I thought it was the only way since you learn it a few seconds earlier. I'm surprised by the choices the game gives you. There is generally not only one ending even in "useless" quest like the one where you can save a portrait but in the end i burned him. I thought it was just a way for me to scare him and have a bonus to save him.
Yeah, it's like you could see that he didn't really see anything wrong with what he did. He feels justified in everything he does and feels like these kinda curses should be used as one sees fit. It seems to me that his moral compass is broken, and I don't even mean the fact that he went this far, but that he never seemed to be affected by the kinda shit he did. And remember, he said multiple times that one must mean an unforgivable curse in order for it to work properly. He wanted to kill in that catacomb. He was my favorite side character early on but as his quests progressed, I started siding with Ominis pretty much since the crucio "trial", and everything after retreiving the relic was a big no no for me. I also refused to cover for him at the end, as I am sure he'd continue spiraling down the dark path, maybe a few years later, because of the borken moral compass.
@@Kasiarzynka I don't know, I think he genuinly felt terrible after he went too far. Yes, he made the choice and he had to mean it at the moment, but he wasn't trying to justify it afterwards. I talked Ominis down from turning him in and I stayed his friend, because if suddenly everyone turned away from him (even with good reason), I'm sure THAT would send him spiraling even faster down. I'm hoping by being there, my character can help him from the dark path.
@@koffeeyka5089 that was my reasoning as well. To me the situation felt similar to when Jaina and Uther left Arthas, and we all know how it turned out.
If I'm remembering correctly, you all were trapped in a room with the conditions of casting crucio or die. Sebastian also gave you the choice of either casting crucio on himself or on you. He was being a true friend.
Can't say who is the bigger sociopath / psychopath in this questline - Solomon - for losing control and lashing out in an uncontrollable destructive rage on his nephew Sebastian - for seeking out forbidden relics, constantly breaking rules, not understanding the consequences of his actions and believing that sweet talk & denial will let him get away with anything The MC - for enabling Sebastian's recklessness, shutting down Ominis and Anne when they are clearly the sane ones here and clearly see the futility of Sebastian's quest - all so that they can learn torture, brainwash and murder spells I would pick Natty / Poppy over Sebastian any day.
I also hate that we help Sebastian down this path but our character is still considered a "good guy". Even if we learn and use the curses. This game is pretty amazing, but I feel like they just didn't spend enough time on the depth of certain bits.
Solomon isn’t a bad guy. An asshole, yes, but not a bad person. He destroyed the relic because he knows, as an auror, the price dark magic can demand. It required a “sacrifice” to save Anne. And honestly? I think Anne would prefer to die than see her brother descend into madness and murderous intent. Solomon takes no pleasure in it, but he knows there’s nothing to be done without paying a horrible price. He’s a dick, but far from a sociopath.
I had Sebastian use Crucio on me, I talked my way around Ominous and did not betray/turn in Sebastian. I don’t care what any of you say 90% of you would’ve done the same things as Sebastian in real life if it had been family.
@@bobbybrown1258 If that had been an impulse, the spell wouldn't have worked. All the Unforgivable Curses require a strong force of will and a clear intent. The caster must mean them.
If someone meaning Anne doesn't want me meaning Sebastian to do something, then I meaning Sebastian should honor it. Especially if the people against my actions includes people who have tangled with the dark arts. If your word shifts depending on who is involved then you aren't a person with high integrity. Very often the response gained from emotion is not the correct choice. Sebastian was purely focused on the end, rather than the means he was taking to get there. "Good" intentions can cause damage as well.

