Katz has a cool villain dynamic, he's cunning, sleek, stealthy and can put down anyone who he can capture within his schemes, but he's incredibly weak to direct damage, suffering heavy injury from just one strong blow.
3:50 this song was something as simple as a drum beat and a violin playing 2 pitched notes to the beat. But it was SO iconic to me of how intense it was.
. . . Why does he have to sound that dog damn sexy? Like seriously, that voice and that God damn smile and classic feline teasing behavior just sells his character so freaking good. It's velvet and silk had a baby that cuts like a knife.
I love this show so much, it’s so special to me. It introduces kids to the idea that animation and horror is an art form. Its so raw and treats its viewers with sincerity, not dumbing down the dialogue, character complexities and interactions, and watering down the spook factor of it all. The Mask episode is one of the craziest things I’ve seen on television, not just kids animation. It’s so impressive
The show is so striking in its visuals too. Nothing over-elaborate, but the background scenery is almost always done in a dramatically different art style than the characters. The animators were so incredibly effective at creating unease just through those artistic choices. Surrealism at its finest.
I knew Katz was a great villain, but rewatching this clip made me realize just how scary he was, and it totally flew by my mind as a kid. When he comes out of the shadows saying "there's no place to run, and no place to hide" definitely hits you hard.

This show gave me so many nightmares and was a teen when this show came out and it still freaked me out. But I could not stop watching it. It was just to good.
I remember as a kid, I was trully scared about Katz. Then, have that episode in the beach where he meets Courage owners. In that episode, Katz make a kind keys noise that he's carring, y'know? Then, one night where I was sleeping with my parents in a bedroom in my grandma's house, I remember waking up in the middle of the night, and just hearing that keys sound, just like the episode. I don't know if was just my kid's mind imagining this after a dream, and because Katz used to really scary me. But I remember that memory.
Of all the villains, Katz was the most terrifying. Sure some of the others had a scarier look to them but Katz had a away of psychologically instilling fear into Courage and the audience hoping our bot makes it through. Any episode he was involved in was guaranteed to give Courage a hell of a ride to overcome. Katz was the best villain but Courage never fails 💯

When courage threw Eustace onto Katz, I laughed when he started flailing around and when he said "I wish you hadn't done that", I legitimately thought "Oh damn, is....is he about to mess courage up" I straight up thought Katz was gonna throw Eustace offa him and start beating up Courage, lmao

As a kid i tought that Eustace was old and cranky but as an adult i see that he suffers from depression that led to anger issues, and often lack of emotions he was verbally abused by his mom and his older Brother i dont know how his father treated him.
He definitely treated his wife like shit tho
As bad as I feel for Eustace, he has no right to treat Courage like crap or call him a stupid dog since Courage is way smarter than Eustace gives him credit for.
@@member-berry-bonbons1124yeah
@issamarmaldonado3055 but I think he stays because while she takes a lot from him, she can and does give him shit back and doesn't abandon him just because he's difficult. He will never admit it, but i think he loves her for that, that she accepted even a no good man like him.
I never realized until I was an adult how evil Katz was. He's like one of Courage most evil characters.
Not one of, he is the most evil because he's a murderer.
Well duh
He's fucking terrifying
for some reason when i was a kid i thought Katz was a cameo character from a show i’ve never seen
I don't blame you, he kind of has a different look than most characters in the show
He kind of reminds ne of slade from teen titans
I can't fathom how literally every single character in this show is inhumanely eccentric.
Katz had one of the most sinister themes I've ever heard, and he's just as sinister.
So, Katz is an actual murderer. He just kills people.
He can't get in trouble
He's a cat
@@AntonioMartinez-gv4ng, oh, so DUCKS can be arrested and thrown in prison, but cats-
@@Anthintendo No... cause Katz would kill anyone that tried and still not lose a single one of his 9 lives, plus he's to smart to get caught by cops anyway
@@AntonioMartinez-gv4ng, it was a joke, because Le Quak is a duck, and he gets arrested for his crimes.
@@Anthintendo Ik lol
I swear Katz intro has such drip and his background music hits.
I had forgotten about the submarine episode, seeing a part of it again gave me so much nostalgia
This is both such a horrifying and delightful show to watch
Was I the only one thinking Katz was a half cat and half fox? No? Then I’m the only one thinking about it
If it makes you feel better, I kinda thought the same because I used to believe he and Cajun Fox were related based on their appearance
@@thestrangeandstupidone8116 WHOOA DAAAR!
I think I confused that one fox character for him once.
Probably because the fox villain had the same design
I literally thought the same thing for years. It inspired my OC design and Alias.
that beat when he comes out the shadows 0:39 heat
“A little sport before *DYING* dear boy?”
4:00 I would love a 10 hour version of this!!
here's a 1 hour version, I hope it close enough! ua-cam.com/video/QaFsj1BEGC8/v-deo.html (I actually attempted to do 10 hours but my computer almost crashed after trying to render the 3rd hour so I'm sorry it's not 10!)

