Jet2: Friendly low fares, Exciting high flares
Nice
Walking off the plane to the pilot: "Hey Captain, did we land, or were we shot down?" 😅
Yeah that’s a hilarious one…. Funny thing is, sometimes we want to land firm, but people don’t know that, so they make stupid comments.
@@Spyke-lz2hl Sounds like you never got good at landings Spyke...😕 just you keep on trying lil'buddy.
@@Spyke-lz2hlsometimes you want to land firm? 🤣🤣🤣 that’s a funny joke.
@@fluchterschoen🤫, he thinks he has a good excuse for his hard landings. 😏
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 "Yes, we blew several tyres and broke the starboard strut - but it was mandatory destructive testing. Here's my address to send my final paycheck to".
That Malaysian airlines performed such a smooth landing😮😮
I love the shadow one 🛬😍
Hella smooth landing, too!
Me too..
One of a kind
Cool visuals.
First the Lufthansa 747-8 at LAX, now a Lufthansa 747-400 at YYZ 😂
Wonder if it's the same pilot. Looks like they still need training.
@@erinw6120 shut up
@@erinw6120Armchair captain back at it again I see
Consistency from Lufthansa
what0s happening to Lufthansa now? Sleeping pilots during flare or no one in the flight deck?
That Malaysia Airlines plane had a really smooth buttery landing
It’s called a “greaser”. Only UA-cam people call it “buttery”.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183you’re never going to win this battle 😂😂
@@MeppyMan I know. 🤣🤣🤣
Still entertaining though. 🙃
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 yeah, I didn’t figure that would stop you 😆. Fast forward 15 years all the young pilots will be saying “butter” and laughing at the older guys 😂
Lufthansa 747 (feat. Ryanair) strikes back
Beating up 747s is a no-no.
@@cris_261 the 747 is one of the best aircraft ever made.
0:59 Reliable, still flying, proper maintenance.
Was literally just thinking "I'd like a 3 minutes of Aviation video today" and saw you uploaded this a minute ago. Nice.
Lufthansa hired ryanair pilots I see
XD
Ok bot, you're hilarious
LOL😂 but so true😂😂
3 minutes of (surprisingly) accurate captions!
Fun to see an MD-80 reverse on its own. You rarely see that these days.
And shows how feeble thrust reversers are, could barely move the plane
@@pauldzim Certainly explains why that practice has not been standard for so many years. ^_^;
Lufthansa’s motto “runter kommen wir immer… irgendwie”
Ja wohl!
Bro actually gave us 3 minutes of aviation!
For me it was only 2:59
A pintura da Malaysia Airlines ficou linda.
That Malaysian Airlines landing: So smooooooth 🤣!
The first 747 looked like a perfect touchdown till the bounce. Seemed to get unstable in a hurry. The A350 looked like the pilot had somewhere to go so he hit a little firm to wake everyone up so they could exit the aircraft expeditiously.
I remember way back when MD-80s and 727s used reverse thrust instead of a pushback tug.. That A330 pilot didn't flare too early; he just forgot he was landing. Musta thought auto land was engaged.
Seen a rash of AB with hydraulic issues the last 2 months!
Shhhh! We’re not supposed to notice!
I was going to say the same thing ...
And Boeing has things falling off, and whistleblowers getting "suicided"....
Trains are crashing all over the US
Barges and ships hitting bridges.
It's almost like someone WANTS the transportation sector to fail!!
Oh my! Looks like Lufthansa is getting their pilots from the Ryanair flight academy! 😬😳
I love the shadow chasing one! So cool
Jet2 - friendly low flares
*Excellent*
*Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱*
Another excellent build and trimming flight Video, Thomas!
Such an inspiring subject for free flight modeling too. You didn't built a DT into it? Good luck, and a handshake !
Awesome 👌
Great video!
Nice video
The smoke of the first landing though 🔥🔥😁😁
Great video 📹 👍
Awesome! 😎👍
smoothest go around with touching the runway ever
Was thinking the same thing. Wonder if the 2nd was anywhere near as smooth?
I'm starting to think that pilots enjoy go-arounds
Never saw open landing gear doors until this year and now this must be the fourth one I've seen.
That's the internet catching up to reality, rather than reality having changed much over the last several decades.
This 747 side dive is the most beautiful image to see!
Amazing!!!!!!!!
Lufthansa and their landings...
Ryanair & Lufthansa 🤝 hard landings
That A220 landing was BUTTER
“Butter”….😂
In the real world of aviation, it’s called a greaser.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 greaser… butter… its all slick 🤙🏼
@@ThatFlyGuy353 “Butter” is UA-cam talk. You tell a pilot his landing was butter and he would laugh at you.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 funny considering I’m a pilot but you do you brother 😂
I love aviation
Real
same
I do love all of the animals and all of the airlines that are in the world
Nice
Bela aterragem do Malásia!
new sub thumbs up from dublin
The Ryanair pilot talking to the at the Lufthansa and Jet 2 Pilots why did you reject the landings? They look smoother than I normally do!
Delta landing was butter even with the shadow chasing.
Greaser. Nobody in aviation calls it butter.
That jet2 was BUTTER
That chasing shadow is way cool!
Very nice video! You were very fast with adding the A350 :) Very nice! Thanks :) But what's up with Lufthansa?? 😂They are smashing down all of their longhaulers 😂
They want to be like Ryanair xD
1:50 'Friendly low fares' and unfriendly high flares...