Response: Actually, considering that she is still alive, no she hasn't. If she lost the will to live she would committed suicide. Statement: Her Uncle is pushing hope away from her. Response: The primary reasons why I despise humans is their refusal to accept the truth no matter. Solomon used every resource that he had to get a cure and nothing worked. Could a cure pop up, of course. But regardless, giving someone false hope and lying to them is cruel. Yet, you somehow convinced yourself ignorantly that she has lost the will to live and that her Uncle doesn't want her to recover. Statement: Almost everything Sebastian did was okay Response: Manipulating, guilt tripping, and lying to your best friend and others to get what you want was the majority of what he was doing. Then you bring up, that the main character has killed people. The main character if memory serves right only kills people canonically out of requirement to survive. Sebastian kills Solomon because Sebastian is not getting his way. When people defend Sebastian, they often use emotionally charged responses and downplay his actions taken in favor of his end goal. Sebastian clearly is crossing lines and Solomon doesn't liking that. Adding the possibility that his methods could easily be harmful to Anne. I watched a anime where this guy went insane trying to save his wife, killed multiple cats, and then killed his wife after the information given for a cure of her condition was unknowingly to the man was meant to kill her faster. So, he ended up speeding up her demise. There is even a in universe example of how dangerous magic can be. Luna Lovegood's mother Pandora Lovegood was killed by one of her failed experiments and it was messy.
This is honestly the most sociopathic and sadistic thing you can do in game ( besides attacking animals then capturing and selling them) You clearly dont need to cast imperio, Ominous is just trying to be a good friend, and then even sebastian is having second thoughts. I laughed the whole time I watched this just because you gain absolutely nothing from this except seeing a sociopathic ending to the quest. I wish they had more options where maybe you have to do something evil to acquire an artifact that makes you more powerful. Like having to kill someone close to acquire the elder wand. Then its evil with a motivation ( ends justify the means, or the greater good) instead of just being a dick to people. Make an evil playthrough interesting.
I wasn’t even aware using the imperius curse on him was an option, damn. Not that it matters unfortunately, the fact that he’s so “I can’t let you leave with the relic” and then even without the curse he gives in is ridiculous. It’s so frustrating how nothing you do in this game matters.
I remember I waited like 30 minutes for my choice, Eventually saying Sebastian is right, Then when he said what are you suggesting, Impero? I also thought for another 30 minutes.. And then said Nevermind!
Shit I didn't know you could even cast imperio on him. I just picked the top option and got the usual RPG negotiation. Ominis: My mind is made up, I will NOT let you take that relic! Player: But Ominis, we have to. Ominis: You're right. Take it.
I didn’t even know about Imperio being cast on Ominis until the other day because I had chose the other option. I think I still would have picked the other option. I’d feel bad casting Imperio on Ominis.
I wasn't paying attention to the sounds we were hearing the first time, then the second time I heard hissing, he was using parseltoungue the slippery basterd and I love it
I don't get it, what's the point of using imperio if he's agreeing to being cursed? Might as well just do it out of his own free will instead of being magically mind controlled. Seems like a waste of a curse
I feel like ominis will never let you take the relic, but he doesnt want to end his friendship with sebastian By casting imperio, he gives his responsibility to you, he cant fight either way, but he will feel responsible had you not cast imperio on him I think this is also why sebastian is also a bit hesitant becauss he knew the impact of the spell is much more dangerous than just taking responsibility from him, as we later see he actually use imperio in a much bloodier way.
On my first playthrough I felt like I was gaslighting both of them because I wanted them both to be right cuz I love them both. But one clear choice has to be made and eventually I didn't send Sebastian to Azkaban, I was in Hufflepuff on my first playthrough and Azkaban was terrible. I couldn't send anyone there. I let Sebastian leave with the Relic and then had to persuade Ominis that after this would be the end, and look where that led. He killed his uncle. I wish we could've stopped it from happening somehow.
I gotta say I'm surprise the using imperio option goes so...well. Much more consensual (though still very much under duress) than I had pictured. And glad to see Sebastian's knee jerk reaction was to get protective of Ominis. When I played it, I was so worried if I didn't reason with him, Sebastian would end up using it on him.
What?! You can use *Imperio* on Ominis, I just reasoned with him. Cant use that spell on one of the best characters of the game. *Sebastian & Ominis* carried that Games story for me.
Wonder if Ominus changed his name at some point after this? I mean Voldemort's grandfather must have been born shortly before this game and they were already showing signs of mental decay but Ominus seemed normal
From what it seems like, Voldemort comes from the line of Ominis' older brother, so Ominis pretty much doesn't have anything to do with him apart from being his great great uncle or so
This was one of the MOST DELICATE situations in the game, Because I REALLY LIKE Sebastian, But I didn't want to wrong Ominis too since he is a good person. Sebastian was my favourite.
Oh~ Dear I feel so lucky for my chose. In my game, I take side with Sabastian and not curse to Ominis. I choose “Never mind” but I can still learn this curse “Imperio” too.
I felt quite bad for Ominus. Destined to be the ancestor of the greatest dark wizard of the age but he has such a soft, brave heart. Perhaps he belonged in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff? Imagine that lol
Eh, the slytherin house is not inherently evil, but the traits could easily be possessed by someone who ends up causing a disaster. If you remember the saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then it is essentially Sebastian's storyline.
This questline is the best, they should have made it the main one and leave Ranrok only a looming threat for future expansions or sequels. Instead you're supposed to believe that a 1st year student (in 5th-class grade) no matter how talented can take on Voldemort-level threat when they learned how to cast Expelliarmus just a few months ago.
I was so annoyed that I had to side with Sebastian when I did not even want to go on the quest with him because I knew it was a mistake. I don't unterstand why most people like Sebastian so much after everything he has done in the game

