I saw him perform at "City Stages" in the summer of 98 or 99 in Birmingham Al. During "Do you Feel Like I Do" two guys got in a fight right up front, Frampton slowly stopped playing and looked at them. They slowly stopped fighting and looked back at Frampton and he said "Gentleman...please, if you're going to fight...dont do it during my hits..." Lol Never forgot that.
In 1976 he was the shit... Top selling live album ever... I say he received plenty of well deserved credit... There was a shit ton of great rock music made during those times... Frampton made one great album, one of the best I might add, but his entire body of work does not compare to the accomplishments of many of the bands of the time....
12 years old, living in the San Fernando Valley , not a care in the world, the comfort of having parents that took care of you...this song was everywhere, truly the soundtrack of our lives. TO BE YOUNG AGAIN.
Howard's studio has one of the best sound engineers in the industry. He has proved that with so many great group and solo artists on his program. Frampton is just one example...
I love how Howard Stern asks questions about how the songs come about, he genuinely seems interested in the craft of songwriting... oh and this guy Frampton is pretty good too.
An awesome song with a beautifully simple sentiment - what a great voice and incredible vocal range. Clearly Peter Frampton has looked after himself all these years...
Kudos to Peter for aging so gracefully. He is not trying to present himself as the long-haired, blonde rock god that he was in the seventies. Instead he comes across as just a regular bald, grey older guy, albeit one who happens to play legendary guitar. He gives hope to the rest of us, ha ha.
You watch interviews back in the day up until now he always consistently comes across as a genuinely nice guy, always unassuming and humble, that is pretty rare with a guy with his talent level
He was a star at 15 and still shines bright today. What a great contribution to society, making music that touches everybody’s soul and lifts our spirits. GOD bless you Peter Frampton !!!
Friday, September 13, 2019 - I just got home from seeing Peter @ Madison Square Garden in NYC. @ 68 this man is still crazy talented and the disease has not taken away his dexterity. Absurdly talented!
Also saw the farewell tour, Oct 6th 2019 in Tuolumne CA. Yup, balding, old, a little slow moving, but guitar chops and voice? In spades! A true legend, and always a gentleman
Gives me chills.... he still sounds the same. I love this song - reminds me of an old girl friend when I hear it. Thank you Peter for your honest and raw rendition of this song.
Saw him perform live at Woodstock (Bethel, NY) last summer with my three sons. Hearing this song brought tears to my eyes. Being with my sons and seeing him perform live was such a special moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Thanks Peter. You are so awesome.
Thank you Howard. I was such a big Frampton fan from 1971, the time he left Humble Pie until he made it big. Nobody seemed to understand me in 72 and 73 when he was still a nobody
I'll say it many many times and will continue saying it, Peter Frampton is one of the best underrated artist of all time right along with Jeff Lyne. As a guitar player Peter is right up there with Clapton and all of the greatest and likewise as a singer.
I saw Peter twice on this tour. In West Palm, and in Concord for his final show. There is no more underrated guitarist in history. Simply fabulous! A great performer.
What a joyful feeling he evokes, especially with this song! Got a great feeling listening & watching. Took me back to teenage years in the 1970's, with my best friend (now deceased), went to Peter Frampton concert in Pittsburgh.
I have loved this man's incredible music for almost 50 years. Thank you so much Maestro. Songs of life and love get me every time. So sad about your deterioting health. Cruel!
Frampton Comes Alive!!! Epic! I wore out the 8 track ...yes 8 track, Don't laugh😂. Years later got the CD, still have it...this is my favorite song. Still makes me smile all these years later
Saw Frampton recently in concert. Didn’t know what to expect, as I didn’t follow him closely. OMG, as soon as the band started the first song I was blown away, sounded like I was back in high school...1976. They were amazing 😃
When you're young your mind is open and less stressed. That's why most artists did their best writing early in their careers. I'm 58 and have so much on my mind that I can barely finish a song on the guitar.
I wonder how many times Peter has played that song over the years. But the passionate way he performs the tune, you’d think it was the first time!! A true talent and a guy that loves what he does! Enjoyable to listen to, and I love the little tidbits we always get when guests are talking to Howard!!
Frampton’s success is remarkable when you think how he 1st recorded his songs on studio albums with moderate success and little AirPlay...then he does live shows of these songs and starts to build a huge following... then he records these songs while playing them live for a live album “Framptom Comes Alive”that gets a lot of airplay on the radio... it climbs the charts and becomes one of the best selling live albums in history... amazing!
Aces back 2 back. Summertime 1977. Peter Frampton and Walter Jackson filled L. A. 's radio waves all day long and into the nighttime, with their back 2 back versions. My girl, Colleen, and myself, loved stoking, and stroking the other's ego with these love ballads. All the time, ya'll.