Looks like Lufthansa ID trying to take the 'hardest landings' crown from Ryanair
Long flare on the last one, protecting the doors?
I just logged my 10,000th Boeing 747 flight hour this morning!
Congrats!! 😁 🎉🎉🎉
@@ProPilotKo thanks!
woah whats with lufthansa and hard landings?
Literally 3 minutes of aviation
Can clearly see the Lufthansa
Pilot pitches down shortly after the flare, dangerous move! Evident what caused the bounce.
Imagine being the passenger on the first one that would be a landing of a lifetime
And damn I'm early 15 seconds ago
Lufthansa is becoming the new Ryanair 😳😳😳
D-ABVW/the hard 747 landing is live on Saturday may 25 2024 at 11:57AM on flightradar24
The Lufthansa 747 landing in Toronto, this must be the same crew that hard bounced the landing at KLAX a couple weeks ago (ex Ryanair captain LOL). The Astro Air ramp crew....their hearing must be gone for good after that. The Jet2 A330.....the legendary butter, even on a go-around!! Sometimes the butter isn't good for short runways, though.
I've flown on seven Ryanair trips and each time, had a smooth uneventful landing. For me, the hardest landings were Lufthansa, Delta and Aer Lingus.
Likely not the same crew 🙄.
And “butter” is not used in aviation, so it can’t be legendary. Why UA-cam people use “butter” is beyond me. Pilots use “greaser”.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 thanks....it was meant as a joke....and since I am not a pilot, I will keep calling it "butter", and you pilots will keep correcting me :)
@@kevindigo22 sorry, didn’t catch the joke in the first part. Not your fault, just that a lot of people have commented how it must be the same pilot who did this. 🤪
As to the “butter”, keep calling it that way, that way, we will meet again someday. 🙃
Said this on a video before, but the 747 landing looks like that landing that happened at LAX recently
I flew the 747 for 12 years, and I found it to be the easiest to land of all of the aircraft I've flown. The speed, stability and inertia make it a very stable platform. However, things happen!
SFO international airport always as the chasing shadows in the evening times
When you think your landing was so good that you do it twice, for 3 Minutes of Aviation... ;-)
My favorite notifications
The lufty A350 was at my airport😂
You are a rich man 😅
0:40 i also had that type of landing munich-clt idk why it landed so roughly almost fell out of my seat!
oh! oh! oh, its magic
@ 1:26 the shadow of the wingtip, makes it look like a very fast dog is chasing it.
I remember once a plane over shooting the runway a carrering onto a field at the end of that field was a house and the owner opened her curtains to see a plane hurtling toward her house it stopped a way off though I can't imagine what went through her head in that moment wake up call or what
Some serious crosswind there, as you look at the amount of "crab" as soon as the go-around gets off the ground.
That's great stuff.
No wonder he bounced, the speed limit is only 60 mph!
Did someone at Lufthansa delete “How to flare before touchdown” from their SOPs?
Maybe they try to flare just before the touchdown xD
May is "open gear doors" month. 🙂
Good morning folks, this is Captain Kangaroo, and I’ll be bouncing you down the runway today…
Just got off a 12 hour THY flight IST to MIA and it honed into my brain how much air travel is miserable and uncomfortable. Yet our BA flight from MIA to LHR was very comfortable and relaxing. Never more ThY...Never more.
Imagine if that was the gobby BigJetTV bloke watching that Lufty 747?!
I'm just surprised you didn't show that one of the very dirty wing; then again, we've all probably seen that one a half dozen times by now. 🤣🤣🤣
2:05 that is Pan-Am following them. 2:20 merger complete!
Mr Chiron va beaucoup plus vite qu'en Bugatti ! 😂
First clip was truly orgasmic for the observer.
Scary thumbnail
hardlandings and lafthansa seems to be a regular thing
What do you mean by flaring?
pitching the nose up before touchdown.
The floating Jet2 plane nosed down too early instead of reducing power, and thus, was carrying too much speed into the round out. During an approach, power controls sink rate and pitch controls speed. Good to know that even seasoned pilots screw that one up now and again.
That a350 hit the ground, no any input for flare😂
That Malaysia airline livery looks swanky.
0:13 I just booked a flight on Lufthansa because it's on my bucket list to fly in the upper deck of a 747. The equipment was listed as a 747-8. I was super excited. Three days later I get an email stating the equipment had changed to an Airbus. 👎 I'm so disappointed.
The first two used to be aircraft carrier pilots
2:37 "SHUT the Doors ! Do you think we're landing in a Barn!" 😂 (seriously Kids, Hydraulic failure is no joke!)
The crab on the go-around the first 747 had after that rough landing looks like maybe he caught some wind shear in a crosswind landing..??
No.
Lufthansa 747 pilots be making very hard landings recently...
Even in the flight simulator it behaves in a very similar manner
Why the double captions?
Just you.
oh!
📢 OH‼️
OH!
📢 OH‼️
Terrifying 😱😱
We received a 5 - 'Oh' rated attempted landing.
Wow Wow Wow Wow
Allalala, ces Nord-Américains, ils ont le sens du show
This little plane flared too early
And this little plane flared too late
But THIS little plane flared JUST RIGHT !
Has Lufthansa been hiring pilots from Ryanair or something?
I thought reverse thruster power back was not allowed..?
