  • What are the ENTP Personality Types main stressors and anxiety factors? What do ENTPs worry about the most and what scares the mmore than anything? How can the ENTPs grow to deal with and manage stress and anxiety better?
If you're an ENTP in the MBTI, you may experience these patterns when trying to grow and develop yourself. It's common to get stuck in loops and to get habitual about things, to walk in circles, and to avoid challenges.

I'm an ENTP, and that last part about us choosing a path outside our comfort zone even though it's difficult (and knowing our loop is there to lean on if we fail) was encouraging. More ENTP videos please! :)

The thing why i dont commit to an idea is cause im not satisfied with it.
I know i can come up with something better.
I hold a very high Standard to myself.
If i have an idea i think what can happen if i finish it.
If im not satisfied with where it leads me i dont wanna waste energie on it.
This is why i generally dont finish them.

This is definitely one of the reasons why I don't finish things too. But other reasons include either that I can't be arsed or that I feel I have something better or more interesting to do with my time. Usually to me, an unfinished project is a task thats gotten monotonous and I'm dreading picking it up again.

Exactly this, I don't commit to an idea NOT because I always seek novelty. I don't commit to it because I seek perfection. But when I finally succeed at finishing something. Boy, I will admire my creation by looking and relieving it for days feeling proud of myself.

I’m an ENTP but I think one of my strengths is long term vision. My favorite quote is a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. I
Don’t change plans often but when I do it’s after I’ve played out every possible scenario in my head in order to make the best decision or what I think would be the best decision.

I can relate to some things you say, but I cannot relate to the stress part. My struggle is that I do not stick to a project because at some point I can see how it will develop and I know I can do it, but from that point forward it gets just boring. After a few years, I sometimes regret that I did not finish so many projects because I imagine it would have felt nice to have this sense of achievement. And anxiety.. mostly I feel anxiety when I think about my achievements and think that I did not yet found „the project“ that is worth my full dedication, that I long to give.

One of the best if not the best video I have seen over ENTPs. I didn’t believe I was an ENTP for the longest time but everything ties me to it. The only thing is I feel like I am very emotional but it’s an intelligence- only certain things will get me emotional and I’m not sure how to explain it. Anyway, I feel like my emotional side prevents me from pursuing my goals, like you said, we’re mostly scared of not having any return if we stress and work ourselves a lot; I constantly yearn for validation

My gathering as an ENTP is that when we are utilizing our NeTi in strength, we are less likely to become stressed or anxious. The moment when we are surrounded by introverted sensing, it falls apart. Once we begin to try new ideas because we want to experience way too many things at once, that's when we become scatterbrained and the procrastination starts because we struggle with which idea is more fun at the moment. Should I do the boring thing to get it out of the way or should I do the fun thing that will keep me occupied all night? It's a struggle between sensing that we cannot seem to understand.
Then it gets worse when we are drowned with our FeSi because when friends come around and they convince us to just take a break, that break can go on for weeks and we end up kicking ourselves. We won't regret it but we kick ourselves anyways LOL

Ranjit Pillai Pick a long term goal, or multiple goals if you can’t decide on one 😂. Work towards that goal and develop why you want to achieve that goal. Don’t worry too much about set backs or being in a rut usually you learn something from it that that is invaluable to you. It’s all part of the process. Also work out, it keeps you grounded. Another strange tip getting haircuts, generally grooming and cleaning your room helps to keep that inferior Si at bay.

this is a real life experience of an ENTP with the long term goal.
Four years ago I set a goal and this goal I have seing it being so near yet so far in the past year. Of course four years ago I knew it would take me this long but now I am here I sometimes suffer from not having it yet. What do I do? simply I tell myself at some point I will get there and now i take the best chances I have now for the medium term goal. Because rn I am so near I cannot talk long term, now is medium term distance. But it's still so far that I cannot enjoy the road because the choice I am going to have to do for this goal is not the best I would like to be doing.

4:19 - This is why I'm tempted to start my own business but I choose not too because I can't be arsed putting the time, energy and patience into it long term. And it's also the unpredictability of it. It makes it too risky. I like predictability and guarentees. You don't get predictability and guarentees with starting a business whereas being employeed, you can predict your income. Also, I'm not confident enough in myself that I can make a success of a business. I'm always worried about failure. I can't stand the idea of failing. I have to spend the time needed to investigate all angles and possibilities and the success of a business relies on quick calculated decisions - which I find a difficult thing to do. So by the time I've investigated all angles on each situation that presents itself to me, my business would have folded because my strategy is too time consuming for the business to excel.
Also, the majority of my employment life is that I picked up a bit of experience in lots of different things but never truely mastered anything so I was never recognised as a specialist in anything in particular. So getting someone to give me a job was also difficult. I also had a tendancy to give up on a specific role because it was either too monotonous, didn't pay enough to what I believed I should be getting for the job or that I didn't progress into something bigger and more respectable and rewarding quick enough for my liking. This has made the first 10 years of my adult life particularly difficult because I was never seen as employable until in the last few years where my job experience in something in particular has excelled into something that I now how have recruitment agencies contacting me for work over, which has boosted my ego lately.

Im so happy that I was born a wimp! If I wasn´t, I would weight at least 140Kilos with my 1,70m and died in my early 20´s cuz of heart attack. Ironically I went with 15 years to the gym to gain some bodyweight, then I had a bit structure in my life and my whole life went better. I nearly surrendered to make school until highshool, simply too less endurance. But due to sports with my INTJ - friend, endurance was getting a thing. At least I am student and hardly can imagine to do a vanilla job anymore. I couldn´t even at 20, that was my downfall and stand up/ growing age.
But: is there anyone who had the same experience? Do you know how to progress after university? I landed in a loop for the past 3 years T-T. I think too often to do something other again. And I don´t want to think so. Actually I like my Job and my studying, I know I would regret to leave that behind. But I struggle so hard by losing focus all the time: my Si, or inner feeling betrays me all the time.

a lot of misinformation here my friend! ENTPs lacking vision?!?! you clearly haven't done your homework! among the many names ENTPs are also called "The Visionaries"! an ENTPs lacks diplomacy? Where need be ENTPs make superb diplomats in fact I myself am highly diplomatic. You also imply that ENTPs would struggle with a business and this I think varies with the individual as Ben Franklin, Mark Cuban and Thomas Edison were all excellent businessmen. There's godly ENTPs like Alexander of Macedon and beady eyed Joes ENTPs who couldn't carry a stick, just like theres Napoleon like ENTJs and dead beat ENTJs somewhere so place! There's a spectrum of opposites and everything else in between so It all depends on the individual🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @ashleelmb
      @ashleelmb 5 років тому +1

I don't think he was clear enough here but I think he meant that ENTP's lack the long term vision in order to see something through. ENTP's are called visionaries because their visionary tendancies are short term before they/we want to move onto something new for whatever reason.
Also, starting a business needs that long term vision and commitment and I can truely say that as an ENTP, I have considered starting a business but I've chose not to because I can't be arsed putting the time and the energy into it in case it fails. This is where ENTP's such as myself, lack vision long term because having the business idea is easy enough for an ENTP but it's the unpredictability of having a business, not knowing how much income you'll have from week to week that makes me feel disatisfied with the idea and puts me off.
