Now I'm glad I've seen this. I tried on Remastered to use your strat from your old speed run of this mission but could never get the units to focus on the nod buggy in the North East corner, they'd always immediately target the commando. Must be a difference in the AI settings from c&c gold. So seeing this new one of yours makes me relieved its not just my Remastered copy lol
I always used the method of going round the side (like the nazis with the maginot line :p) and destroying a wall section. Then diverting all the units and just stealth tank double teaming the adv comm ctr
Ah, yes, this is actually exactly what I did just as I finished commenting on your other video (Although obviously I didn't do it anywhere near as fast). Thanks for putting all these speedrun videos out, sometimes these strats are honestly also the _easiest_ way to beat the missions, not just the fastest. :D That's probably because usually completing the missions faster means the AI builds less units or harvests less resources, and sometimes, like in this case, it usually means that they have less time to react.

Man, I would have never thought of using the stealth tanks as a diversion for the advanced guard towers. Good idea. Also do you plan on doing a playthrough of the dinosaur missions at some point as well?

I meant I’m not sure if it was changed in the remastered version, but in the classic, it has to swing its turret to fire a rocket at a ground target. And only as it is shooting. If it swings but doesn’t shoot right away, it still won’t shoot a rocket. It’s almost as if it’s tossing the rockets instead of firing them.
I hated the swing thing anyway. Rockers for infantry shells for vehicles like in RA is best ... although I guess that does mean you could argue that red alert mammoths are a little OP.

They used the AI from Red Alert in the Remaster
As I wrote in the description - this method is actually faster than my old method (and far less risky too)

I'm glad they abandoned the top left most unit thing. Although it did make manipulating the AI much more predictable and easy.
@@TheOmegaRiddler That's only for skirmish mode. The mission AI is pretty much the same. It's been tweaked a little, but not copied from RA.

If the mammoth already targets you from far away it doesn’t fire the rocket
Not sure in the remaster, the mammoth also doesn’t fire the rockets if the turret doesn’t swing around.
