Don’t know how kevin deals with it. Saddest quote i heard him say years ago. “ i used to be a brother and now i’m not even a brother”. He is quite strong as a man.

No matter what, there is always a way out, and a reason to be. What a sad story, that did in its own way have had a good ending. I also cannot wait to see “The Claw”. Losing a brother to mental health issues that leads to suicide is the saddest most painful thing. Knowing you'll see each other again someday will be an indescribable healer
Couldn't imagine losing all my siblings in such a tragic way. The pain that Kevin's heart must have been incredibly heavy burden on him. Glad that he was strong enough to battle through the pain and managed to stay alive all these years.
“Sometimes it’s really hard; sometimes you feel like you can’t make it - but you can. Don’t quit. Keep fighting.” Man, I know everyone’s heard that kind of quote and sentiment a hundred times before. But when it comes from a man who had truly lost everything too fast, too soon, too violently, and came back from it a humble, good man? Truly inspiring and encouraging.

Having a brother, and three sisters, who I'm very close with, I couldn't imagine going through what Kevin has... He's an extremely strong man, I woulda went completely off the rails, and never came back...
One of my favorite stories Kevin told He was in his lowest of lows. He wasn't about to take his life, but he was angry at the world and just wanted to fight somebody, anybody. He felt the best place to fight was in prison, so he was going to steal a gun and get arrested. He walked into a gun store where three Texas good ol' boys (grown men, of course) were inside. Kevin just grabbed a rifle and stuffed it down his pants, stiff-legging it out of the store as the three men watched him. He turned to them and said "got somethin' to say?" and one of them just looked at him for several long moments before simply saying "we love ya, Kev" and let him leave. Kevin sat in his car with the rifle in his lap, taking in the gravity of what he had just done. He walked back into the store, set the rifle back on the counter, and gave the three men a hug and thanked them. He said that simple gesture was enough to save him. We love ya, Kev

Funny that now, he has a ranch right near mine and i drive by it alot every time thinking of the good ole days......thank you Kevin for keeping the name and your family strong!
I came back to watch this piece one more time. It's so great to see Kevin, and listen to him speak. I mean him and Kerri were like Super Heroes to me and my little brother. I would be Kerri, and he would be Kevin. For a kid in the 4th grade I had quite the drop kick which I put on display during many neighborhood King of the Hill battles. The leg scissors is a move that I have actually used many times in real life fights. I still terrorize my nieces and nephews to this day with the Iron claw. I live out in small town East Texas, I got my eyes open now, looking forward to the day I get lucky enough to run into him.
I live in San Francisco but for some reason we use to get to see WCCW from Texas and i just became glued to the promotion it was the best better than WWF, AWA and NWA. The Von Erich family were the best but when all the tragedy started to happen it was hard to believe or understand especially when you are a 9 year like i was. I'm glad Kevin has kept it together.