Saw him with Humble Pie in Glasgow and at the Wembley Arena with his own band. Still has his infectious smile and enthusiasm that I will never forget at is performances. I guess when you rub shoulders with Stevie Marriot the talent you have has to blossom. Check out the history of these guys if you don't know. Its a wonderfull journey of pop and rock history.
Peter Frampton should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He’s not??? That’s hard to believe... he better be eventually. That’s ridiculous. Hard to believe.
Is he in with Humble Pie?
RnR HOF Has no integrity. Shouldn't be held as any kind of standard to determine the merit of an artist's career.
Zevon fan btw. :p
They had to make room for Janet Jackson..WTF
@@keithfreeland7638 No he isnt :(
One of the most beautiful songs ever composed.
Peter Frampton always seems like such a kind decent guy and just an awesome musician and performer!
well said a fine musician
Dmab661 he’s not. He’s a dick.
I saw him perform at "City Stages" in the summer of 98 or 99 in Birmingham Al.
During "Do you Feel Like I Do" two guys got in a fight right up front, Frampton slowly stopped playing and looked at them. They slowly stopped fighting and looked back at Frampton and he said "Gentleman...please, if you're going to fight...dont do it during my hits..."
Lol Never forgot that.
His smiles r adorable 🥰
Frampton is a genius that never gets the credit he derserves!
He is Master Class at the Craft 👍👍🙂🙂
William Scarbrough you.re right....
He really is. I saw a video where he said by the time he was 14 or so he had mastered the guitar and his parents said this is getting serious now.
JW name of the video?
In 1976 he was the shit... Top selling live album ever... I say he received plenty of well deserved credit... There was a shit ton of great rock music made during those times... Frampton made one great album, one of the best I might add, but his entire body of work does not compare to the accomplishments of many of the bands of the time....
This guy is still fantastic........
Peter Frampton has earned his silver! He needs to be in the Rock n Roll hall of fame now!
ABSOLUTELY !!!!! He's a beautiful soul 4 sure !! MY FAV. tune by him !
No. It’s a badge of honor to NOT be in the hall of fame.
Time puts everything in its right place. This is one of the most beautiful songs in rock history.
Always been, always will.
Amen Brother!
💯
Truth Mario 😊
Reminds me when my wife and I were married in 1976, Still together 43 years later. Still love her just as much today as I did as a Teenager.
I don't give a fuck. Stop sharing with strangers
I can only hope for a relationship like that in the long future. Congrats. :)
So awesome to hear you guys rock on!!
That’s pretty special
What a beautiful testimony of life my dear, beautiful! A lasting soundtrack for a lasting love!
12 years old, living in the San Fernando Valley , not a care in the world, the comfort of having parents that took care of you...this song was everywhere, truly the soundtrack of our lives. TO BE YOUNG AGAIN.
So true
One of the greatest songs ever made. Amazing. Makes you feel all happy inside.
So true. Beautiful song.
Howard's studio has one of the best sound engineers in the industry. He has proved that with so many great group and solo artists on his program. Frampton is just one example...
This is one of the most beautiful guitar solos I’ve ever heard
I love how Howard Stern asks questions about how the songs come about, he genuinely seems interested in the craft of songwriting... oh and this guy Frampton is pretty good too.
He is generally confused 😂
guitar chops never in doubt, and Frampton's voice holding up so well. Timeless song.
When I hear this song, I’m 16 again with the whole world at my feet & not a care in the world ♥️
Exact ditto!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😢😂
Beautiful song, beautiful voice and musician
Amazing guitarist, singer and songwriter. Love the Humble Pie era.
Very well put it. Millennials won't have a clue what you're talking about, but I do.
He's the reason I started playing guitar. At 11 years old, I was fascinated by the album and the guy. Thank you for showing me the way.
I love your post. Keep on playing
I so love this song!!!❤
Kudos to Howard for doing these shows and inviting all the great ones.
Perfection. Thank you Peter Frampton for the way you Loved and perfected your craft for all these years. You brought much joy to this world.
An awesome song with a beautifully simple sentiment - what a great voice and incredible vocal range. Clearly Peter Frampton has looked after himself all these years...
For decades...I still ❤️ thank you Peter. You are amazing.
The way Howard can pull things out of the interviewee’s head is why he is considered one of the best.
This was my wife and I’s first dance song at our wedding on June 15, 2019. What a wonderful day we had!
and at your Divorce you'll play Nothing Left Inside by Black Flag , eh ?
You're lucky you got your wedding in with your guests before the pandemic happened! 💜
BLESS YOU FRIEND
I love when Howard is actually admires the musical guest. He totally fanboys out and asks all the fanboy questions.
Will Smith facts
agreed. he does it for us. I wonder if he understands how incredible his life is
I came here after watching a clip of the Midnight Special. I remember I had Frampton Comes Alive on cassette as a kid in the 70's.
Being a singer, songwriter, and playing a guitar is some major talent.

