You are missing the other main reason for going abroad and it's not only quality education but better quality of life..especially when after having kids.
People don't go abroad just to get a job and earn for a living, there are many other factors which attracts including clean roads, good environment, no corruption less population, clean air, no noise pollution and many more.....
Ohh please don't give me this crap, people would actually think about clean roads before moving to abroad. While moving to abroad, the only factor that comes to their mind is money
This is based on the assumption that students go abroad for better education. But I would argue that main driver to study abroad is to settle abroad which includes salaries, facilities, better infrastructure and in general dollar dream. This might work if the proposed Indian universities can provide placement in companies abroad 😊
To escape the reservation in india moving abroad and keeping money in other currency than INR is necessary. So currently for the general category, having to study in India is the worst thing possible. As soon as you convert the currency back to INR, that money is going to be stuck since the inefficient reserved officials in the government are so slow and sometimes corrupt that it is difficult to even operate properly

Yep.. I am also very interested to know what are the alternatives for reservation. Help poor people. But reservation should be gone completely. Merit through hardwork and skill is the only way for better humanity
It is a double edge sword though it is helping lower caste people on the same time it is also limiting the access of general people to education or government based jobs especially those general in lower class or middle class income. Though it should not removed but there should be limitation for it
Your research missed one key point, they are not going because of quality education. They want to move out of India and they are using education as a reason
i think you too are missing a huge point. main reason for leaving abroad is money. yes some do for better living standards but if just today US pays less, not a single would go there. main reason is money not coz they wanna move out but instead earn more.
But think about Indian college and university, In India even IITs are more bent towards placement not doing research work . Mit is famous because they invest max in research work so this is the main reason that's why I am also heading for USA

I personally moved to Canada just 11 days ago . And let me tell you that the going abroad hype will soon hit its peak as getting work is hard, expense of living is through the roof and getting permits (PR in CA, H1B in USA, etc.) is getting tough by the day if already not. The four major countries are saturating and now people are looking to move more towards smaller European countries. Prasad, this video could've used some research from the aspect of shifting trends and interviews of ground reality as businesses are being built around it, but the platform would certainly be a lot volatile in some time as they loose their sheen.
BITS Pilani ❤❤ at 4:47 1)The point that many students also move abroad due to the quality of professors and research at Indian Universities. Even the best of IITs and BITS have a shortage of very good professors. I am saying this bcz there are many profs who don't know how to teach and manage their courses. The students have to refer some online materials to get the understanding of these courses. 2) Many of the engineering students who are unable to get a good rank in JEE also move abroad so they won't get behind the competition.