@@frozen0728 no, I wouldn't kill my uncle who tries his best to support my sister, even when I don't agree with him. And don't forget that killing Solomon did nothing for Anne. I would NEVER cast imperio on ominis no matter how many times I played the story. Casting crucio on Sebastian is one thing, but putting Ominis under the influence of the imperius curse is just messed up.
Huh didn't know you could actually do this but on the first time I played I have the feeling that using imperio on him would be the thing that Sebastian would do if Ominis didn't step aside. I was kind of fearing I would have to watch Sebastian cast it on Ominis and try justify it to us like it was the only way got so glad wen got Ominis to hear me and step aside even if I actually agree with him that the relic should be left there to rot for all eternity.
Wait... i didnt even have thios part.. i completed the whole game and i didnt have ominis and the dialoge... i met him outside, we walked in and he said hell warn headmaster and ran off.. Did i do smth wrong?
Yeah another reason Sebastian got mad here. He offered to teach it earlier and they said no but now they're asking him to teach it to them to use it on Ominis. Sebastian gets jealous in some way of either option. But honestly I don't blame him. He's known Ominis pretty much his whole life and can't convince him then we come along and are able to get him to agree with us. Or we say no to the learning the curse earlier but now when it's convenient we suddenly want to learn it and use it on someone he's really close to and cares about so can't say I blame him for responding the way he does.
when I see this I´m so grateful for the way I played. trying to save everyone getting happy end well as much happy as it can be. But there is actually option to cast imperio on Ominis?! I wanna puke....Ominis,Sebastian and MC are golden trio of old times, doing something like that is simply disguisting...And I say that as someone that uses avada and imperio in combat...not crucio tho... crucio is truly unforgivable...

Why does the male voice for the player's character sound clear yet the female characters voice always sounds as if it has some sort of .....echo or reverb?
I've noticed the same thing. Although, if you go with the default female voice it sounds just fine, once you change the pitch then it sounds robotic. I think they used some intense auto tune to change the pitch rather than getting a new voice actor for each one.

It’s very aristocratic, which is fitting.
I find these two boys are a something lol. And I'm the third 😂
@@Alhapra perfect time to start a polygamy ;)

