Hi there! I am Joseph.
I have been an immigrant / expat living in central Portugal along with my beautiful girlfriend Mariana for seven years now.
Together Mariana, my father Clinton and myself, would like to show you a bit of the daily goings on around our Portuguese farm / homestead / smallholding and all of the work we are doing whilst renovating, starting building projects, working with our livestock, DIY and trying to grow our little families own food!
See our journey to self-sufficiency / permaculture / organic farming living in Portugal, trying to produce as much of our own food planting vegetables, growing fruit trees as well as looking after all our animals, such as our chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, quail, rabbits and sheep - Shortly pigs too!

Super video Joseph. Wow what a great deal with this property - a real turn key business. So soo sorry about dad fracturing his ankle. I have spoken to him and told him to try look on the bright side as it could have been a heck of a lot worse. Now he has to take it easy! Love to all and speedy recovery to dad❤

That farm was amazing. It's well worth the price that is asked. The water sources, plus solar and location, and the annual income, outstanding. Praying for your dad to heal with his ankle. It must have been a bit scary with surgery. Your mom's going to need a lot of patients to get your dad to rest. Aging is not always fun.
The house in almost unusable, no family room, just kitchen & bedrooms, also that Killer stairway 😳😳. its not worth $350k Euros.

Get well soon Joseph’s dad! 💕 It would be great if you could do an episode where you show the map of Portugal and show us where you are (basically ) and other areas in relation to these areas so we get a better picture of where we’d be in relation to the area you’re in. Also we’re looking at agents videos of farms for sale but we have no idea where these places are. The areas you have been showing us seems to me some of the best areas for making a move to. Hope you can get a chance for that type of video sometime 😊⭐️🌸

Hi Joseph, Sorry to hear about your dad's fall, nice place to put his feet up to aid a speedy recovery, we were at a dog show with one off our Estrela's in sept 2018 in a lovely village called Alpedrinha,We stayed for ten days in all and drove back over the Estrela Mountains, An amazing part off the world. From my point of view for my needs, probably the best property you have shown to date. House needs a little work but the land makes up for it. It just comes on the market 1 year or so before I am ready.

I absolutely love this property, it’s a little out of my price range which is a shame. But it’s worth it.
THis is a wonderful farm. The house might need some decorating, but is very manageable. The infrastructure is all well maintained, all there to hit the ground running. How much of the farm and wine making equipment is staying?

Nice video . Sorry about your dad injury. Let him take extra vitamin C and boron, d3 and vit K2/mk7 combo since it is winter and sun is not good enough for D3 production for fast recovery. There is a liposomal C which is most effective and do not be shy with dosage and frequency . I take at least 5 gr of liposomal or about if sick or about 10-25gr of regular C with some baking soda to balance acidity if take regular with nice glass of water. Good luck to him.

Congratulations on creating a great channel. Your content is so helpful especially to us, my wife and I, because it is our dream and intention of retiring and farming in Portugal on a farm like yours...maybe a bit smaller. I saw your video about the cherry farm that was 190,000 euro and loved the idea of letting the farm supplement our retirement income and would love to visit, meet you guys and see what the possibilities are. If you are open to the idea of learning more about us please let me know. Briefly, I am a retired contemporary music concert pianist and my wife is about to retire from her sales gig in Feb. We both grew up on farms but lived most our our lives in the Myrtle Beach area and I have many references for us both as you might need. Anyway, I know you are busy with the cherries! Be well and have fun. I hope to talk with you soon if you'll consider it. We are very serious about coming there as soon as possible to spend at least a mo9nth and maybe more to start our Portugal journey. I was thinking similar: lots of work for one person to manage by themselves, but 2 could handle all but the most intensive busy times (olives and grapes) if they enjoyed working while the sun shined each day. Add a few chickens for eggs and meat, and maybe a few fish thanks to extra solar energy and the available water.

Além de tantas Recordações venho do Mundo das cerejas e castanhas Nasci Na ilha da Madeira jardim da serra , de parti com apenas 13 anos junto com minha mãe e irmães Para a África do Sul , se juntar com meu pai que já se encontrava lá a uns 6 anos , Adorei ver esse campo de cerejas 🍒 tantas que apanhei junto com os meus Avós foi uma Alegria inidplicavel também tínhamos uvas pêros ameixas pêras limoeiros gostei de ver essas varedad e paredes de pedra tudo muito Português a casa muito linda construção firma e bem feita, essas passaradas de Marme 😮os turreiros é uma Maravilha , boa sorte do comprador e pena que os familiares não querem continuar .Muito agradecida a você Sr José por estas imagem 🙏🍒

Absolutely perfect! I would emigrate and spend my life there. I'm available to do so, as well. I don't see how I could pull it off, mind you. I think I do have 20% though, in American cash. Just cant see it materializing:) Perhaps wrongly so, but... Peace

Many different ones to take advantage of the whole season, some terraces are earlies, some mids and some lates! 😊
