@@exile9024 yeah I would definitely prefer wabbajack too, Vortex just frustrates me so damn much, and adding mods mid play through and so on is a hassle when using vortex.
easily one of my favorite modding channels i've discovered a couple months ago, you have good taste in mods and your editing is becoming higher quality with each video
Thank you so much for showcasing our mod! More To Say, Relationship Dialogue Overhaul, Honed Metal and Missives are a must-have in all my playthroughs!
RDO is old as dirt as far as Skyrim mods go, but the fact that it still makes lists talking about how to improve Skyrim is a testament to the quality of the mod. That said, it looks like it's time for another mod list rework when I have a computer with space for this game and its mods again.
I like this, it feels like an actual enchantment to the game rather than a replacement. Aside from having a certain aura of smugness, most mod channels that try turning Skyrim into a "true RPG" basically use so many unnecessary mods (that most players' systems won't be able to handle) to turn it into a completely different and unrecognizable game, however these mods feel like an extension/reimagining of Skyrim, as if the base game were simply rough ideas and these improvements are fully fleshed out products
Sidequests of Skyrim and The Notice Board are a couple of other radiant quest mods to go along with Missives. All three are 100% compatible, very configurable and give you quite a variety of quest types and questgivers.
@@frog6054 No. Completely separate mods with different types of quests. Even the quest types that overlap dont interfere with each other. The Notice Board quests are not localized by hold while Missives are so you can use The Notice Board as a reason to travel to a new hold and pick up Missive quests there for more local jobs.
I’m currently in the process of modding Skyrim using your mod list from earlier, so far so good, just recently finished installing all the JK’s interior mods and patches.
Requiem is a mod that overhauls most parts of the game. It’s a huge mod, so compatibility with other mods isn’t the best but I recommend checking it out. It does make Skyrim harder, but it isn’t a Hardcore mod. It makes Skyrim more dangerous, so it’s about preparation. The mod is basically an overhaul and makes it so enemies don’t level. Meaning you can’t go kill vampires and stuff at level 1, instead you need to improve your skills, level up and prepare for the fight. I don’t like hardcore mods, to me it feels pointless when hardcore modes just add 5x HP to enemies for example. This mod doesn’t give enemies more HP instead it actually balances the game
Try Gardden's Perk trees merged. It combines Ordinator, SPERG and Path of Sorcery, but leaves out Adamant and Vokrii. Trust me, it also has tons of perks and saves you 5 mod slots and does not force you into Mysticism. It's also a bit cleaner than Vokriinator I'd say. Also it has official patches which makes the block and power attack perks not obsolete if you use Valhalla and MCO.
If you are on Playstation like myself, a mod called Notice Boards is similar to Missives as it puts boards in towns and cities to receive side quests from.
Just discovered your channel, and I love the look of your game! I especially respect that your npcs are recognisable with just that vanilla +++ overhaul, and don't look like they've just come off the catwalk with their hair all blow-waved XD
Dude! Thank you so much for this video and series. I have been looking forever for the best Lore Friendly mod list that isn't just Vanilla+ but also goes over the top with new gameplay and graphics mods. I am very weary of certain mods straying to far from the vanilla feel which seems to be too common in most videos showcases/mod lists. Can't wait to install these mods and see what others you have to recommend in the next one!
Nice work on the video man! I've watched a few Skyrim mod-list and most of them cover the same mods over and over again, but this one was great! All very thought out and some I've even never heard of before!
Once I'm done with varying play throughs on my current classic enairim setup, I'll definitely give Vokriinator a shot, I'm a sucker for being able to create insanely specific characters
Love your videos man, been using regular Adamant on my current build but im starting my mods and load order all over again so i'll defintley use Vokrinator along with Mannaz n Freyr been wanting more variety to my game, thx ^^
I appreciate the Futhark representation. It’s such a nice race and stone overhaul pack and perfectly fits the Vanilla+ style but is sadly is incredibly slept on. I am using it along with Simonrim and I am super excited to see what the Growl and Sacrilege Futhark integration does.
