It may be silly, but smoothies are actually a great solution to BotW / TotK's unlimited food healing problem. They can just limit bottles like they did in the past.
@@BryanOrion-m5ia “fullness” meter would be a terrible solution. You shouldn’t be artificially punished for eating more low-level healing items. The punishment is that you have to use more of them. Princess Peach had her game she starred in. Now Princess Zelda will be playable to save the kingdom in this game. There have been many types of world threats in adventure games. Calamity, gloom, world ruling demons, despair, escape hazards like crumbling castles, and more. Can’t wait to buy Echoes of Wisdom!
Exactly there's no way there's NOT going to just be an OOB skip for everything in this, they've set this game up in such a way where its going to be so prone to breaking.
Speedruns are boring, I don't see the point to them. They spend so much time seeing every possible way to get to the end faster, trying out random glitches... for what? Imagine you're on a date with a girl and she's asking what you've been doing and you're like "I've been playing the same game for 8 hours a day for a month so I can beat the speedrun record!" You'd never see her again.
I just now noticed that the amount of Echoes in the overworld you can summon at once are all dictated by the amount of triangles Tri has in its tail... that's such a subtle but cute detail Edit: I went and rewatched the first trailer to compare changes, and realized that they already mentioned this before... ooooops 😅. Tri is cute though, shout out to little spheres gotta be one of my favorite types of Zelda companions.

Shadow enemies are coming out of the dark rifts, and Link was seen falling through the rift in the first trailer… I can easily predict the return of a certain fan-favorite foe.