@@thestrangeandstupidone8116 you have my respect for trying.
Ngl. Katz was one of the most terrifying characters on this show when I was a kid.
Katz is the kind of villain who would probably serve great as leader of something much deeper
i wish Katz was in the show more he was basically the anti-Courage and by far the most memorable antagonist of the entire series
but i could say the same for so many characters from this series it was such a good series
Night at Katz's motel is such a banger episode
Katz has a cool villain dynamic, he's cunning, sleek, stealthy and can put down anyone who he can capture within his schemes, but he's incredibly weak to direct damage, suffering heavy injury from just one strong blow.
Definitely the definition of a deadly glass cannon. He is quite a double edge sword
Maybe that's part of the reason he keeps tiring Courage out first with his games.
Katz Will always be One of courage's most feared enemies.
This man’s up there for me as one of the coolest cartoon villains
5:04 that scared me a lot as a kid
5:08 that must have hurt and felt good at the same time
Same! That huge orange eyes! 😨
love Katz' theme song whenever he's on screen
I care about Katz way too much he lives in my brain rent free 💅
3:50 this song was something as simple as a drum beat and a violin playing 2 pitched notes to the beat. But it was SO iconic to me of how intense it was.
A little sport before dying, dear boy?
A little spot of sport
The scariest villains are the ones with the most calm sounding demeanors/voices masking their true twisted self.
. . .
Why does he have to sound that dog damn sexy?
Like seriously, that voice and that God damn smile and classic feline teasing behavior just sells his character so freaking good.
It's velvet and silk had a baby that cuts like a knife.
You just summed up my new found attraction towards Katz
I'm pretty sure Katz is British....
dot dot dot
Bruh, you a furry?
It's the same problem I have with the computer, they didn't have to make his voice *_That Sexy_* but they did. They knew what they were doing.
Dogs and cats. Natural enemies.
I knew Katz was a great villain, but rewatching this clip made me realize just how scary he was, and it totally flew by my mind as a kid. When he comes out of the shadows saying "there's no place to run, and no place to hide" definitely hits you hard.
Yeah and the fact that he scared my father's 3 cousins: Jair who was a cop for over 40 years, Hernando & Mirabel who were in the army for over 40 years, and my best friend's grandfather who fought in the Vietnam War(and they had torturous booby traps for the US soldiers) speaks volumes about how terrifying he is.
All I can think of is "YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE. NOT FROM ME!"
I'm sorry but how the hell is Katz not even wincing in pain from the neck cracks? Seriously? That does not sound healthy.
He’s like that
Nah if u ever had a good neck crack it’s like takin your first hit of heroin
As someone who pops his bones whether it’s my neck or my knuckles, that shit feels good.
Yeah Katz is a God. Gods don't feel pain.
He's a cat obviously that's why
Katz is worth of being a Top Tier Villian in my book. He gave me chills when i was young....
The perfect representation of how playful cats are when hunting their prey.
All of Katz's music was so good. His theme, the tennis match
I will always jam to Katz's theme song.
Also that one episode where all his villains teamed up on him was so sad, felt so bad for Courage
4:00 footage of me and my friend going down to my minecraft mining cave
Katz is my favorite villain in this show.
When courage threw Eustace onto Katz, I laughed when he started flailing around and when he said "I wish you hadn't done that", I legitimately thought "Oh damn, is....is he about to mess courage up"
I straight up thought Katz was gonna throw Eustace offa him and start beating up Courage, lmao
I think Katz is one of my favourite villains in Courage the Cowardly Dog of all times.
Katz is scary and badass!! Part of the reason Im not really into cats.
You grow up to understand that Katz is the kind of villian who enjoys killing... as a hobby... pure evil.
I remember old times
I like how Courage didn't know what to do, so he just threw Eustace at him
When i was a kid, i thought he is fox
You'd think he & the actual fox guy would actually be related somehow.
That's why his name is Katz...
That rhythm that plays when he shows up somehow makes me feel restless
Even when scared, Courage pulled off that dummy disguise
He awakened something in me as a kid not gonna lie.
👀
Same with me. That thing is called fear.
If you're curious of the sport Courage and Katz played in the first clip, They were playing a game called Squash.
I remember vibing to Katz’s theme as a kid. It definitely suits his character.
I like how Katz can take games like handball, dodgeball, and starting contests feel so intense. Like it's a game of life and death
Reminds me of a female Angelik H, single Greek mother 😉😉 😂😂
I've always loved how dangerous Katz is. Everytime he appears you feel like this time Courage might actually lose.
"A little sport before dying my boy?" Daaaaaaaang kids shows be wildin' back then he's radiating that sigma male mindset
At the end of the day, courage always finds a way to win
Happy Mask Salesman: "You shouldn't have done that!" >: (
Katz: "I wish you hadn't done that."
Uhh
Was anyone else imagining the hand ball actually being a spider and skittering away.
The first episode of this series is literally introducing the most iconic villain in the whole show!
Return the slab but this one scares me more than king ramsaeys the 1st episode with the spiders crazy
Katz was the scariest villain in the whole series. The most sadistic and someone who actually killed and enjoyed doing so. The mermaid/siren too.
@@stephj505I would doubt this, but it would make sense, since Katz was the only realistic villain. People like these exist and maybe your cousins knew/saw people like these in their lives.
@@THETRIVIALTHINGS They actually knew quite a few criminals similar to Katz but his methods of killing people(feeding them to his pet spiders, turning them to objects, blowing them up in a submarine, etc.) are what gave them nightmares.
I loved this character as a kid and still do now. The spider episode was the only few episodes I refused to watch because of my fear of spiders but loved any other episode that he was in.
“Shall we spot a sport before you go?”
Gives me chills
katz personality reminds me of lord-beerus from DBS
Courage the cowardly dog is like a fever dream
I like how Katz twitched his legs like a spider being crushed XD very nice attention to detail, since he was feeding his guests to his pet spiders. I think they drew inspiration for that episode from an episode of "Monsters" where a married couple get trapped in a hotel with a giant spider!
+Joshua Trujillo Did they get away?
@@PintheDog the wife did, but the husband died ):
This show beat the shit out of courage, but y'know why that was awesome? Because he never gave up, not once. He takes the punishment and keeps going.
The cowardly guts of his time😅
Wow it’s been years since I’ve heard that creepy theme, looove this show ♥️♥️