I’d never heard of honed metal before but now it seems like something so obvious lol. My favorite alternative to skyshards is Perk Points and More Gold for Bounty Quests. It does what it says on the tin honestly, I think you can edit the amount you receive of each, but point is I like to expand on my skills more without needing to level so quickly and thus fast track through all the different monster variants and stuff. But at the same time I think it’s pretty balanced since instead of finding them you at least are still doing some sort of quest for the perk points. Ordinator also has the 20% and 50% more perk points plugins, which give you a second perk point every 5 or 2 levels respectively, there might be an equivalent plugin for the skill overhaul you mentioned. I agree with what you said like I think it really makes Skyrim more fleshed out to have more perk points, otherwise it’ll be a significant amount of time before you start branching out beyond the basic “do/resist more damage with x” perks, and so you can spend more of the game using the unique spells/skills you want vs. leveling up to be able to use them
A good complement or substitute to SkyShards is Ice Claw! It's similar : you have like 108 small blue mushrooms scattered around Skyrim and each time you eat one you increase permanently your carrying capacity by 2. It's not huge but it's something, and it's quite immersive - being discrete. But love all of that and will definitely try them out! Mannaz does feel a bit less immersive than Imperious though it does seem to bring in some of its features.
man im so glad i subbed to you recently alot of these mods i did know about but missives and skyshards are Definetly gonna be new additions especially since i play with a high xp cost to level and run ordinator.
Lol imagine you as an imperial in the heat of battle, then you offer one of the dudes 10 septims and he goes "Very well, we shall fight side by side as brothers!"
I'm impressed with the quality of the display, ie the background, interaction with environment and the bright coloration and clarity of the scenery. I'm a newby to Skyrim, been just trying to work through the leveling, weaponry, interaction with npc's and building a familarity with quests, what manipulating spells results in, etc. So, my question is where to for mods that will make my emersion in the game more enjoyable from a visual standpoint...I'll work on the other stuff later.
Me: Just finishing my load order with a sigh of relief Redshift1: here's a new video Me: deleting my load order😢😢😢 😅😅😅 great vid bro lol back to the drawing board
The sheer effort some of these mods have put into them and how much they change the the game does kinda regularly make me wonder "why not just make a new game at this point?" But then again I've seen 1 or 2 already do so and make some rather nice games
A simple question, what's your dialogue camera mod? Is there a preset for it to look like that or something? I've seen that a lot of modlists use Improved Conversation Camera or one of its forks but I can never get it to look like the one on @8:24 as an example.
These are freaking awesome, damn I wish there was a really rpg/story/companion oriented modlist with everything I would enjoy :D I suck at modding and the more mods I want to add the worse it gets :(
But if she compliments you when you wear expensive clothes it shows how superficial she is - which I think makes more sense, especially if you’re wearing the same clothes she is
From what I'm seeing from these mods; people want immersion and meaningful mechanics with actual depth, being built upon. Even having NPC interactions take hold as a center focused idea of going more in depth with characters.
My main priority would be revamping the item system. At the very least when you complete an epic quest and receive an epic legendary sword it's not ''deal 10 cold damage''.
I would also recommend classic classes and birthsigns. Brings back the old TES classes that made the game much more like a RPG as you could customize your character's prior experience/background to get bonuses independently from their race. Makes some (optional) changes to race too, such as carry weight, and the three main health/stamina/magicka attributes. Birthsigns and standing stones are also separated and can stack, which imo restores a missing element of TES lore to Skyrim
Not every mod makes a game better. Even if it claims so. Some mods that I recommend for better RPG experience and interactions with NPCs 1) Relationship dialogue overhaul 2) Immersive Speechcraft (don't forget to remove a helmet while talking to npcs) 3) Simply Knock for LE Skyrim (or Simpler Knock for SE/AE). 4) "Better Fast Travel Ships and Carriages". Or alternatively "Touring Carriages"
hope you enjoyed this
