Hi, I just returned from a vacation in Iceland. Within two days I could feel changes in my body due to going back to an American diet and it WASN'T a good change. The Icelandic people eat much closer to nature. Loved the fish, and in Iceland they sell a drink full of colligan. I drank that hand over fist and it is YUMMY. I'm going to try to get back to eating closer to that Icelandic diet. Now, they do cater to tourists and you have to avoid that food, pop, sugar, etc. And their food portions are smaller than American portions and are so filling. I've done a lot of research on how bad American food is, and that trip to Iceland was the icing on the cake, pun intended. I'm going to just keep working with what I've learned and Dr. Youn is a person who teaches and I love him and his care of people first. Thank you Doctor.
Dr Youn is someone I've only just started following. What I value is his education baselines: diet, supplements, skincare, movement. Dr Youn always explains WHY - he goes through intermittent fasting in a way which anyone can understand. I always complicated my life, I always thought massive changes would only work - I am still having to remind myself that small changes are where it all starts.
Glad to hear the doctor encouraging folks to wear sunscreen. I started wearing it daily when I joined the National Park Service in 1987. I think it’s been of great benefit. Didn’t wear makeup, but did wear Coty loose powder to set the sunscreen on my face.
Max @ 36 "Beauty is Subjective" and opening up the conversation regarding obesity and what is positive and what perhaps is not - I enjoyed this section because it's encouraging honesty. I am body positive, in that, I am giving myself more compassion and respect. Whilst my body is changing and getting healthier, I am dressing it the best way I can. It doesn't mean I am settling it means I can use some great fashion labels to make myself look good whilst I am transitioning from old me... to renewed me.
I will be 65 in March , just ordered Armra colostrum which I saw Dr Sarah Rahal on your show yesterday. This could not come at a more perfect time 😊😊. thank you
Cholesterol makes healthy hormones. Low cholesterol is not the marker of health and in fact, low cholesterol correlates to increased risk of cancer. Cholesterol is not the enemy. And in fact, if you don’t eat enough, your liver will make it.
Great interview! Could Dr. Youn address the chemicals in sunscreen that could damage the liver, plwase. Exatly which chemicals must we avoid in a sunscreen?
My suggestion invite Dr Layne Norton and Dr Mike any questions you would ask they go direct to the answer. They don't travel distance to get to the point i still didn't hear a good answer about fruit and vegetables
First episode I've caught - really enjoyed the conversation and acknowledgement of nuance. Subbed and diving into your past episodes! Are you familiar with the podcast 'Maintenance Phase'? It's focused on mythbusting and the history behind health and weightloss beliefs. It'd be cool to see a discussion with the hosts of that podcast, especially around the conversations, stigmas and nuances supporting and dismissing both health and body positivity (as sometimes they're viewed as mutually exclusive, etc)
Did Dr Youn just say he is getting sunburnt on top of head because of thinning hair? I thought collagen supplements prevent that? Or helps grow hair thicker? I’m confused ??
@@SpiritualAttitudeSage you may be right, but there are thousands who focus on a meat centric diet who never eat bone broth who have no need for it, to my point that with enough protein the body makes all the collagen it needs.
Dr Perricone adviced Alpha Lipoic acid tablets to help prevent damage to collagen from sugar about 25 years ago. This guys says very old news. Very basic info
@@ethimself5064 We need Dr Mike here if we can't eat fruit he said people then go for worse alternatives. Dr Mike recommends we must get our calories from wholefoods. I don't think I understand what the guest is saying he doesn't answer direct questions he drives long distance just to answer a simple question 22:20
Layne is wrong about alot of what he talks about, I don't listen to him anymore! Lol. Fruits spike your blood sugar and force your body to release glucose, to much and over time this it very bad for your vascular system. Watch Pre Med, they have some very good vids.
@@beardumaw24 please listen to him again he didn't say that, you didn't get his message right go back to listen possibly more than once. You're wrong about him.
Great info, making the excess sweating stop within 2 days was so much more than I expected, I went with what I talked about last week and after the first day or so I was very surprised to start feeling much more comfortable and dry! I went ahead and go'ogled Cynthia Yulesin’s Stop Sweating Today and after 72 hours I now sweat like a “normal” person lol
He doesn't answer the question if we should avoid fruit as well as sugar added to food. In fact the title of the video is 'avoid these foods ... but he does not go into and more detail than avoid sugar and processed foods. Talks about supplements mostly.