But for a medical degree scenario is not true. Most of them go to Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia for a low cost MBBS degree. In India the cost to study in private college medicine is so high. That's why doctors who come out of medical colleges mostly loose service mentality. Indians (apart from medicine degree mostly ) have more craze to get PR in foreign countries, That might be mostly true, I agree with that. Our people are attracted to skyscrapers and tall buildings.
And why shouldn’t Indians seek PR abroad. It’s not like BJP is offering any advancement in India. Being born poor is not ur fault, but choosing to stay so is
I wish we had educators like you during our school and college days. People would have come out skilled and not only run for degrees. The way you educate people with complex matters in such simple way is what we need in India. Employability will follow if people are knowledgeable enough. Keep up the awesome work consistently 🤗
Loved the video! As someone working in the study abroad industry, I can relate to its insights. My company operates in consultancy, student loans, and student accommodation-three crucial sectors. This video brilliantly captures the essence of our market.
21:01 I would love to see more such insightful videos where you actually provide us market gaps instead of just explaining the market leaders and their tricks for saving their companies. Also I would like to see a video on job opportunities that are emerging for india 2 and 3 instead of just focusing on businesses and learnings from india 1. Love the content you put out ❤.
This video is encouraging trader mindset which is already a problem with Indian thinking. We need innovation. We need entrepreneurship not trading. If you really want to build a company, you should have passion and ideas And of course important to have market for it. But this is age-old idea of trading
We’d love to see a continuous series on this topic. Here’s what I’m interested in: 1. The distribution of students across different age groups. 2. The average salary difference between a student who just graduated without any experience abroad and one who worked in their field for 1-2 years in India after pursuing a Master’s abroad. By the way, excellent video! Kudos for the fantastic presentation.
Thank you very much! Can't express how important this video is...not just for understanding the market prospects..but also the apps recommended will give a good lead
This is really a data packed video with lots of reality checks. So people thinking all the people living abroad must be having a lavish life would need to think twice before saying that. Because majority of those students are belonging to middle class families and they’re living minimally to support their family back in India. Good work Ganesh!❤
Man, your UA-cam channel is just on another level! Every single video is spot on, fact-checked, and super relevant. Seriously, each one gives me new insights and ideas. Big thanks for keeping it so informative and engaging!
I am international student and the most important thing is that not everyone is spending all those 30-40 lakh upfront. All those who first come here and earn money by different sources. On the other side i think you should have mentioned how much the student sending money back to india which has few players who managing and the amount is US $125bn all together. Also added to that housing rip offs the student by charging extra. Thats why everyone prefers to take rent home or stay with friends. I would be better if someone helps to find them whole home or apartment which lot of indian are doing and makes a business out of it. Food wise it’s impossible to get into market as big brand has such a monopoly by literally set a bottom prise and give inventives to big markets or shops.
If someone belongs to lower middle class family for He/She its next to impossible to get a edu loan . If they don't have collateral or co-signer they cant get a loan. There are options like Mpower only works for US uni , and Prodigy Finance which works in multiple countries , They give loans without Co Signer but you would still have to show remaining funds required to travel and sustain. Maybe Some one can capture this market and start something like this in India. This will definitely boom the business.
Your analysis is great on paper but you have not considered 1 factor, Emotion and ego attached with foreign university, foreign land, curiosity to explore, status among relatives, etc.
this is a really good point tbh. and i do think ego is huge thing and reason but i think if they make same amount of money here then it can be decreased overall as a point.
Bro nice video But I have some apprehensions 7:10 Median salary in US for STEM id $64k (agreed) - but in the same report you’ll realise the median for asians is $92,000 whereas Hispanic workers ($45,000). So in General Indians are earning higher (but because of averages from other sections, it might look lower) 7:28 - $100k personally for me goes a long way than ₹23 lakh in India (because I can save and send way much more money back home)
Of course PPP is important factor but that wont solve the problem a person earning 23lacks in india will still choose 100k in US or can even live with 80k. And this is more better choice for people who likes traveling abroad or consuming foreign products. As an example a person working in the US will have to spend a lesser part of his salary on flights or other tourist expenses plus if he wants to buy a Tesla or Mustang that would not be a bigger expenditure as compared to an Indian salary. Moreover, a better lifestyle and better use of taxes is an addon.

