About a half hour ago my flight landed after being turn back to the airport from where we’d taken off. The whole way back I just kept telling myself over and over, “Kelsey says these things can all fly with just one engine.” I was scared, all the passengers applauded when we landed, but it would have been worse for me if I weren’t subscribed to this channel. THANK YOU KELSEY!!!
I've been on an Easyjet flight thats done a missed approach twice in that direction and then landed at the third attempt from the opposite (Cannes) direction. Was scary at the time, but some great views of the Promenade Des Anglais from the right hand side.
I've been subbed for a while now, few years at least, and I just have to say thank you! Thank you for not falling into the UA-cam trap of making fake or misleading thumbnails, or leaving the clip from the thumbnail until the very end. I always enjoy every video you make for the sole fact that what you put in the thumbnail is the very first clip, no waiting for 15 mins of story time to get to the part of the video that is the whole reason I clicked in the first place! And now, we get a video 5x longer than usual and every minute is worth watching too! Not sure if you celebrate it, but this was certainly a great early Christmas gift for me! Thanks again and keep up the amazing work! Also, that head shake from the seaplane pilot says it all! Haha
The A380 go-around in Hamburg was actually performed at the Airbus plant airfield. Presumably only an acceptance flight maneuvre. However, nice videos!
Thank you for the written comments instead of spoken comments, it is soo much nicer to watch these kind of video's and saying "PLEASE" to subscribe. You deserve more subscribers and I am now one of them. Good job!
At 11:08 the water bomber is a Canadian CL 415. Worth more every year as forest fires are so damaging and older ones get worn out. A newer model is likely in a few years.
damn i thought it's just another 3 minutes, until the second advert plays... but then, it still feels incredible to re-watch this incredible recap, including this 4:14 beautiful landing, that's just like landing on clouds... 😍
Are you serious? You don't care about the stories, the people that fly these things, the technology, behind the scenes moments, or any of the innovation in aviation? NASA just built a quieter, faster-than-sound plane to replace the Concorde but no, you'd rather just watch them land and takeoff.
Im a layman and dont know how correct the captions are or not, but when running a channel such as this, its very important that the info presented is accurate
5:50 That was a pretty radical piece of crabbing for a large aircraft like that, would love to see footage from inside the cockpit with the pilots looking over their shoulders for a view of the runway.
Some of these situations were VERY sketchy...!!! But yet again we owe our lives to these pilots some of them actually the MAJORITY of them are amazingly skilled.
This is my first time. That iam commenting, Great series as always. I wanted to ask you that the Bhutan flight was it borrowed by Josh Cahill the youtuber? Or was it from a tram member from yours idea. Thank you for amazing videos like these.❤
Not exactly. On landing a plane follows a _glide slope_ that is normally inclined at 3°. These four red (as appear from the ground level) lights beside a runway is PAPI that should look "two red, two white" when a plane is on the glideslope.

@threeminutesofaviation. I wish I could give you five “Likes” for these 15 minutes. Your selections were fantastic! Wishing you another great year of showing us the best examples. Peace.
This *WAS* a fantastic collection! It's a wonder they weren't talking about X number of souls being dead when it came to some of these vids. How awe inspiring any kind of flight is {whatever planes or space flight}, always brings me to tears to think that us idiot humans were actually able to invent such things. Thank you to the brave pioneers who weren't idiots, Orville & Wilbur Wright. 👏💯🛫🛩🛬🪂🛸🚀✈🏳🌈✈🎄🌠🌹🍁
That KLM landing was the smoothest butter, and the caption 😂. Thanks for a great year of videos!
“Butter”🤦♂️😂
@@PN_48what
@@PN_48 I commented a couple of minutes ago: like whipped cream. A great caption agreed. You have a great day:-)
The way he kept the nose up, it wouldn't surprise me to learn the pilot is an ex military fighter pilot.
nobody felt this landing, for sure 😂
I was 9 minutes in when I realized this was the longest 3 minutes of my life.
Me too! I was thinking to myself, these videos usually go by so quickly, what the heck is going on??! 😂
Same here! I checked at about the 9 min point wondering why 3 minutes seemed so long haha!
Haha! Same!
😂

I always think your videos end too soon. This one was no different 🙂 Thank you for the 15 mins !
Took me 15 min to watch this 3 min of aviation. Is this the ultimate proof of time-dilation?
Brilliant. 15 minutes of 3 minutes of aviation.
Thank you for a great year of content.

One of the most underrated channels on UA-cam. LOVE the format. Keep doing what you're doing.
Much appreciated!
KLM 12:25 that was BUTTER!!!! AWESOME!!!!
TRUEEEEE
This SHOULD be on top.
Great visuals. It shows what pilots have to deal with on a daily basis.
That was an epic best-of collage! :) Thanks for 2023's clips. I'm looking forward to 2024's.
Thank you a lot for all this aviation content😊
It has been a great year having your channel as my lunch time companion! Thank you
Ryansucre definitely deserve their own "Best of 2023" compilation. :)
Congratulations on the year, many amazing videos.
Totally normal approach into Nice. But still really entertaining, as always, keep them coming!!
Absolutely, the Cours Saleya approach is a fun ride in. I've seen the big Delta jet (767 from JFK) take lower approaches than that into Nice.

Right, this is the first time I have seen 15 mins. I love this channel.
Like 2 hour dry cleaners... just a name
Just for clarification, the USAF foes not fly then FA/18. The USN does as well as the USMC.
@5:58....That 380 landing was gracious...even the Big Boys get pushed around by the Wind
Big Boy locomotive be like: "What kind of _wind_ would be that?!". ;)
Even the big boys? They surely get pushed more than smaller planes due tto there big body and big rudder
2:20 "How fast is the V1 on that baby?"
Pilot: "Yes"

ITA Airbus 330-200 landing.
What a greaser!
And the KLM one. Top grade as well.
5 episodes in one! Yes!
Really enjoyed this video 15 mins of awesomeness!!!❤
I like the 787 lightning strike and the sound of an old- timey car horn
Why did the pilot lift his hands? Any safety reason or just expressing surprise? Also, what's that honking?
@@drScorp1on It was probably the pilot saying something like "fuck!" and getting censored.
Love the channel. Live here in Miami, and as a kid used to watch the airplanes (in the 60's and 70's) land at MIA. Still do on occasion.
Nice video! Loved the clips!
Also any plans for a discord server?
So confusing... I'm so used to the 3 minute video length that at 3:30 I felt something was wrong and had to check!
