You only have one radiator fan? In hot areas, you might want to use 60% water, because water has a higher specific heat capacity and better thermal conductivity than antifreeze
That is true, however i spent many years around Mount Isa and it does not get much hotter than that area, and most people i knew ran their cars on straight concentrated coolant. Perhaps i have been lucky as the only time i had a problem it was the radiator cap failing.
I cannot get your inquiry re Corolla PCV valve to display, so will reply here. if the valve was stuck open I have read that the vehicle will burn oil and you may also notice dirtier oil when changing it. For what they cost, if you are concerned, I would suggest a new one.