As always, you make excellent videos, research and analysis. However, I think there are some points perhaps you missed this time (please note: I'm not saying #1 and #2 are good, but this is the way it is, unfortunately for foreigners seeking employment in the US): 1. US companies extensively seek MBAs from key "Ivy League" Universities, such as MIT, Stanford, UC Berkley, Yale and Harvard. If you're not graduated from these universities, the companies will not even look at you. Your resume goes in the trash, literally. 2. Studying MBA in the US is not really about the substance, because the MBA courses are basically very similar around the world, but it is about the personal connections you make with, and the contacts you get of, various CEOs and company presidents that allow you to "climb the ladder." Its hard to do that while studying in India. 3. Immediately after completing your Masters in STEM, you are provided to work in the US for 2 years during which the company can apply for the H1B for you. This leads a path for you to get the Green Card, and consequently better/more employment opportunities. Studying in India will not provide you this.
But we have no choice Indian Study And college system is wreaked. I have 9 pointer in college and we write Millions of assignments and Teachers Literally make us feel like Animals while collecting assignments which they just throw off and check without even looking it's so bad. And other majority is focused on things which are not even job worthy like they just teach us C++ and now majority companies use python, JS, React and other stuff we have to everything by ourselves and it's not even in the curriculum. We cannot even have a life outside studying like I want to keep myself fit and have enough sleep but sadly cannot do that cause of 8 hrs college 1 hr travel 3 hrs classes 3 hrs assignments and Hw and our self Study
Hello, thank you for the efforts in finding the relevant content topics and creating a segment. What I appreciate is you asking our feedback on the new format of the videos. And I have the following thought about it: This new format of video is not helpful. I first started following the thinkschool and subscribed to it because of the quality content it presented. By quality, I am specifically talking about the quality of content and not the storytelling. Thinkschool offered anl comprehensive understanding and thorough research regarding the relevant topics that the mainstream media failed to showcase. It was exceptionally educational, on the point and more importantly, presented us with all the facts to make an informed decision. However, since the past two videos (this current one and the BJP manifesto) it has severely degraded in quality. To highlight an example, the thinkschool videos were the equivalent of the ACN News show from the series "The Newsroom". No flair, no bias, only the utter facts in a manner which are easy to understand. The actual topic was comprehended easily. Because of this reason, thinkschool's subscriber base increased. However, in recent videos, you are deviating from your principles- or the idea from which it originated. It is sad. The work you are doing is wonderful, and it will help a lot more people if you stay faithful to the original idea. However, In recent videos, the only focus has been given largely to business. The title and the thumbnail are highly misleading as compared to the video contents. It has been repeatedly observed in your recent thumbnails. Kindly do not deviate from the faith, the idea on which it all Started. Your subscribers are intelligent, faithful and are here because you are offering something valuable. Currently, it seems like you are trying to ride many horses and atleast for me it is a downgrade in the quality. There is no fixed schedule, no proper differentiation of the contents- everything is uploaded from the same channel. Please stop! Your video about the EU energy bonus, about the farm laws, about the election subsidy was important and allowed an unbiased story. However, when compared with your recent video of BJP manifesto, it is a drastic downgrade. Your downgrade in quality is observed in your own statement in which you say that If time permits, you might make video on Congress manifesto. I am sure you appreciate the important position of responsibility that you hold. In this current elections, it is extremely important for the voters to be aware about the all sides of a story. And in such an environment - stating that you might do it if time permits - evidently highlights the need for you to recognise your "moat". Please correct the ship while time permits. I sincerely do not wish to see the thinkschool turn into another "quora" platform. I love your work and would like to see you continue doing the noble work of information. All the very best to all of us. Hopefully, we see you back soon.
Hi Ganesh prasad , I want to correct a single point that most of abroad studying students are not from india 1 but india 2 and middle class only. As i am from ANDHRA PRADESH from where abroad studying students are the most in india. Majority of that students are taking educational loans and fake Bank balance only. The reason for taking that much risk is Better opportunities , money and more importantly it is a social status especially in telugu stes of ANDHRA and TELANGANA. 4:35
Why the fees in India is not as compared to PPP with other countries. I say people to go explore how the world looks like and being a student is the best way for it. But dont take huge loans for it. Either go through scholarships or explore Europe its very cheaper compared to India also but you have to work part time in order to cover up your expenses. So if you are open minded want to explore something new early in life take a chance and go. Even if you like country stay there or come back that is your decision but dont spend your family hard earned money in this instead earn yours
Hey Ganesh, I really liked this video because of 2 reasons - 1. Every piece of information was well organised and well presented. 2. This topic, "Business Opportunity" or "Gaps in Market" is very enticing to people who are ready to enter the start-up ecosystem but are clueless about what to do. I found it very useful and informative. Although a minor request from my side would be - It would be too much to ask but please make a video on the mental health industry and specifically cover the role of psychologists. It's a personal request!
There are many students who also go for studying in countries like Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. and I think it would also be beneficial for the consumers as well as prospective entrepreneurs to know that along with the things you mentioned, there is also a big gap in the linguistics/language assistance in these places. I am myself an Indian student studying in Japan and I feel this should also be addressed. Thanks a lot for this informative video!
You really create GREAT case studies and Market Research, I want a Blog, Course, YT video anything On how to DO Market Research, or Case studies like you
And what if I don't even have 10.5 lacs? Being a general category it's a huge task to get into IIMs/IITs. Not to mention, they also charge hefty fees. What to do then ? Kindly respond Think School
Great video. The numbers shown are even higher in the actual world. I mean at least for USA. Sending TOEFL scores to Universities cost around 2500 not 250, so maybe u can correct that. I believe financing the biggest opportunity in this market. Bigger than anything u mentioned in the video. And there is a very cultural reason to it. That is Indian community highly values education and can pay any amount to get that right. With that, if a company can tell Indian parents in the lower income group that they don't need to worry about expenses, I am sure people would be willing to pay. Also, the recovery rate of education loan is 100%, so where companies are playing at 11% ROI, they can be disrupted with 7% ROI
Think School is professional and well educated in the field of economics unlike that political agenda peddler so better not compare amazing channels like think school with youtubers like Dhruv.
You'll get the likes you're wanting. But try to see the unseen. You'll see that his points are not wrong. Correct his points instead of insulting the person. That's a fallacy called Ad Hominem. I'm extremely happy seeing my country grow leaps and bounds under bjp. But we can't ignore the crucial steps being taken by a party trying to win an election
The facts presented at 7:05 are somewhat incorrect. As someone who has lived in India and US, I can confidently say that the Purchase Power Parity (PPP) comparison done here is for the same class of goods, but not for the same quality of goods. For example when buying a car, on absolute scale you'd be able to spend more in US. Since the cars are cheaper in US, luxury cars become more affordable. When @ThinkSchool factors in PPP, they are comparing the cost of owning a car in both the countries, but NOT the quality of car you end up buying. If you compare products of same quality, then by PPP India turns out to be more expensive for a lot of other goods and services.
Very indepth analysis. I'm not a business person just interesting for me because I came to US to study in 2014 and I think this study is so impressively well done.
Your Research skills are drop dead remarkable. Could you please make step by step "Research guide" that shows how you research for an in-depth video and how you cut and slice through all that data? Love the content you put out ❤
Hey there! I've been following the content closely, and while I appreciate the focus on established entities in India, I feel like there's a gap for aspiring individuals, especially students. Many of us tuning in are eager to kickstart our own ventures or initiatives, so it would be awesome if the channel could open up to applications from such folks and provide guidance on how to get started. Regarding the recent video about potentially leaving India, I totally get the need for a hook, but I couldn't help but feel that it didn't quite cater to the student audience as much as usual. It'd be great to see more content that directly adds value to students' lives, maybe by diving into topics like the ones mentioned below: 1. How many of the 1.3 million students studying abroad rely on loans to fund their entire journey? 2. On average, how long does it take for graduates to pay off their student loans? 3. What proportion of the 1.3 million Indian students abroad come from middle-class backgrounds? These questions could spark some interesting discussions in the comments section and provide valuable insights for students navigating their academic and financial journeys. Looking forward to more engaging content!
Ok there is a flaw in your research, while you are saying 100000 US dollars equivalent to 23 lacs, you missed the point that staying in US you can actually save a lot of money when converted into INR whereas 23 lacs is not just enough to save money and live in the metro city at the same time. So this PPP concept is just a way to comfort Indian students that don’t worry you are not missing much staying in India
Definitely another good video. I would suggest one more reason for the students to go abroad for education is to move to that country and ofcourse, expectations is the course will help them to get a job. So, the big picture is to move abroad and settle down. Education is a stepping stone.

