Interestingly, Tommy Vext (vocalist) was the only member to record the song. The band was just in the video. He used studio musicians. He was the only one entitled to money and donated every penny to her kids. Bad Wolves is Tommy Vext.

The fine grammar points behind the izÄfa have mystified the world to this day.
The painted woman wrote the day she died in the paint on the screen, in memory, she is where Delores would have been and the pain is to represent Delores in her music video.
Dolores had been impressed by them and had agreed to fly to them and appear on the cover version vocally and in a reprise of the "gold girl" who had to be played by a model with the same look. They had waited for her that morning and then finally checked and she was found dead in her bath at the hotel. Since they gave all proceeds from the song to her kids, that was a tidy sum and she would have liked that. Great cover! Great reaction! R.I.P. Dolores.
Love this cover. I had always wondered how it would sound with a hard rock male vocalist. Then they did this and didn't disappoint.
With this particular song, nothing will ever beat the original no matter what.... but god damn they came close.

Not exactly. She died the very morning she was scheduled to enter the studio to re-record the chorus for this version; it's been a while since I heard the interview, but if memory serves one of Bad Wolves' production team was the last person to speak to her before she died; he was calling to confirm the studio session details with her.
The date the “Gold Girl” writes is the 1-15-18. (15th January 2018 for us UK folk). It’s the day she died
Best thing that could have ever happened for this band is her dying before this song came out. Marketing gold.
I saw a comment recently where someone said that this is a song that really could never be covered and they see this as more of a tribute. 100% agree!!!
The true story of the singers life is insane , Tommy Vext's twin brother who was a junky broke into his apartment and actually killed Tommy while trying to rob him. He was later resuscitated, He wrote a song about it.

This is a brilliant cover and massive respect to Bad Wolves for donating all the proceeds to this song to Dolores children. Tommy the lead singer has left the band now but the have a song called "Remember When" which is about Tommy and his brother and is a hard hitting true story hile at the same time a brilliant song, would definitely recommend reacting to that. Keep up the good work lads! 👍

This song was written by the Cranberries for two young boys who were blown up and killed by an IRA bomb walking by a bin outside McDonald's in Warrington England on Feb 26 1993, the boys were Tim Parry aged 12 and Jonathen Ball aged 3. They were innocent victims of war between Ireland and the UK, thankfully this war is over forever one hopes. But, may the souls from both sides of this long hard war finally RIP.

Definitely check out their song/video for Remember When. It talks about when the lead singer's twin brother killed him when the lead singer Tommy returned to his apartment. Thankfully and obviously Tommy was revived. Unfortunately he's no longer the lead singer of Bad Wolves

I saw a comment on a reaction to this video a few months ago that said the original versions of songs like this and "Sound of Silence" were pleas to change our ways and stop doing what we're doing to harm future generations, but that this version and Disturbed's cover of the latter are now demands for change.

Well done for reacting to this guys, its such a great song and such a good cover. if you listen to the lyrics you will see that bad wolves changed some of the words to "drones" instead of bombs etc and that was to say that in 2018 things still havent changed.

Tommy Vext is a pretty great singer. He's since left Bad Wolves, but a damned good song he did with them is 'Remember When'. It's a very powerful song about something really messed up Tommy went through.
EDIT: Also, another male band called Breed 77 did their own cover.
The lead singer did a Viral video a few years ago about media pushing racism. His name is Tommy Vext. I bet that is what you saw him on.

Dolore O'Riordan (lead singer of the cranberries) wasnt supposed to be singing with him im pretty sure. she was the original creator of the song so to do a mini memorial they did a cover.

I really liked this and the Sound of Silence cover out the gate, I thought it'd be like a cool thing that rock fans would like, but then EVERYONE latched on to them like it was the second coming or some shit and that just pissed me off. I love the fact that they donated all proceeds of those song to Delores's Children. That is incredibly selfless and amazing. By the way, in the original video Delores was the Golden Lady.

I love this cover so much, but it makes me sad. I can only think how good that would have sounded with Dolores.
I really liked this and I really disliked the original the way Delores sang she sounded like one of those rubber chickens being squeezed, but the problem with liking this cover to was that so did everyone else lol, so you heard it, I'm not kidding, every 45minutes on Rock Radio and then it really started to get on my nerves lol. Same with Sound of Silence Disturbed cover. Also it really sucks to say but the best thing that could've happened for this band was Delores dying before coming in to record tracks on this song. Best marketing ever for them. It's brutal to put it that candidly but it's the truth.
Jesus fuck. First off, Delores had an amazing voice and this song had a very significant meaning to the people of her country. I was actually disappointed that she backed this project because Five Flavour Fruit Punch are an embarrassment, especially singing a song about the struggles in Ireland and changing the lyrics. The ONLY good thing to come out of this was her children getting the proceeds. The fact that you likened her death to good marketing for the ban is fucking shameful.
