I was able to buy it on GOG and it installs and runs just fine without anything extra on Windows 10 & 11. I hear some people needed to enable compatibility mode for the game's executable to work, but that's not difficult to do.
Tutorials in video games are often designed to be impossible or extremely difficult to fail. Just like in my last video in failing a tutorial, this isn't how the game is intended to behave.
It's a little bit rough around the edges, but it's a classic good game. I had great memories with it as a kid, putting the CD into the computer's disk drive to play it.
@@Turb0pr1m314 Or even just computers in general! You gotta install one yourself or more likely get a USB disk reader. Fortunately they have digital versions of Army Men RTS now.
@@JuLY-LION oh sweet, if I ever find the time, and by that I mean if I ever finish playing through the unplayed games on my steam account, I’ll give it a try
still, there was a game that basicaly YELLED at you for failing it. Dont know the name anymore but the line burned into my brain: "How can you manage to die in a Simulation?" had it on german "Wie haben sie es geschaft in einer Simulation zu sterben?". The TUtorial had NOTHING shooting at you or anything... i simply fell from a tower to my dead XD
It's like they didn't expect anyone to actually be able to fail so they just boot you. lol
And now we know why it's called Boot Camp
I have never played this, nor wondered this, but thanks to the algorithm, I must know!
Army Men RTS Exploration. Interesting!
Thank you! I'm hoping to continue the "Army Men RTS Behind the Scenes" series soon
this is one of my all time childhood favorites
JOY! BLESSED ALGORITHM!
Yoooooo I played the heck out of this long ago
So did I! They have it available on GOG and Steam if you want to pick it back up. Just $2 if it's on sale, $6 if not
That instant replay tho
What an interesting thought lol I love this game so much! I wish it was playable on modern PCs without having to jump through hoops..