IBM is devastating.I pray he is spared .

Class act, great guitarist and writer, Peter Frampton is the real deal.
This is wonderful. Frampton is so talented.
A big fan i love ypur way peter ⚘💖❤🎶🥁🎸😎🙂😃😉teacher 😉
Frampton Comes Alive, not only one of the best live albums, one of the best albums period, IMO. Still one of my favorites!
Wow, my girlfriend & I just saw Peter live in concert in Dallas, Texas and what a show that was... a huge thumbs up for him and his band. Bravo!
Gives me chills.... he still sounds the same. I love this song - reminds me of an old girl friend when I hear it. Thank you Peter for your honest and raw rendition of this song.

Driving my camaro home from campus in the summer of 1976,,windows rolled down,,,👍🇺🇸
Saw him perform live at Woodstock (Bethel, NY) last summer with my three sons. Hearing this song brought tears to my eyes. Being with my sons and seeing him perform live was such a special moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Thanks Peter. You are so awesome.
Soooo much class......

Mitchell Smith me too!
There is nothing like watching a great musician play live up close...it is a transcendent experience. This made my night.
He is such a great artist. Love many of his songs. Saw him back in the mid 70s was a great concert
Simply....A Legend....
I'll say it many many times and will continue saying it, Peter Frampton is one of the best underrated artist of all time right along with Jeff Lyne. As a guitar player Peter is right up there with Clapton and all of the greatest and likewise as a singer.
Not underrated
I am so happy that Howard has turned into such a nice host.
I was in 7th grade when Comes Alive came out. I feel blessed to have been so influenced by Peter Frampton
I saw Peter twice on this tour. In West Palm, and in Concord for his final show. There is no more underrated guitarist in history. Simply fabulous! A great performer.
when he explained how he got the 1st verse to the song i started bawling and haven't stopped yet. that was fkn beautiful and beyond experience.
A beautiful song from the talented Mr Peter Frampton. Love his voice. 07/24
What a joyful feeling he evokes, especially with this song! Got a great feeling listening & watching. Took me back to teenage years in the 1970's, with my best friend (now deceased), went to Peter Frampton concert in Pittsburgh.
Fantastic.
One of those musicians I'd like to shake his hand and thank him for making life better every day, for all of us.