His skin looks perfect! He looks at least 40, and he’s 50! 😮 I definitely will listen to this man!

What kind of collagen does he recommend?

Listening to Tony Youn makes me really happy. It’s so relieving to my mind hearing the voice of a well researched, intelligent, good person.
Another good thing about collagen - helps you feel full longer. Less snacking.

One of your best podcasts to date. Thanks for putting the guests name on the screen in the beginning.
Thanks so much!
I love dr. Youn and I love Max. It was such a great interview. Not only great information but very positive vibe. Thank you so much❤️
I love dr Youn! He is so funny but at the same time he sends important messages ❤
I love Dr.Youn’s approach. Great interview!
I value you Dr. Young. I am also from Michigan, Troy.
I shall be seeing you soon. Great information today. Thank you
I love you how kinda summarize the whole topic on your podcasts even just in the beginning
I swear i’ve heard this exact conversation on three other podcasts, but still love it just as much every time. Very informative!
I love this doctor , he is amazing .

This is so helpful thank you!
Oh, nice to know about collagen I was hesitant for a long time now I'll try some peptides
Eat moderation of all types of sugar. Like fructose glucose.sucrose lactose, syrup .granulated sugar, maltose, etc.
Great interview! Could Dr. Youn address the chemicals in sunscreen that could damage the liver, plwase. Exatly which chemicals must we avoid in a sunscreen?
*please
Why does Max look like he just rolled out of bed? His hair usually looks like that in every episode, but his shirt is raggedy and his looks sleepy.
What's the difference between hydrolyzed collagen and gelatin?
Ty so much for this very informative 😊

Please tell me if eating Aloe Vera leaves by taking out that spongy thing from the inside of the leave… how does that look??

Actually, any food can raise blood sugar. Portion control is important.
Saying there's beauty in every weight size is basically being politically correct, in the most respectful way possible.
At the one minute mark Max asked if fruit should be avoided. Did Youn ever answer the question?
I don’t think so. But my stance would be no, fruit should not be avoided.
Nope 🫠
Haha maybe I forgot to answer. No, do not avoid fruits. Tons of antioxidants, fiber, and other goodies.

U can try but u will reduce ageing but certain aging u can’t reverse
Sous-titre france ? Merci
If you drink fresh press juices such as beets, apple, carrot, spinach, would these make you age faster; because they all have sugar?
No, fruit is anti-aging.
@maxlugavere do you supplement NMN? We’d love to send you ours to review 🙏🏽
Will send this one to the mrs lol
Still you didn't tell us what is procese food
No more panda 🐼 express for me 😅
But glucose and fructose is a types of sugar
Maybe those who take collagen supplements just aren't getting sufficient protein ( animal based ) to begin with??
There are nany types of collagen so eating a steak wont be as sufficient as eating broth soup for example
@@SpiritualAttitudeSage you may be right, but there are thousands who focus on a meat centric diet who never eat bone broth who have no need for it, to my point that with enough protein the body makes all the collagen it needs.

So I'm 25.. and I've been wanting botox because my forehead looks tight and wrinkled .. what can I do that isn't going to cost me alot lol
Are you sleeping well?
@user-pt4xx4wu2i I sleep maybe 5 hours a night and on weekends I catch up on my sleep and sleep alot so sometimes no sometimes yes
Hydrate, moisturize and use sunscreen.
Your so young. Don't cave to this
Max, did u just woke up?
Fruit does not contain sugar. They contain glucose. There are many "types" of sugar. However, true sugar is actually a processed food.
Not - all fruit contains both glucose and fructose. Where did you find this silly statement?

Collagen supplements can cause heart issues, this is what nobody talks about and it's not uncommon.
Can someone summarize it for me
😂😂😂😂
Basically leave sugar and processed food tf alone if you want to maintain youth.

Wipple is removing the stomach. That's not cool thing.
He still didn't answer the fruit and vegetable question
Why are you always shaking your head like you disagree with what he's saying Lugavere?
It might be shock/disbelief, rather than disagreement

He answered in the comments section to not avoid fruits because they are rich in antioxidants.
I love him but hate he’s being political and not answering straightforward. Pointless
Its called explaining
Waste of energy.
