Bourke’s are very popular caged and aviary birds due to their sweet, gentle manner; also, they are quite easy to hand rear and tame. They have been selectively bred to produce different color variations with the rosy or rosey type being the most popular. Thank you for posting on this beautiful psittacine and for showing both the magnificence and cruelty of nature.

Don't say where you film these exactly please m8 as unfortunately to many scumbags try to put them in a cage or God forbid smuggle them out of Australia killing many in the process.

Do you ever call your local wildlife rescue service like wires if you see any desperately ill animals or birds?

You can keep her givevher some attention and same things to play with, swing , natural wood sticks to sit on. They're very sweet birds, bit shy . Leave the radio or tv on if you leave. Mine loves to watch Winnie the Pooh 😀

Ideally, they should be kept in pairs or groups in an aviary. That's how we keep ours. They need to fly and need their own kind for companionship.
