb tortillas OK for the 10 days
It’s so hard to find food that doesn’t have sugar in the ingredients. Even broth & mayo has sugar in it. You can find products but they are so expensive.
Thanks for the talk. It helps me so much! I lost over 100lbs on low carb years before. I didnt stay on the low carb. Since i can cook good, have a huge love of pasta, bread, and quit smoking and then, had a love for cookies, the weight came back. I've started back and loosing.
I definitely agree, because i was keto before and the results were amazing lost over 70lbs... Now im trying to ease back on it. I think my main problem is i dont eat enough fulfilling meals through out the day which in turn causes me to snack more and at times on anything because im hungry at that point and its accessible. But i feel once i get over that part then the rest would be a walk in the park.

I have done all these. I have rid of all these carbs and unhealthy foods, but still my blood sugar is high. I also exercise, but nothing helps my blood sugar! I am a very keto, almost carnivore! I am also doing intermittent fasting. I don't understand why I am not losing weight? I wish I could have some advices!
Try and do water fasting for 7 days if you can, then just fruits, veggies and eggs for another 3 weeks, be mindful of the types of fruits you take, fruits void of carbs and sugars .
I do love your channel and love your cooking ideas. When you're working out you do need more vitamins and calories than someone that doesn't work out every day. For me i eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and eat chicken, fish and lean meat. I stay away from all processed and packaged foods. This has kept me fit and trim for over twenty years. And I would just say that activity level is super important for maintaining a long life of health and then, of course, you're gonna naturally be laying and trim. I feel like more physical activity, like walking and hiking will help tremendously on overall health and fitness.

I have been cutting sugar and starchy carbs for about a month. I have lost about 5 lbs but I feel and see the fat coming off my body. I'm hoping my A1c will get back to under 5.7.
oh man those Starbucks drinks lol. Im in a Starbucks Facebook group and the things that people post that they order blow me away. Like just a shameless 10 pumps of syrup to start your day lol. I think so many people don't even think about about it. I try not to exceed 100 calories for my morning coffee, id much rather have food calories

It’s so hard to find food that doesn’t have sugar in the ingredients. Even broth & mayo has sugar in it. You can find products but they are so expensive.

Thanks for the talk. It helps me so much! I lost over 100lbs on low carb years before. I didnt stay on the low carb. Since i can cook good, have a huge love of pasta, bread, and quit smoking and then, had a love for cookies, the weight came back. I've started back and loosing.

I definitely agree, because i was keto before and the results were amazing lost over 70lbs... Now im trying to ease back on it. I think my main problem is i dont eat enough fulfilling meals through out the day which in turn causes me to snack more and at times on anything because im hungry at that point and its accessible. But i feel once i get over that part then the rest would be a walk in the park.

I have done all these. I have rid of all these carbs and unhealthy foods, but still my blood sugar is high. I also exercise, but nothing helps my blood sugar! I am a very keto, almost carnivore! I am also doing intermittent fasting. I don't understand why I am not losing weight? I wish I could have some advices!
Try and do water fasting for 7 days if you can, then just fruits, veggies and eggs for another 3 weeks, be mindful of the types of fruits you take, fruits void of carbs and sugars .
How do you make your drinks healthy
I do love your channel and love your cooking ideas. When you're working out you do need more vitamins and calories than someone that doesn't work out every day. For me i eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and eat chicken, fish and lean meat. I stay away from all processed and packaged foods. This has kept me fit and trim for over twenty years. And I would just say that activity level is super important for maintaining a long life of health and then, of course, you're gonna naturally be laying and trim. I feel like more physical activity, like walking and hiking will help tremendously on overall health and fitness.

I have been cutting sugar and starchy carbs for about a month. I have lost about 5 lbs but I feel and see the fat coming off my body. I'm hoping my A1c will get back to under 5.7.

oh man those Starbucks drinks lol. Im in a Starbucks Facebook group and the things that people post that they order blow me away. Like just a shameless 10 pumps of syrup to start your day lol. I think so many people don't even think about about it. I try not to exceed 100 calories for my morning coffee, id much rather have food calories
