I dance 11 songs everyday and I use an smartwatch to count the calories lost, I normally lose 50 to 70 in each song, in the end I can lose 600 kcal in 40 minutes! It is really helping me to lose weight and I have fun at the same time !
@@Violett4411 it it just what my smart watch shows me, I don't know if it is really accurate, but I put effort when I dance, and the choreographys of the songs I choose put me to really move my body, and I try to don't stop between songs too

Just Dance with the controller is good, but back remember when we had like Just Dance with the Kinect? Now THAT punished you if you didn't move your body!
With any other platform you can just move the controller like a moron and the game will give you a perfect score. That's what i loved about the kinect that it forced and encouraged you to do the movements correctly or you would lose points.
@@froppyp6175 kinect if I am not wrong is for xbox . It is a camera that detects your movements with area scan (it scans the area with litle green or red dots so it does scan your entire body... is similar to the ps4 camera just dance just better and even more precise).
Please do not sleep on just dance, i am 16 years old and weighing around 15st due to my PCOS. I was very unfit until i started the game i have noticed i lost alot of weight ;D
I personally play this with a kinetic sensor. And when I use it I feel like I’m actually dancing properly. It is also much better than the smartphone option as it is way more accurate in my opinion (I could be wrong lol) I had zero eye-hand Coordination but I improved my dance massively. I wasn’t convinced I could dance at all even after having megastars but than my sister took a recording of me secretly while I was dancing and I was in tears; my dance was almost exactly like the instructions it was unbelievable. Truly a life changing game for me. I lost a loooot of weight too. Also this is the only type of workout I can do for more than an hour straight without wanting to give up. So I highly recommend. After about a month or so u will definitely be shocked by your dancing, stamina etc
I bought this game after watching a couple of your switch exercising game vids! I have ringfit adventure already but you really explained that game and this game well. I’m just getting into working out and I hate cardio a lot, because I’m thinking about how much I hate running when I run. This is such a fun way of getting cardio in and I did about 50 mins today and burnt about 360 kcals!! Without really noticing how hard I was working! Great game and great content. Like realllly sweating, so I put on my watch and I was so surprised by how many calories I burned!! I ended up burning around 360 calories in 50 minutes but I also didn’t really want to stop, I think because of the break between songs even when using a playlist. It’s very fun and I’m definitely going to play as a workout more often!
I have to agree the choreo can get very hard. I personally love dancing and by dancing the song enough times I can catch the choreo but for the regular joe it’s intimidating and embarrassing and frustrating not getting the super and perfects
Highly recommend JD 2014 above the others for those looking to get a workout with one Just Dance game. Some Just Dance games lack dances that aren't too intense, but 2014 is NOT one of them.
@@MasterTrainerPeter Sweet! Capturing can be a bit tricky, since the aspect ratio is a half a screen. But channels like VR Oasis have guides for capturing in headset. Usually a side by side format works well. You can even stream to a browser and capture that way now which is great for VR Devs.
Playing on the Xbox version is much more intense as it features full body tracking and you need to mimicking the coaches body in full, unlike the switch which just needs a controller. I'd say its much harder to get lazy in the xbox version.
I lost 3 kilos in a week with routine 1 hour jog , 20 min just dance sessions x twice a day , whole on a vegan balanced diet without oil, sugar or salts. But I think it depends on the body type and other factors too I guess, but it will plateau after sometime as well I guess. The first time I tried it straight for 3 days straight, I was in a lot of pain and extremely tired, then I had to take 2 days off the routine, then start counting again. Best tip is it you're a beginner - take it slow and easy, when it comes to games, my gamer switch flips 😂, better start out with 10 min session
Caloric deficit is how that would have worked, make sure you're still getting your micronutrients if you're cutting out salts :) Its a fun session! Thanks for sharing your experience!

I've really been considering getting an old Wii from my local CEX to play just dance games to help get my NEAT up - I put on some weight after some health issues a few years ago and it seems like a really casual fun way to get some extra movement into the day alongside a balanced diet and the gym
It's based on one hand which is great because I'm not a good dancer but I try to match the movements as best as I can. Thankful that the game is a bit forgiving with that. I know with the xbox you can use the camera and it tracks your body and scores for that as well. I think Just Dance can be a good workout especially if you choose to go on the world dance floor. You don't have to worry about what song to choose and can be a bit competitive with other people and yourself. I really enjoyed your review and felt that it covered a lot about this game. I haven't played Just Dance in a while been occupied with other workouts and fitness boxing 2 or RingFit Adventure. I plan to get back into Just Dance eventually just not sure when but it is great fun. I also liked how you included the benefits of dancing.

If you want to go up and down and up and down, check out “where have you been” by Rihanna on Just dance 2014. I’ve been playing that song for years and one of the few I’ve achieved platinum 😅. It’s really fun and each time I’m finished I’m practically drenched haha. I’ve been trying to lose about 20 pounds to feel more confident and I forgot about just dance for a long time until recently and I really want to implement it into my routine. All I have to do is get a fitness watch. My Wii is kinda on the way out and I don’t know how accurate the calorie counter is 😅. I love to dance and I should have implemented this sooner!

When I was born I was very fat, but my dad bough me my first just dance game when I was 7 and since then I’ve became literally the skinniest girl in my entire class because I’d play it every single day lol. But when I stopped playing it, I’ve started to get fatter. I guess I’ll start to play it again xddd
The weight loss and gain will be to do with your caloric intake, but the motivation and fun and cardiovascular benefits from Just Dance are going to be excellent! Get back to boogieing!
I'm super curious about the Zumba Burn it Up - I do own it (as I've said in the Discord), but find that the motion tracking is... hit/miss. But - that's probably because I'm a n00b Zumba person. I'm hoping to use it as a cardio to swap out with Fitness Boxing on occasion. I managed to get my copy for $6 CAD - so I'm not too worried about value :D

Depends on your fitness level, but a good 30 minutes of cardio is a great place to start/aim for at first! Best time of day...that all depends on your schedule! And if you're in an apartment or not 😅

Nahhhhhh I suck at dancing! It is fun, so if you find it cheap and wanna try something different, consider it!
I can do like 5 minutes on an elliptical with no distraction...but I can go and go if I'm watching tv
