Marketing? All the examples that Ganesh has given in this video, almost all of them had an organic appeal. None, i repeat none of them were forcibly shoving their thing down everyone's throat. The royal family doesn't have to spend much in attracting people to their events. BTS, squid games or parasite did some marketing, yes. But they didn't have to hijack all of the social media to get people talking about it. They didn't even have that much money. And seriously nobody is getting impressed. Even foreigners are either getting irritated. This is not at all helping anyone! Even the ambanis.
I was literally looking for a video that spoke about the deeper impact of the Ambani wedding, almost every foreign channel is showing it in a negative way along with videos of slums in a split frame slamming and shamming the wedding and it was extremely disheartening to see them play the same 3 videos of 3 Indians talking negatively of its extravagance. Look at the sheer craft displayed at the wedding, how often do we see holograms and this scale of intricate sets and so well thought out in a wedding decor, a bride donning an entirely painted and embellished lehenga by an indian woman artist in collaboration with a luxury indian designer. It is expected out of foreign countries to throw negativity but seeing Indians be embarrassed and annoyed was extremely disheartening. I was extremely happy and proud seeing bold indian colours, embroideries, food, jewellery, architecture and textures being used and so beautifully. It has set new boundaries and trends for indian weddings which is a huge industry and this should be celebrated.
As a school teacher myself, I'll talk a bit about marketing of government schemes in edu sector. India is so focused on marketing and advertising these days that there are unnecessary and unproductive activities in schools every freaking week, sometimes almost everyday, for which we have to document reports and upload or send to higher ups. I myself can barely conduct 12 classes a week on average out of my allotted 20 classes. I have been a practical and activity oriented teacher even before all this, but it's getting too much. I can even see a drop in performance and general intelligence of students. Not saying marketing shouldn't be done but it gets too much too often. What is the use of marketing ( sometimes a good word for faking or scamming) if there's no useful substance or it doesn't help the very innate purpose or quality? I think this applies to a lot of other sectors too.
Let's discuss.. Would you prefer India marketing itself or someone outside marketing their experiences in India... For every ambani wedding experience, dey can find 100s of hungry and poor experiences. I'm not being socialist here... Just be human... @@6santosh6 Our culture doesn't do any simplicity poverty porn. That's the fake mindset Gandhi filled in all your minds. Hindu culture thrives on Dharma Artha Kaama Moksha. @Dyingsoul59 I don't think those are major issues, infrastructure is improving drastically and so is poverty. But culture and mindset should change...culture not as heritage....that is among the best in world but the culture of short term thinking like fooling tourists, scams etc
@bajajsarvesh I agree with you, but the way I see it people do scams and fool tourists and all other bad practices because they are poor and they need money, they may not find the right opportunity to earn money and have low moral values or live in harsh conditions and find such unethical ways to get money by doing criminal activities. The country's infrastructure is improving but it's a long way to go, I still see potholes and stray cattle on the road. People are not educated enough, no one cares about rules, they lack resources, and most Indians struggle to earn enough to meet basic needs do why these people care about such things as social responsibility, civic sense, or as you mentioned personal space, etc? India needs to understand that india needs to be marketed - RESPECT THE STATEMENT
India needs to understand that India needs to be marketed in terms of science and technology and not shaadi and baarat.
What's the point of doing annadaan, vantatram crap if u burn crores for a marriage worth several thousands?

The country's infrastructure is improving but it's a long way to go, I still see potholes and stray cattle on the road. People are not educated enough, no one cares about rules, they lack resources, and most Indians struggle to earn enough to meet basic needs do why these people care about such things as social responsibility, civic sense, or as you mentioned personal space, etc? and what the hell is the problem with inheritant business and what is so good abt self made ones. depends on the success
This video is a real eye opener...India needs to showcase its rich cultural heritage to the world to secure its position as a leading nation alongside allowing influx of currency that caters its economic growth.
Lol the reality of India is unhyginic food and lack of civic sense. When tourist come to India they won't land on Ambani's house, they will take a 3rd class Indian train with gutka marks all around.
This wedding created meltdown in western media.
dude u are unique! whole India is criticizing the Ambani s … u are actually talking about the benefits. You have completely changed my perspective! Keep going! kudos to u and your team!
he got payed for this
That's called brainwashing I hope you know
I thing most of people's are not happy because ambani increased the price of jio and people's thought that the marriage money of wedding is recovering from that 😢😢
Yet people forget the Ambanis made Internet cheap in India. Try recalling data plans before Jio.
Bro, you don't know how cheap data is in India after the Jio revolution compared to rest of the world. I live in Dubai and have to spend 150 dirhams (₹3,400) for 17 GB data per month.
@@BuluBiker I am fed up with poor quality jio , I use BSNL broadband 😢😢much faster than jio.
@@Kattar_maratha96kdstill thanks to jio...and pls learn some economy
@@Kakashihatake-uo6ou why I need to learn economics? I just need good internet speed and I am getting it with bsnl broadband with shared data, I had to stop using jio for pocket data as well because of poor internet speed.
Spending 5000 crores, means government get around 900 crores as based on 18% GST..
Ghanta .. Amabanis don't pay GST to anyone
RTI kar ke dekh looo
This is your mind bro 🗿@@TheLionKing2345
@@TheLionKing2345 how do you know that Ambani's are exempted from GST.
Ambani uske ghar aaya tha btane@@itcell5628
What a sweet way to assert consumerism et all for the few rich in India !! Man! talk of job opportunities and inflation of essential commodities for The Ordinary in India plsss !!
Why waste time talking, go out and do something to fix it.
Ambanis are doing something about improving the economy. Taking does not help
Jealousy is injuries to health.
You are a brilliant presenter. Your facts are well put together.
What's captivates most is the concluding part. Keep up the good job! 👍
Haters see the wedding as waste of money, others see it as something to cherish about but leaders see it as an inspiration to be successful and become capable of something like this.
Good luck becoming successful in India with the taxes and crony capitalism
Ghanta. No leaders sees this and goes, wow I need such an wedding.
Totally agree...even after the explaination.....some people are just ( sadist and poor )..🙂.... knowledge has been chasing them but they are way too fast.
When a single wealthy person utilise 100 rs. in public events it will be income for at least 20 people
Becoming some thing like this??? You want to use money for marriage to show your prowess??
I would invest those in building good health infrastructure and would not brag about it
Who are here after Influencer Kavya Karnatac post ? Now i understand why Think school made this video.
Yep yep me...paisa hai to badi badi badi badi baten XD
Well explained! keep up the great work Ganesh!
