- In this Quick Look, Charles showcases the all new 2016 Nissan Maxima. It's completely redesigned and looking better than ever. This particular car is the SR package in Pearl White.
Some of the new styling cues in the redesign include: the wing swept headlights, a new fog light design, a new two tone grill section, a new body line going down the sides and a "floating" roof design. The SR package include 19 inch aluminum alloy wheels.
On the inside, you'll notice the new seat design on this package: a suede leather quilted insert. The seats are ventilated as well. The SR package comes with paddle shifters for your manual driving mode a a race inspired steering wheel.

Bad ass car in my opinion!
I bought a Maxima Platinum 4 days ago, white with black interior. I finally made it through the manual today. The radars are very useful and accurate. What a fun car to drive! The safety features are quite remarkable. Everything about this car says, "user friendly". I just learned today that it even has microphones in the ceiling for active noise cancelling. Amazing car.
Nobody can tell me what the little yellow "sun icon" is that shows up once in a while on the driver information screen in the upper left corner. Today, it was a little sun with a few clouds. LOL
I guess you figured it out bu now bro, that it is a changing weather icon, LOL. Are you still paying for SXM, which is a prerequisite for the weather icon to show up. I have a 2017. Love it!
this car is so sexy
I have and love the car but one wrong piece of information is that only the Google search app in Nissan Connect works. Nothing else is compatible.
i was shown a 2017 with carplay and loved it, they didn't have the black on black car i wanted so they transferred one from another dealership within 24 hours. i went in to pick it up gorgeous black on black like i asked for but when i test drove it i noticed no apple carplay it was in fact a 2016 model with only google search. None the less i still purchased it! i got a brand new 2016 Maxima S for $24K out the door for the mistake the dealership made of ordering the 2016 instead of the 2017 :)
I hope within the next couple of years when im ready to trade in they have an all wheel drive version....you know to prepare me for my GTR purchase one day :D
well seeing the new altima has awd im guessing thats going to be a option on whatever/whenever the next gen maxima will be.

How does the stereo sound?
+zip89105 Stereo sounds great to me! I had 3 mos. free from Sirius and now I use usb sticks - my ipod doesn't work. Although I can't speak on the sound from sitting in the rear (haven't been a passenger yet haha) but it has 10 Bose speakers and the one in the center of the dashboard makes it sound really good IMO.
+Judy Lynn Good to hear. Bose is almost a guarantee of great sound. I ended purchasing a Fusion SE with Ford's mid-level OEM stereo, which is very good in my opinion. I got the 240hp 2.0 motor too. Less than $23K before TTL. $25.5 w/TTL. Happy camper here.

the technology is ridiculously stupid. we really need sensors to tell us we are driving close behind someone. blind spot sensors really? im not liking the technology on these new cars. so whats the point of 'driving' if you're not going to be driving. we need to check our social networks on this because? i actually was thinking about buying one but with these 'this model has that model has that' is bs
all that aside, it's still an awesome vehicle

***** NO WAY! I have driven both and the Max is the better looking of the two.....it also drives much better. I test drove the Max SR and the Kia SX turbo. Kudos to Nissan !

the only colour that genuinely looks good is black but other than that i agree with you
+-Subspace- I looked at the black color first. It's nice but I decided on pearl white. Glad I chose the pearl white. You can't see the separation of the "floating" roof pillars as well on the black. It rocks on the white!

I've tried it out n they did a pretty good job with it. it's funny how most ppl bash on the car's cvt when they haven't even tried it
Blaze Flame Yea well you're talking to a guy who knows much more than you assume, and obviously when you cant power shift you cant get all the power the cars willing to give, so come back at me guy.
not really tryna fight anyone, just saying the car is still pretty fast and good for any average day person not tryna take it street racing. if your looking for a sports car, then go for the 370z. This is for ppl who want a luxury car with a little speed
Blaze Flame Oh yea 370z is a sweet peace but is beatable with a 350hr motor which inspired the 370s motor option.
+Blaze Flame Personally I think the CVT has improved over the years. Maybe because this is the 1st V6 I've had in a while but after driving a 2011 Rouge & a 2013 Rouge (don't judge, I had elderly parents) I certainly can feel the difference.