"Step aside, Ominis. Stay in place until we're out of sight."
*Steps aside and immediately begins to move again*
Well he is blind..... sooo.
Ominis loses everything regardless of what choice. He already lost anne and he ends his friendship with Sebastian.
Poor guy
Yeah he don’t have family too, poor ominis
sebastian’s back must’ve hurt for single-handedly carrying the whole game
I regret casting it on him lowkey. I guess thats what they meant by you had to live with your choices even though theres no morality system
Same I felt bad as I was leaving the cave 😂
Yeah, this is the point of role play (RPG). People focus too much on the solid system (like morality system for example) but they forgot to set the mindset to do a roleplay lol.
Ominis : *blind*
Player : Stand aside until we are out of sight.
Ominis : ok
I didn’t even realise that casting it on him was an option💀
I thought it was the only way since you learn it a few seconds earlier. I'm surprised by the choices the game gives you. There is generally not only one ending even in "useless" quest like the one where you can save a portrait but in the end i burned him. I thought it was just a way for me to scare him and have a bonus to save him.
I casted it without hesitation lol
@@LordSettler ong same. Literally 2 minutes ago. Hope it doesn’t bite me in the butt later🤣
Calm down Sebastian no need to get Jealous.
Sebastian was the first friend I was drawn too but the moment he said crucio I knew he was going down a dark path. Very compelling tho
@@Kasiarzynka Yea I sided with Ominis after the argument over Goblin kind and him calling me ignorant
Ominis was born blind so it is creepy when he looks directly at you while walking away after you casted Imperio on him.
Omg I was afraid i killed him. When I walked out I realised I told him to wait till we were out of SIGHT. I thought we'd find out he died in there 💀
i thought that too lmaooo pwned
Too bad. I hate this character sooooooo damn much lol. I want him dead…
Can't say who is the bigger sociopath / psychopath in this questline -
Solomon - for losing control and lashing out in an uncontrollable destructive rage on his nephew
Sebastian - for seeking out forbidden relics, constantly breaking rules, not understanding the consequences of his actions and believing that sweet talk & denial will let him get away with anything
The MC - for enabling Sebastian's recklessness, shutting down Ominis and Anne when they are clearly the sane ones here and clearly see the futility of Sebastian's quest - all so that they can learn torture, brainwash and murder spells
I would pick Natty / Poppy over Sebastian any day.
I also hate that we help Sebastian down this path but our character is still considered a "good guy". Even if we learn and use the curses. This game is pretty amazing, but I feel like they just didn't spend enough time on the depth of certain bits.
Natty was so boring what
@@grim_56 don't forget we're entitled to our own opinions.
@@Giulianaluzon
Yep and that’s mine
Up until murdering his uncle on a needless impulse maybe.
@@LuminousWhispers11so you wouldnt do any of that for your sister? shes lost the will to live, but i havent lost hope in her. her uncle is pushing her hope away every day, and basically telling her there’s nothing else anyone can do. i think people forget how much enjoying your life and not being stressed impacts your health. Solomon is one of the reasons annes curse is as bad as it is, hope is an important thing when dealing with life threatening causes. I would hate him too. I would kill him for my sister too. almost everything sebastian did was okay, the MC killed countless people throughout this gameplay, why is it such a big deal when sebastian does it???
@@frozen0728 Question: So, you wouldn't do any of that for your sister?
Response: Would I act impulsively and only consider the end result? No, I wouldn't.
Statement: She has lost the will to live.
Statement: Almost everything Sebastian did was okay
Response: Manipulating, guilt tripping, and lying to your best friend and others to get what you want was the majority of what he was doing.
Uses Imperio - "Stay behind until we're out of sight" ..... he says to the blind member of the group....
This is honestly the most sociopathic and sadistic thing you can do in game ( besides attacking animals then capturing and selling them)
You clearly dont need to cast imperio, Ominous is just trying to be a good friend, and then even sebastian is having second thoughts.
Make an evil playthrough interesting.
the music after casting Imperio on Ominis is fucking crazy i even shed a tear minutes after doing it when outside of the dungeon
Do you know what it's called by chance?
When you’re learning your spells. You can aim the arrow thingy down the path and go faster. The button points are like speed boost pads in Mario cart
Imperio is such useful spell in this game. If ypu cast it on troll, it will handle all goblins for you.
leave the poor homie be mans been thru a lot
Its a reallly weird scene , specially when its really easy to convince him to let you go
I wasn’t even aware using the imperius curse on him was an option, damn. Not that it matters unfortunately, the fact that he’s so “I can’t let you leave with the relic” and then even without the curse he gives in is ridiculous. It’s so frustrating how nothing you do in this game matters.
"stay in place til we're out of sight" yes because that is definitely the most appropriate thing to say to a blind person isn't it
step aside ominis, stay in place until we're out of sight... DUDE THE GUY IS BLIND
I remember I waited like 30 minutes for my choice, Eventually saying Sebastian is right, Then when he said what are you suggesting, Impero? I also thought for another 30 minutes.. And then said Nevermind!
The Sebastian storyline could be used as a DLC and given much more detail and consequences
Shit I didn't know you could even cast imperio on him. I just picked the top option and got the usual RPG negotiation.
Ominis: My mind is made up, I will NOT let you take that relic!
Player: But Ominis, we have to.
Ominis: You're right. Take it.
Bro I’m so gonna be a charismatic dark wizard
I didn’t even know about Imperio being cast on Ominis until the other day because I had chose the other option. I think I still would have picked the other option. I’d feel bad casting Imperio on Ominis.
I wasn't paying attention to the sounds we were hearing the first time, then the second time I heard hissing, he was using parseltoungue the slippery basterd and I love it
I would die for Ominis

