Growing up, i recall my mom adding ketchup and mustard to her mixture as well. She left out the eggs. Your recipe is definitely my go-to recipe. It’s so delicious. Thank you 🙏
Hi, It is so wonderful to see the face that goes with the voice and all the wonderful recepies. You're a life saver to me. May God continue to richly Bless you. 🙏❤️❤️
I made this macaroni pie recipe for a thanksgiving dinner here in America and it was a BIG HIT! I followed her recipe to the T. I Also made her sweet bread recipe and it too was a big hit at the thanksgiving dinner. Thank you Ria! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your delicious recipe.
Great to see the face that goes with these recipes..They are always on point...I have tried alot of your recipes from your websitr and I have never been dissapointed...Thanks and keep up the good work.
I'm 11 and I find it was time to learn to cook and I came across your video and today I'm making pie for my whole family god bless you and thank u so much 😁 and please upload a video on how to make soup or bread thanks 😙
Thanks for trying my recipe Tai! I'm impressed--please talk to my daughters! Lol Hope your family enjoyed it! I will work on a bread recipe for you soon. 😘💞Keep in touch.
It’s very nice to put a face to Ria and the cooking I am in the process of getting my oven preheated at 400 degrees hot 🥵 and I did do as you described and when it’s finished aft45 minutes I will and on to the comments, stay tuned
Just found your channel. You are lovely and your recipes are authentic and easy to follow - even a seasoned cook will pick up good tips and learn from you. Thank you for sharing, looking forward to more. x
Hi Ria and my name is Ria as well. I enjoy your segments on great Trinidadian dishes. I love cooking and will be sure to try out your take on these delicious recipes 😋
You do a wonderful job with your cooking Ria, I love watching your videos because besides your cooking you speak the same way I do. I am so proud to say I am from the same Island as you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ria you are beautiful. Such a talented cook. Your hubby is a lucky man! I love your clarity of instructions. My husband is part Trini so once in a while i like to surprise him with a dish.
Southern black pple in the U.S makes mac and cheese like this minus the ketchup and garlic. We use a combo of cheese which includes hoop cheese (cheese with red wax shaped like a triangle). I'll try your version with garlic and ketchup. Thank you for this recipe.
Hi, great recipe! My family absolutely loved it. You should know the link to the printable recipe is broken. Please fix it as I have it saved and can no longer access it 😢
I found your comment under a celebrities not so appetizing mac and cheese you tastefully directed us over to your macaroni pie and I hope she comes to view your video as well. I will be preparing this soon
Great to see a face with the voice. I'm definitely going to try this recipe with the ketchup and mustard. I've never put ketchup or mustard in any of my pies I've baked in the past. However, your roties are the bomb!
I recently found your channel and I adore your style and your recipes. Your channel is everything I want in a food channel. I, too enjoy food preparation like yourself. I do want to apologize for the negative comments, you see as one grows there's always crabs in the barrel trying to pull you down. Climb higher and ignore the negative.
Ria is not speaking with an accent. The lady was brought up (prim and proper). That means she speaks proper English because that’s the way she was brought up. I speak the same way and it’s not because I live in the United States, I have been speaking like this since I was a child. My mother wouldn’t have it any other way. By the way we speak the King’s English in Trinidad at least when I was living there.
Looking really good! I tried to make some but the bottom got burnt I buttered the tray. Do you think the bottom got burnt cause the heat was too high ?
Oh no, Did you place it on the middle rack? Seems that your oven gets too hot or needs calibrating. Buy an oven thermometer to check the real temp, lower the heat--or use a glass dish if you didn't.
hi I am so glad I found your channel! I remember checking out your cooking with Ria site and I loved it. just subbed. looking forward to more of your vids.
Proper English, yes, but slightly Americanized accent as well, probably because she's lived there for some time. That aside, she articulates herself so well and it's one of my favorite things about her content.
Correct English and Accent are two different things. Speaks ok but I personally cant stand hearing Ts pronounced as Ds...like budder and ead. Its pretentious especially when content is about Trini food.
Leave the lady alone about her accent...so she picked up an American lingo...what's the big deal!her cooking is superb..well done Tea.. keep inspiring us xx
I really enjoy the video, but there was a few things that you should included to make this better. I'm just learning to cook so i would appreciate it if you would say how much ketchup, black pepper, and mustard you used. Like i said the presentation was excellent but it would help to have a idea of how much of the ingredients you used
DELROY RUSSELL Link to my recipes are usually under the video in the description box. Enjoy! www.cookingwithria.com/2013/08/cheesy-and-creamy-trinidad-macaroni-pie.html?m=1
Amazing how southern black Americans make it the same way only many omit onions, garlic, and ketchup. Im going to try it with it the next time i make it.
You are so beautiful! Show your face more often to go with that beautiful voice! I will try your recipe. I use whipping cream instead of evap. And a mix of asadero and Monterey Jack. Please try and let me know what you think! Keep up the great work!
what's with the half on American accent...your Trini living here or there..why do Trinidadians have to put on an American accent when they are pure Trinidadians living in Trinidad..now how do you expect people to get the real Trini sense of local food...you can speak professionally without the half American speech if you live over hear and not there..good greif people.
Garnet Beharry Garnet Beharry sorry to disappoint you but I've been living in America for almost 25 years. Doesn't make me any less of a Trinidadian because of the way I speak or where I live. I am very proud of my culture and heritage that's why I am inspired to share my skills and talents. I love my people and country but I wish Trinidadians were less criticizing and more supportive like other cultures.
Fake? Water down? Smh, you've never spent a significant amount of time overseas, have you? Its hurts me in this comment section, to see just how much Trini's hate on their own kinfolk. You came for her recipe and impeccable presentation but, how typical, that you nit pick instead of commend and thank her for what she just gave you free of charge. Smh
This lady made me go from a cute gyal to a woman to house. Ria you helped me go from disaster to most eligable bachlorette.
Growing up, i recall my mom adding ketchup and mustard to her mixture as well. She left out the eggs.
Your recipe is definitely my go-to recipe. It’s so delicious. Thank you 🙏
Thank you, Ria. I made this on my own for the first time. My new boo loved it! And it's so simple to cook. Blessed 💗

My coworker speaks proper English as well, he’s a lawyer and his mom was a teacher in Trinidad, so that’s how he was raised.
