I was going to use some of my points to get an extra of the gouache box but the coupons points generate don't apply to shipping so if I went through with it I would waste half the value 🙄 guess I'll hold onto the coupon I redeemed for now and grab the first future "past box" that catches my eye.
I have been subscribing to scrawlrbox for about 2 years. I love it! Is like getting a thoughtful gift from a friend every month. I love the design, the selection, the small pads of miscellaneous paper, the useful paintbrushes, and I especially look forward to the unusual candy. I’m glad I watched your video because somehow I missed the double ended eraser... I must have been too busy that month to try everything. As soon as I have finished writing this comment I’m going to look for it! Thanks for the recap!
I personally have the Smart art box and it is definitely more for crafting than traditional art, but I personally really like it. Even though two of the ten projects were really not to my liking and I donated it to a local community centre I never got an item twice in ten boxes and it is very well put together and the instructional booklet is extremely well put together and easy to understand even if English is not your first language and the one time an item was missing I got send a replacement immediately. The only negative is that shipping to Europe takes extremely long from middle until end of the month.
Yeah, shipping is the primary reason I don't get SmartArt outside of some of the special runs. Shipping takes longer than you'd think to Canada and the import fees drive the price way up.
I have been working as an artist/designer for 30 years (Yes, I'm ooooold!) and I love these boxes. Many times they have materials that I've never used or even heard of since I live in the middle of nowhere. Add that british VAT is way lover than in my country as well as the prices for artist materials and it's a done deal. The things I don't like or use I give to a niece who is very gifted.
different type of glue over here?? glue isnt glue?? Scrawlrbox makes sense to get if you live over here, even if sometimes i question the prices they put on things
The prices they put on the cards match up with the RRP Jackson's lists (before they then give their actual sale price) when you can find them on their site. RRP is what the manufacturer thinks they should sell for. Pretty much all liquid school/craft glue in North America is PVA glue. Much thinner than what was in that Stick It tube.
I never noticed any difference in glue, I'm going to have to pay more attention now though lol (don't think the glue I've used here was any different from the glue I used in ontario/alberta, but that was a while ago, I'm really going to have to pay more attention, for some reason this has got me thinking too much about glue lol) I think I think the prices are a tad high is either due to getting stuff from the uni art store or refusing to pay RRP on something lol

Another great round down of a year of Scrawlrbox. I never tried them but due to your heads up on their sake, I got two boxes. :)
Awesome! I smell an unboxing video coming...
This was really helpful as a format.
I'm glad 😊
I love this video breakdown! So helpful. I’d love to a video on Art Snacks someday.
I'd love to see one done with ArtSnacks!

One other positive thing is that people of all ages is enjoying the service. 😎👌
Very informative indeed 👍 merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
This is a cool idea to pile up a year's worth of subscription box like this.
Thanks 😊 Last year's ended up being quite popular, so I figured why not do it again. I didn't do the calculations last time, though.
Love this vid I never tried Scrawlrboxes before but it seems nice to get maybe just to try thanks for the review
You're welcome!
Way too expensive. $43 per box in Australia on a 12 month subscription.
Ouch, I wouldn't pay that! I agree, that's too expensive in your market.

Lol, for sure, I refuse to pay the RRP too.

Hey it stayed for once! I've been complaining to UA-cam about it.
