  • Just some ambient noodling on my stereo Kraken rig. hoping to see if I can pinpoint the cause of my last steams technical issues.
    ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Feel free to read this ⬇️⬇️⬇️
    Hey guys, I’m Rabea. I'm the lead guitarist in Toska, Frog Leap & Dorje where I write music, make songs and have a great time with my mates. I also have my own line of guitars with Chapman Guitars, and I’ve designed numerous products with some really cool companies, such as the Victory Amps VX Kraken. Anyway, i hope you enjoy my videos, thank you for watching!

    The more I listen to Rabea play the more he is becoming one of my favorite guitarists. I love that he seems comfortable in pretty much any setting musically. For a while I seemed to only click on videos where he played blues and he did so very convincingly. I was resigned to the notion ‘oh ok he’s a great blues guitarist’. Then hearing some of his Toska songs and his approach on the Frogleap stuff and it’s like omg he’s also a very modern “djent” capable player as well! Dude is phenomenal. I love Rabea he’s so humble and unassuming while letting his playing speak for him. So glad I’ve come to appreciate Rabea I am a fan and look forward to studying all of his work! Dude knows gear too!

      Heck yeah man, It's like... If I were actually able to get my ideal guitar tones/riffs/noodles/etc. from my head to an actual amplifier, this is what I envision it would be. However, I am lazy and scatterbrained so it is very difficult for me to focus and commit.

    • @LifeHawkeye
      @LifeHawkeye Рік тому

      @@Itowle9 Lol totally hear you man. I’ve been attempting a lot more ambient type playing lately and it’s not near Rabea’s level whatsoever. I recently purchased the Plini plug-in by Neural DSP and gotta say there are some nice ambient sounding patches on there though. Effects do help lol.

    I find in your playing, that your humbuckers do an incredible job of not really sacrificing much high end, and your strat doesn’t sound brittle and harsh all while going into the same presets!.. would you say you accomplish this because of the pickups themselves and the way they’re tuned or do you use any different input settings when switching to different guitars?

    If you're looking at Lollars I would definitely recommend the "blackface " set , especially with an Ash bodied strat...the slight bit of extra midrange from the blackfaces compliment ash strats quite well. And you want a bit of extra drive from the bridge pickup, the "strat special " bridge pairs nicely with the BF neck and middle as well.
