Woah, I was not expecting to be crying before the song even started but here I am bawling my eyes out! It's such a powerful song and the visuals just make it so much bigger than life!
You have to react to "Remember When" by the Bad Wolves.
It is a song inspired by frontman Tommy Vext's difficult relationship with his identical twin brother.
The song shows that they were very close as kids, doing everything together.
But they both took separate directions in life. Tommy wound up doing music and getting sober. His twin stayed involved as a drug dealer and became addicted to drugs. In 2010 he broke into Tommy's apartment, Tommy came home and walked into a home invasion. He was struck with a crowbar, received a fractured skull, a broken arm, and was beaten until his spleen burst. He was rushed to the hospital and actually died. Thankfully they were able to bring him back to life.
Tommy said "My twin brother is currently serving 17 years for attempted murder, he tried to kill me during a home invasion when he was high in 2010.
Testifying against him was definitely one of the more difficult moments of my life".
It is a great song, but I can only listen to it on audio, I can't watch the video, I cry every time.😥

That is the reaction this song deserves. Great job 👏 The goosebumps come back no matter how many times you listen to it. If you get a chance could you check out Chris Cornell’s cover of Nothing compares 2 U. It’s the only other cover I know that is in the same league as this and sound of silence.

To take such an iconic song about the tragedies of war, make it relevant to whats going on today , add to it the fact that nothing ever changes and finally turn it into such a gut wrenching tribute is a utterly amazing. Thank you Delores, The Cranberries, Tommy , Bad Wolves & Suffi Reax for playing this and giving such a powerful song such a great tribute.

When I i first heard Dolores sing, "and their bombs and their bombs," I thought it seemed redundant. The evening news talked about bombs dropped on target and a car bomb attack. Their bombs and their bombs suddenly lost all redundancy. The clever way they kept tanks, bombs, and bombs in their cover while subtlely changing guns to drones drove home the "STILL fighting".

tommy's voice sent this song to a new level and kudos to bad wolves for donatin the proceeds to delores's kids l love the husky rasp he has to his voice it also be cool the way the actress recreated delores's gold body paint and outfit tommy also has solo stuff l listen to him on spotify yeh 1-15-18 be the day delores o'riordon past away she passed due to drownin in her london hotel bathtub due to alcohol intoxication her bac(blood alchohol content) was 330 mg/dL (0.33%) so she was well over 3 times the legal limit

Hello from a vet in England, I was in the army in 1972 at the hight of the troubles. This song nails my feelings about that terrible time. I like your reactions to all the videos so here the thing, you said you wish that you could have heard Delores sing with Bad Wolves.... Well thats not possible but I found the next best thing. They changed the meaning of the song. The original was about the plague that is violence. This is about the internal struggle (war) that is depression. She committed suicide.

I love that you take a look at the different versions of songs. This is not bad but I prefer the original. I really appreciate the way they honoured the original & Delores in this. To have heard her on this with them would have been amazing 🥲. As I said on the other this song will always be relevant unfortunately
I love this song as a tribute to the Cranberries. It's very genuinely a love letter to the original and a great way of honoring Dolores.
I agree though I think the original is better, but I think it's hard to truly capture the emotion of the original because she was an Irish citizen who'd just watched two children being killed in the supposed name of her own country and the raw emotion of what she must have been feeling in that moment really bleeds through the original song. It's not something that you can just copy/paste.
Hey bro, I unfortunately just saw this reaction and yes sadly 6+ months late. I completely agree with you end song comments as I still get the goosebumps every time I listen to this version. Bad wolves absolutely killed it as I also tear up because of the emotion and symbolism incorporated to the video. The reason I’m adding a comment this late is a request for you. You mentioned tributes to iconic songs / bands that this is high on the list of covers/ tributes. I’d urge to check out a very highly viewed song by a band none other than Nightwish. If you have not heard of them they’re a symphonic metal band outta Finland. They happened to pay tribute back in 2005 to a very iconic band of Pink Floyd and the song is called “High Hopes”. If you so choose to view it and are unsure of the song. I’d watch the original by PF then watch Nightwishes version. You’ll be amazed as many hardcore PF fan base gives huge props for Nightwishes take on the original. Both songs are phenomenal in the live versions

Just watched your vid on the original. Loved your overall analysis.. However one thing I think you missed was the feeling she conveys both in her voice and guitar playing, She somehow managed to capture The raw sorrow and pain felt by far too many.
Also, while the song was written due to the bombings in UK and the troubles as a whole, the whole song is an anguished cry against the senselessness of war(any violent conflict) and the pain it brings

yeah this version is a masterpiece as well as the original. This is heavier than the original in large part to the lead guitar. Its an ESP Horizon, ESP is high quality from Japan. When you need a guitar solo to cut through the mix there isnt anything better than an ESP. Think Metallica!
That’s Doc Coyle (formerly from Godforbid) playing that solo. Dude shreds. I saw him fill in for Lamb of God’s guitarist when they opened up for Metallica in 2012.