@@vaekal fun fact, Ominis and Dumbledore attend Hogwarts at the same time. Ominis/Sebastian/Your Character’s 7th year is Dumbledore’s first.
I don't get it, what's the point of using imperio if he's agreeing to being cursed? Might as well just do it out of his own free will instead of being magically mind controlled. Seems like a waste of a curse
I feel like ominis will never let you take the relic, but he doesnt want to end his friendship with sebastian
By casting imperio, he gives his responsibility to you, he cant fight either way, but he will feel responsible had you not cast imperio on him
I think this is also why sebastian is also a bit hesitant becauss he knew the impact of the spell is much more dangerous than just taking responsibility from him, as we later see he actually use imperio in a much bloodier way.
Man i kind of regret using imperio on him
I think the voice actor coud've done a better job casting that Imperius curse.
Ominis says How can I stand by and WATCH him… bold word choice writers
I gotta say I'm surprise the using imperio option goes so...well. Much more consensual (though still very much under duress) than I had pictured. And glad to see Sebastian's knee jerk reaction was to get protective of Ominis. When I played it, I was so worried if I didn't reason with him, Sebastian would end up using it on him.
What?! You can use *Imperio* on Ominis, I just reasoned with him. Cant use that spell on one of the best characters of the game.
*Sebastian & Ominis* carried that Games story for me.
I felt so fucking bad after doing this I had to reload and do it nicely 😅
Wonder if Ominus changed his name at some point after this? I mean Voldemort's grandfather must have been born shortly before this game and they were already showing signs of mental decay but Ominus seemed normal
From what it seems like, Voldemort comes from the line of Ominis' older brother, so Ominis pretty much doesn't have anything to do with him apart from being his great great uncle or so
I chose to believe that he survives and lives a new life far away
“Stay in place until we’re out of sight” to a blind man
the world lost a spider, and I will sleep better now...
I cursed Ominis and felt guilty afterward, but after watching this, I’d feel even more guilty making a promise I won’t keep😪 AVADA KADAVRA.
This was one of the MOST DELICATE situations in the game, Because I REALLY LIKE Sebastian, But I didn't want to wrong Ominis too since he is a good person.

Say what now. Oh thank god I reasoned with him. There's no way I could stomach the act.
Using imperio on Ominis made the least sense to me. Seems a bit drastic if you ask me.
In fact i'm surprised Ominis even agreed to such a thing.
I negotiated with Ominis instead of cursing him. Ominis is my fav character in the game.
I don't have the heart to cast imperio on Ominis
manipulating Omnis is funnier than casting the Imperio curse on him lol
Oh~ Dear I feel so lucky for my chose. In my game, I take side with Sabastian and not curse to Ominis. I choose “Never mind” but I can still learn this curse “Imperio” too.
I felt quite bad for Ominus. Destined to be the ancestor of the greatest dark wizard of the age but he has such a soft, brave heart. Perhaps he belonged in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff? Imagine that lol
Eh, the slytherin house is not inherently evil, but the traits could easily be possessed by someone who ends up causing a disaster. If you remember the saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then it is essentially Sebastian's storyline.
i didn’t get to use imperio on Ominis (not that i wanted to) and i was almost bummed that i missed it
Uhh
Bit of a leap there
"Until we're out of sight"
The guy's blind...
Because hes an interesting character. I will like a character that is interesting, no matter how bad their actions are
He had our back the whole time
I just goldigged for the unforgivable curses

@@frozen0728 no, I wouldn't kill my uncle who tries his best to support my sister, even when I don't agree with him. And don't forget that killing Solomon did nothing for Anne. Of course you try the best to help the ones you love but at some point you have to accept that they can't be saved and instead help them to spend their last time on earth feeling loved
Sebastian has a blind focus and wizarding worlds magic is so odd like no curse breaking spells at all is so darkly unbalanced.
There was an option to let ominus walk? i’ve clocked this game twice and I never thought to reason with him dude 😭 i though you HAD too

I reasoned with him. Just doesn't feel right if I cursed him
Quick question if you choose the wrong answer to get the impero curse how do you go back and change your answer so u can get the spell??
wtf this is not how my part played out, I received Imperio earlier than this?
Your action and choices affect the game and how you play
When you chose to learn it earlier, you already knew it
Yeah another reason Sebastian got mad here.
I think ominis, took his wife’s name after all that……to get rid of the gaunt legacy
when I see this I´m so grateful for the way I played. trying to save everyone getting happy end well as much happy as it can be.
I love all these beautiful comments below but Ominous got it on site!!! Should've minded his business… Nobody told him to follow me....until I was half way back hearing Sebastians remorse 🥺I didnt want to do it but again still shouldn't have follow us!

It bothers me that he spelled Potter with a lowercase p
Why does the male voice for the player's character sound clear yet the female characters voice always sounds as if it has some sort of .....echo or reverb?
I've noticed the same thing. Although, if you go with the default female voice it sounds just fine, once you change the pitch then it sounds robotic. I think they used some intense auto tune to change the pitch rather than getting a new voice actor for each one.
They definitely did. Sounds like I just changed the pitch with my phone. Such a lazy way of altering pitch, it sounds awful.
