    Excellent talk by Dr Milo Jones. The connection between AI and leadership is not immediately obvious by Dr Jones manages to discuss it with insight and extract the relevant conclusions. It is not easy as Dr Jones does in his work to integrate various disciplines, connect the dots and identify the key trends and risks. I have followed his teachings and lectures for some time now and find them invariably valuable and well thought-through. This is another great example. Thank you.

    Being responsible for Eastern Europe & Central Asia region within IE Business School International Development department, I invited Milo to deliver a series of talks in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. This tour has become one of the most successful in my 4 years at IE; great attendance rates and very active audience participation. Milo is an outstanding speaker who delivers both great content and a very engaging presentation.

      You cant lie your way out of this Milo. You cant lie your way through life. You have misrepresented yourself again. I just took a screen shot and forwarded it to Frontex. What day are you available to pick up a summons to appear from the US Embassy ? Come on Milo stop playing the jurisdiction game.

    Wonderful talk! With all the artificial intelligence doomsday scenarios floating around out there, Dr. Jones’ closing remark that “the ‘new normal’remains human” is certainly reassuring. Makes me wish I could go back to business school and retake his Government, Business and Society course - by far my favourite MBA course. Dr. Jones is a wonderful professor.

    I regularly include Milo as an expert speaker in the work my team and I do across Europe, and he's an absolute crowd pleaser. I think what's best about his content is that he takes content about technology issues and intelligence tools - topics that can seem quite quite nebulous, and makes them relevant to business professionals. Always a pleasure to work with Milo, and hear his talks.

    Always engaging, challenging and fact-based, a talk by Milo Jones is a rare find in this day and age: a way to make yourself better informed (and simply smarter) with only a modest investment of time. How many lectures do that?

    Start from 11:45 to get 80% of the point to this talk.
    Start from 7:00 to get 98% of information that the title implies this video is about.
    Summary: "A human team, with decent algorithmic advise, and a good process for deciding what decisions [the human team makes] versus what decisions the algorithm makes, beats not only the best AI, [...] but it also beats objectively better players with better machines but a bad process [determining who makes what decisions]". And ... "Don't think as much about raw IQ. Don't think as much about strategy. Think about process and think about humility. [...] There are certain moves that I need to accept are better made by a computer. But that does not mean humans are irrelevant in the process. [...] The new normal remains human".
    Skip the first half of the talk. It does not address what AI means to leadership in the first half. The first 7 minutes are mostly about well-known bits of random AI information that have nothing to do with the main message.

At this point no one believes a word that comes out of his mouth He was humiliated at the euromoney conference in Doha Qatar because he misrepresented his employment history. He is incapable of telling the truth. Check out his financial statements for his consulting firm. They are like a kids allowance from his parents

    Why were you forced out of the USMC Milo?

    • @mhljones
      @mhljones 5 років тому

      That is a lie. "Daily Truth" a pseudonym being used by my wife's ex-husband, Ashby Moncure, who has mounted an online harassment campaign against me for several years. Though he and I have never met, he is angry about owing child support (enough to prevent him from getting a passport, and enough for the state of Michigan to generate a bench warrant for his arrest). The poor man has a history of mental illness, including involuntary confinement to a psychiatric ward in Massachusetts, and his last known address was a half-way house. I hope he seeks professional help.

      More lies from my wife's ex-husband, whom I have never met. For the record: "Daily Truth" is a pseudonym used by my wife's ex-husband (whom I have never met), to harass and defame me online. The poor man has a history of drug abuse and mental health issues (including a period of involuntary confinement in a Massachusetts mental hospital) , and an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He has been writing rubbish like this about her and me for over ten years.
      I am happy to show my USMC Commission, Honorable Discharge, and the awards and decorations that I earned in service to anyone who doubts this.

Though he and I have never met, he is angry about owing child support (enough to prevent him from getting a passport, and enough for the state of Michigan to generate a bench warrant for his arrest). "Emilo Perez" is one of the pseudonyms used by my wife's ex-husband to harass and defame me online. The poor man has a history of drug abuse, extended unemployment, faking illness, and involuntary confinement for mental health issues. Though he and I have never met, he is upset because he is estranged from his daughter. This estrangement has nothing to do with me, but nevertheless, he lashes out online at me and my wife on a regular basis. I have repeatedly urged him to seek help, and I do so again here. Pull yourself together, buddy. You only have one life, and you're wasting it.
