  • The Rosy Bourke is a wonderful sweet bird. Lower in noise level to most similar birds their size makes them a great bird to keep in an apartment.

    I have a very serious lung disease, but can't live without a bird, so I have a Bourke Parakeet. I'm home 24/7 and his cage is about 1 foot away from where I sit at my desk all day, and I leave his door open. I hope that, in time, he will bond with me.

    As someone who has a rosy your birds are SO awesome! Clover (my bird) is my rosy she has pink,Grey,blue,white,black,and just the very tips of her wings are a light green like a full on green not agreen yellow,anyway to answer your question about the dust they are very dusty from my experience with clover,she's 1 year. Another thing you should probably warn people about is they dig in their bedding so if you do get a rosy you'd have to sweep up the cage 2 times a day! They are also kinda floor birds clover is happier on the round running around then up high anyway have an awesome day and your birds are cute! Wish I could adopt but I have 5 birds of my own currently (2 Parrottlets,clover and 2 finches!

    Beautiful birds. I have eight of them.I won't be satisfied till I have a dozen more. I love waking up to them with their songs and chirping.. I let them out everyday in a large room just for them. They return to their cages on their own ever evening. They sing again around nine o'clock before bed time. Awesome bird!!!

    So pretty babies 😍
    Wish there was more of these type of birds in Norway. Not in stores, but serious breeders. They are overlooked in stores, poor things sitting there for a long time. I would love some who know stepping up as young, because they seem hard to tame as older.
    Little worried they like floors, because of dogs.

      Yup my bird clover (she's a rosy like the ones in the video) loves sitting on the floor by my bed she'll jump off the bed and sit there so I don't make her! Another thing they will do if they can hop up onto your shelf if you have one the is like a bookcase they will go in there clover is sitting in the bottom of my shelf while I Wright this

    The bird you called a Lutino is not. It is an Opaline Fallow ... Lutino's are bright yellow, much more than that one. Otherwise, an accurate video about my favorite variety of small exotic bird.

      Alyssa Snyder they go on toilet all the time every where ! No you need have 2 ! a Per ! They Bond for life ! They cant live alone ! Because thats not natural for Them ! They need a BIG cage voliere , because this bird are not good in a small cage , Like a budgie ! They age up to 15 years old !

      I have just 1, but I work from home, and take her with me everywhere. She is bonded to me. Still, it is supposed to be better to have 2, especially if you are not home all the time. They do poop everywhere all the time, because they do not have a sphincter to stop it. This allows them to be lighter for flight. Their poop isn't like that of wild birds. I am generally able to touch the poop and have it stick to my finger so I can get it off whatever surface it landed on. It is small poop as well. Often you may find it around the house dried up and not realize it was there until long after the deed was done!

      @izar9623 3 роки тому

      So no they live 10 to 12 !YEARS! If you get this bird you need to think will you be with it most if not all of the time if not get 2 if it's a yes you can go with one my Rosy clover lives with just herself and she's very happy. They also love running around on the ground so be careful they can live in a big cage with other birds. They love to dig and chirp there Chrip can be VERY loud so maybe an apartment bird but not really

    Hi I just got a little Buorke I was told he's 5 months and had still been housed with his parents until now. I noticed that when I turned off the lights he climbed down to the bottom of the cage and settled down to sleep. Never had a bird do this but have never had one this young. I was wondering if this was normal?

    Hello I need help!
    So recently I got a budgie from a pet shop near me it’s three months old and is on a seed diet and I can’t tame it because he only know seed as food I have try to use millet and he just run away and my cage is one the small side so I want him out a lot btw I am try to get him off a seed diet if anyone knows please tell me
    Thanks.

    • @Practicallypreposterous
      @Practicallypreposterous 3 роки тому

      Try mixing their usual seed food with your intended diet, then slowly decrease the percentage of seeds in their food. A more gradual transition is more likely to work, and your bird will come to associate their new food with the food they prefer (seeds)

    Hi! I'd consider adopting one bird. Do you ship them? I'd pay for the shipping, of course.

    • @sjsisjsjks
      @sjsisjsjks 3 роки тому

      Like other parrots they should always have company of their own species. It isn't natural for them to be alone.

    • @izar9623
      @izar9623 3 роки тому

      @@sjsisjsjks actually my bird clover she's a rosy does fine on her own better actually however she's out for a sold 14 hours a day like when I'm chilling or working on a project for school she'll just do her thing. Now she isn't totally alone she has my boys (they're parrotlets that are "twins" from the same clutch) to keep her company but she doesn't really like other birds even my 2 finches. In my opinion I think you should only get one if you want it to bond to you or someone else!

    Why do Yanks insist on calling them Bork parakeets? It's pronounced Burke. It's an old Irish name where the 'o' is silent.

    And its lutino, not latino, and that bird looks like a fallow rather than lutino