It's not that he didn't get, if you follow him you would know he was never interested. On top of that he already was running a successful communication masterclass and had already started his UA-cam journey.
@poojakanchan I totally understand he is famous youtuber. Reality is, youtubers are hellucinated influencers with their very limited & biased perspective & their tendency to measure everything from objective sense, which is too dangerous for anyone who is new who wants to pursue international study & might get demotivated because of it. Forget about money, salary, growth perspective, multicultural experience, ease of living, the biggest advantage of internal study is exposure. You can always work in india since you are indian citizen for lifelong. But gaining a international is equally important in your working age to broaden the perspective & save yourself from myopic view. Few UA-camrs which are basically unemployed people from their past right after their college who couldn't & didn't choose the career which doesn't suit them, started to spread negative views about it, & hence it's important to deinfluence such people by someone who actually gone through it.

great idea!
Great idea 💡
It is a double edge sword though it is helping lower caste people on the same time it is also limiting the access of general people to education or government based jobs especially those general in lower class or middle class income. Though it should not removed but there should be limitation for it
Your research missed one key point, they are not going because of quality education. They want to move out of India and they are using education as a reason
Perfectly said !!
i think you too are missing a huge point. main reason for leaving abroad is money. yes some do for better living standards but if just today US pays less, not a single would go there. main reason is money not coz they wanna move out but instead earn more.

Exactly
BITS Pilani ❤❤ at 4:47
1)The point that many students also move abroad due to the quality of professors and research at Indian Universities. Even the best of IITs and BITS have a shortage of very good professors. I am saying this bcz there are many profs who don't know how to teach and manage their courses. The students have to refer some online materials to get the understanding of these courses.
2) Many of the engineering students who are unable to get a good rank in JEE also move abroad so they won't get behind the competition.

wow! The presentation is crystal clear and in short you provided Business opportunities out of your research. Amazing
We don't go abroad for studies... We go there to get PR 😂
Being born poor is not ur fault, but choosing to stay so is
Agree! I need pR 😂
whats a pr ?
And this is the heated issue now in Canada, particularly among Punjabis.
I wish we had educators like you during our school and college days. People would have come out skilled and not only run for degrees. The way you educate people with complex matters in such simple way is what we need in India. Employability will follow if people are knowledgeable enough. Keep up the awesome work consistently 🤗
Strongly agree with this.
The way of breaking down and getting one by one was amazing ! Loved it ❤
Loved the video!

