  • You will notice that this channel is re-branded as Mastering OCD Channel (previously OCD Whisperer Podcast). You will also notice mistakes in this video and with Perfectionism OCD I chose to leave it as is as my own ERP.
This channel focuses on day to day experiences, experience from my clinical practice, and generally living with OCD.
    In this video I explain:
    1. What is healthy avoidance?
    2. What is OCD avoidance?

I wasn't aware i had ocd until i went through a traumatic event, ptsd only made my ocd to expand exponentially with new thoughts, obsessions, and guilt. I didn't know, and it caught me off guard, so if you struggle, my advice is to do the proper therapy

I am working on overcoming avoidance from childhood traumas. From witnessing domestic violence to -> kid with sensitive nervous system to -> later seing small events such as death of others or blind faith programming /horror movie programming to => avoidance of un-harmful things. This is how many develops OCD, anxiety, depression starting from an unhealthy childhood to worry about irrational things. Good news is OCD or irrational avoidance can be cured because brain and nervous system damage can be reversed as these only occurred due to a non-nurturing childhood. It's gonna take some time.