My favorite song from Peter Frampton 💘🩷💘
Frampton Comes Alive!!! Epic! I wore out the 8 track ...yes 8 track, Don't laugh😂. Years later got the CD, still have it...this is my favorite song. Still makes me smile all these years later
I love watching Pete as his facial expressions display true happiness.
Wow, that was excellent, there’s nothing like a song just performed with a acoustic guitar, in the raw.
Saw Frampton recently in concert. Didn’t know what to expect, as I didn’t follow him closely. OMG, as soon as the band started the first song I was blown away, sounded like I was back in high school...1976. They were amazing 😃
One of the best of all time!
Loved that song in76 , still love that song!!
One of the great songs ever recorded. Will always be my favorite❤
When you're young your mind is open and less stressed. That's why most artists did their best writing early in their careers. I'm 58 and have so much on my mind that I can barely finish a song on the guitar.

A true talent and a guy that loves what he does! Enjoyable to listen to, and I love the little tidbits we always get when guests are talking to Howard!!
He was an inspiring musician, and a good friend.
Beautiful
Saw him in Concert in 1978. My first ever concert and I was about 20 feet from the stage right in front of him. It's burnt into my memory.
I love how he says he wrote the song... watching the sunset and how crazy he was about some girl. That's so sweet ❤️. He's an amazing man.
Saw him in concert last summer. Was a dream come true.
Howard’s show has only gotten better and better over the years.
Saw him in concert in 77 at 19 yrs old with Yes, Gentle Giant and Gary Wright..great concert..fun times back then.
Mr. Frampton, Still Helping Increase the population one moment at a time........ Thanks for all the love man!
Peter Frampton gave us this beautiful love song to have forever and enjoy. Thank you Peter 🎸✌❤🎶😎
this really is an awesome version of his timeless classic
The album still has legs today. Love Frampton
I was 10 when this was a hit in 1977, I can remember singing along and I still love it and Peter Frampton x
I don’t get how someone can dislike this?? Incredible artist!!! Love this song! U go mr Frampton!
A beautiful classic, for sure!
Perfect
Arguably one of the best written "love song" of all time !!!!
Im singing this to my wife at my wedding. And for that....Thanks Peter.
What a great idea for a wedding song. Congrats.
What a treat. Love the solo. Fun to watch him jam.
Frampton’s success is remarkable when you think how he 1st recorded his songs on studio albums with moderate success and little AirPlay...then he does live shows of these songs and starts to build a huge following... then he records these songs while playing them live for a live album “Framptom Comes Alive”that gets a lot of airplay on the radio... it climbs the charts and becomes one of the best selling live albums in history... amazing!
Such brilliance you are, Peter.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard * Very sad too 🎵 💜
Still my very FIRST ALBUM I EVER loved..my Dad would play it on 8 track over and over in our 1978 family truckster. Best album ever.
Such an awesome performer, brings back great memories.
He is amazing! A lovely person and, for me, the best guitar player ever! Love him!!!!
That was just jaw-dropping… Everything from the story behind the song to the performance!
Lucky to have seen him at a concert in 1981 in our gymnasium at St. John’s University in New York. A memory forever etched in my mind……
I don't have words to describe what Peter Frampton is to music! ....He's just literally genius...everything he writes is magic!
He was so freaking huge, looks and sounds great, one of the very few to survive super fame.
Kudos to whoever is doing the sound. Every time I click on a Hoard clip with a musician the recording is alway stop notch.
They don't write em like this anymore 👍
Isbell is as close as it gets
There are definitely a ton of great artists making great music out there, but they are far from the mainstream.
True. This song is always a joy to listen to. Love it.
whatever
@@teddybear-sb6711 Yeah....okay
He's a musical genius indeed..he still rock it! i am a big fan since my hs days 80's..♡

Frig'n Howard . He's equally as brilliant at his own craft . One of the best interviewers of all time .

se7enmax Steve Marriott didn’t nearly get the celebrity or respect he had earned😢 he and peter together as HP was outstanding
I saw him in Humble Pie March & May of 71' the later .was the weekend of 4 shows that would become Rockin the Fillmore