Great job with amazing information. I might have spent days collecting all the information. Thanks for making this video.
Here’s what I’m interested in:
People go outside India to study, not to gain knowledge, but to have a better opportunity to emigrate abd settle there.
Good effects brother ❤🎉
Man, your UA-cam channel is just on another level! Every single video is spot on, fact-checked, and super relevant. Seriously, each one gives me new insights and ideas. Big thanks for keeping it so informative and engaging!
This type of approach of explaining the entire research concept is what makes it perfect! 👌
Bro nice video
But I have some apprehensions
7:10 Median salary in US for STEM id $64k (agreed) - but in the same report you’ll realise the median for asians is $92,000 whereas Hispanic workers ($45,000). So in General Indians are earning higher (but because of averages from other sections, it might look lower)
7:28 - $100k personally for me goes a long way than ₹23 lakh in India (because I can save and send way much more money back home)
Thats true bro. But in India you will have no loan and no pressure of Lottery visa
People's are okay with it only need good amount of their work not like cheap labour extortion by employers@@ThinkSchool
@@ThinkSchool 200% correct
Of course PPP is important factor but that wont solve the problem a person earning 23lacks in india will still choose 100k in US or can even live with 80k. And this is more better choice for people who likes traveling abroad or consuming foreign products. As an example a person working in the US will have to spend a lesser part of his salary on flights or other tourist expenses plus if he wants to buy a Tesla or Mustang that would not be a bigger expenditure as compared to an Indian salary. Moreover, a better lifestyle and better use of taxes is an addon.
Wrong, inflation has through the roof in America and Canada. The living expenses like rent and grocery are so high now that an average American is hardly going on vacation. They live pay check to paycheck with huge debt. You are highly misinformed
@@thesam27hosh you are the one who is misinformed. i have cousins living in the US studying phd, and with a part time job, they are able to afford cars within 2-3 months, can buy luxury products worth INR 50k+ at cheap prices of 10k INR... and vacations? they are all on trips across us and schengen areas every semester holiday.. so yeah, dont believe shitty youtubers and media
There’s a lack of such precise information about many such industries and ideas and you are doing a great job! Please make more such videos
I think you missed about so many Indian students desperation on medical school or mbbs abroad. Lakhs of students study MBBS in countries with lower cost of living like Philippines, Georgia, Kryzisthan, Germany and many other countries
This video is a MASTERPIECE

You are Taking such a initiative for Indian talent's to stay here 🫡🫡 Respect bro .... Keep on going this has to reach all the Indians parents and students who are willing migrating abroad countries
As always, you make excellent videos, research and analysis. However, I think there are some points perhaps you missed this time (please note: I'm not saying #1 and #2 are good, but this is the way it is, unfortunately for foreigners seeking employment in the US):

And I have the following thought about it:
This new format of video is not helpful.
Wow! This should be trending as #1 on UA-cam. Kudos to the efforts you put into creating this magnificent video!
Hey Ganesh, Your work is admirable.
Requesting you to publish a report on Drone Market in India.
The quality of videos are great. Thank you for this one!
Hey Ganesh,
I really liked this video because of 2 reasons -
Yes
There are many students who also go for studying in countries like Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. and I think it would also be beneficial for the consumers as well as prospective entrepreneurs to know that along with the things you mentioned, there is also a big gap in the linguistics/language assistance in these places. I am myself an Indian student studying in Japan and I feel this should also be addressed.
Thanks a lot for this informative video!

They are going for USA not for education but for settling there.
You can't settle in the US without an H1B visa and Green card. The wait time for Indians is 100yrs for Gac
Love the content you put out ❤
This content is really helpful and motivating. Thanks a lot
And theres this thing called " Standard of Living"
It'd be great to see more content that directly adds value to students' lives, maybe by diving into topics like the ones mentioned below:
I work in this industry. The industry is garbage.
Elaborate please.
Why

You have been out of Pune & didn't even secure a job after your college & you are talking about study abroad!!! Lol!! That's a drawback of UA-cam. People tend to think they are expert on each topic.