@@thedarkdoggy That's doubtful, as the first trailer already showed Zelda exploring the world of the rifts (the scene where she obtains the water block echo).
Yeah! It's looking like echoes will be as dynamic and varied as the mechanics in the BotW/TotK games. Very excited to see what people end up doing with them!
"Let's give Zelda the most versatile ability of recreating any moderately sized object she can find." "Okay but she's not overpowered enough yet, let's also give her telekinesis!"
Not just that but how even casually there will be different ways to tackle obstacles. Will he very interesting to see how different people use the echoes and bind mechanics
Ah yes, they will make theories about how this one game will solve all plotline misteries. And after the release they will make rant videos about how aonuma didnt create a cutscene with hyrule's king explaining his tax policy
I'm thinking it's in the timeline with ALTTP and LA. Most likely has the same Link too. But I'm only saying that since the Link we see already seems experienced and battle ready. Could be a new Link that was literally at the end of his quest only to get folded by Ganon kind of like with BotW Link.
Ocarina of time… is about an ocarina that takes you through time. Tears of the kingdom… perfect name for the game, the symbolism, and you collect tears throughout the game. A link between worlds… link travels through different worlds, another perfect name. 4 swords, links awakening, wind water, Majorca mask… these all make sense 😂
This game looks absolutely adorable and it looks like something I'll enjoy. A tiny gremlin Zelda riding a tiny horse after leveling to Conjuration 100. Can't wait for September.
Yep and this kinda reminds me of the landlubbers and the breeze builder from Spyro 2 who were against each other.😊 Although I’m not sure if we’ll see a River Zora and a Sea Zora who are secretly lovers based off of Romeo and Juliet.
Whenever a new Zelda title is on the horizon, I find myself being just as excited for the music as I am the gameplay. I love picking up on all the old motifs and melodies, and what they did to make it new or different.
@@wyatttibbitts8603 was about to point that out! Guess since Link fell down into the rift he doesnt need Epona in the game, so Zelda has his and her own horse haha
@@Over_Toasted I think it'll be one of three things. 1. You "tame" a horse with that horse being the one that always comes and maybe one could be Epona! It would make sense as Epona would be left without a rider assuming she didn't fall in as well. 2. You get her from the same ammibo you did as BotW (really hoping for some fun amiibo echoes) Or 3. A random horse spawns every time and maybe has a chance of being Epona (Hopefully not this one)
Using the last 2d Zelda game in Hyrule, Link Between Worlds, as a base, they: - added Gerudo town - expanded the eastern waters to fit both the Sea and River Zora - moved Kakariko village to the foot of Death Mountain - added a new forest in the south to house the Deku (if Faron is where it is in totk)
Or maybe, just maybe, this is its own version of Hyrule and the similarities are there because most versions of Hyrule have similar landmarks and locations. Hyrule Castle is often in the center, Death Mountain is in the north, Lake Hylia is often in the south, there's always a Kakariko Village, etc. Seriously, compare Hyrule in ALTTP, OoT, TP, and BotW, they share a ton of landmarks and even general locations.
I like how BotW/TotK have contributed two more iconic landmarks to the Zelda lore: the Central Plateau and Faron Wetland Jungle. It used to be just Faron Woods but I think they want to separate the biome from Korok/Kokiri/Deku Forest a bit and give the Faron region it's own identity.
After all the forest locale holds a very special place in Zelda lore. OOT Link was raised there and it has been the resting place of the master sword in several games.
to be fair, this is not a 2D game. It's a 3D game, but with a top-down perspective and fixed camera. 2D games are games like the ones from the Super Mario Bros. series
Whoever does that, it's their own loss...but tbh, I can't remember seeing often that people just ignore the 2D titles, they're quite popular too. The only problem with 2D Zelda is/was, that we didn't get a lot (new) for 10-15 years.
I finished play through Majora's Mask all the way through for the first time recently. It warms my heart to see the Deku Tribe (and business scrubs) again!
Some people are annoyed that the over-world seemed to be based on LttP (which is fair) but this vid proves this is its OWN over-world and not just a rehash of LttP! And I love it!
I love this. I like how lore just keeps expanding and they've found a way to reconcile the two different aesthetics of Zoras. I love the ALttP aesthetic and characters.
@@liammccbyrne4184it has the art style of links awakening, but it clearly takes place in the world of link to the past/link between worlds based on the fight between link and ganon and some places in the map; maybe it’s an alternate timeline.
Gotta say this trailer feels like it'd fit right in as a mid direct overview of a game. It'd would go like "here's a more in-depth look at an upcoming game" and then this trailer would play.
@@lorettabes4553 Directs are usually just announcement bulletins. They usually only go in a bit more in-depth if time permits and the game is _that_ close to release. Considering Nintendo does their Directs in February, June, and September, this game getting a sort of overview trailer now means it likely won't be covered in September's Direct other than a brief mention that it releases soon.
“Those rocks may look delicious, but they’re not for Hylians” Link eats them just fine, as seen in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and with rock hard food in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Now for the humans reading this, probably not the best idea to eat rocks
It's really cool to see a horse finally appear in a top-down Zelda game for the first time since Four Swords Adventures on the GameCube, and the bind ability looks fantastic; I really like how it complements the echo ability.
Zelda has been let loose on Hyrule with all her new abilities, and no one can yet imagine the scope of creative chaos that will unfold. BotW/TotK Link over here going: "Atta girl! Now THAT'S my successor! :D"
@@picorrow This is what I figure, I mean, it's already a bit in the Morrowind context, a reference to old commercials, I can't remember exactly what for, but I'm assuming either cars or mobility scooters.
It’ll be an honor to have the land got introduced by Zelda herself. And this game really looks like a combination of TOTK, and Link’s Awakening remake. And I look forward to the theories on the time placement.
Yeah I would have to say downfall. I would like it if these were a zelda and link we had seen before but there is still plenty new so it's likely this is after link between worlds and Ganon is still weakened from his defeats. He did go down easily but that could have been some illusion and the cracks were his real plan.
It's almost certainly downfall for 3 reasons. 1. It's built entirely off of Link's awakening remake engine and Link's awakening itself is part of the downfall timeline. 2. The River and Ocean Zora both exist in the game game. River Zora are specifically from the Downfall timeline and the only other game to include both was "oracle of ages" which took place after Link's awakening. So this makes it very likely this game is part of the downfall timeline and somewhere after Link's awakening. 3. Ganon is in his blueish green skinned pig form which to my knowledge he's only taken in the downfall timeline. Of course it's also possible Nintendo has 100% given up on timeline adherance given BoTW and ToTK doesn't seem to really git anywhere in the timeline. But I'd like to think since those games were made as an experiment to dramatically remake the formula Nintendo just didn't bind them to the timeline to allow the devs to work freely. Meaning hopefully we'll still see games that properly slot into the timeline.
@@metazoxan2 I think the timeline is still in consideration for the two wild games especially with the amount of lore that was in tears we can confirm basically it was a second kingdom of hyrule. This does seem like the old one and now that I think about it. The Sheikah would have gotten the idea of more tech to try and remake the abilities zelda has in this game most the bond power as it has similar sound effect to some of the things the slate and links arm could do.

It may be silly, but smoothies are actually a great solution to BotW / TotK's unlimited food healing problem. They can just limit bottles like they did in the past.
It's always a good sign to see game dev companies still taking healing limits into consideration.
you may be the least expectant channel to see here lol
It’d be interesting if they also took a couple seconds to drink, so you’d have to find or build a safe space for yourself before you could heal up
AGreed - but all BotW / TotK had to do was add a "fullness meter"
@@BryanOrion-m5ia “fullness” meter would be a terrible solution. You shouldn’t be artificially punished for eating more low-level healing items. The punishment is that you have to use more of them. Any way of “replenishing” a fullness meter like visiting a bed or just waiting would make the game less fun and more cumbersome. We don’t need more forced waiting in Zelda.

I call downfall immediately. Map is similar to ALTTP(but not the same), and there's Ganon.
Yeah I would have to say downfall. I would like it if these were a zelda and link we had seen before but there is still plenty new so it's likely this is after link between worlds and Ganon is still weakened from his defeats. He did go down easily but that could have been some illusion and the cracks were his real plan.
@@psykat777 Ganondorf was supposed to be in the Oracle games.
And really, should we even care about it?
