Volpe should hit lead off and move Torres down to the 5th spot. Let Torres hit for power. Volpe is the quintessential lead off hitter. He hits for avg, he makes pitchers work, and he has speed on the bases.
I feel like we’re forgetting how much of a factor Schmidt can do in the bullpen if Cole gets back and we do have to move one, the thing is Cortes always gives up runs right away then adjusts, Schmidt has a good few innings then falls a bit which can have him as a long reliever
Derek, Volpe reminds me of of Jeter, in the sense that Jeter took most of his hits to right field. Jeter never try to pull the outside pitches like Volpe was trying to do last season. I have a feeling that Volpe is going to have a solid season with big numbers.
I could see Gil being sent down to AAA at some point over the summer and we all get really upset over it and say, "How can you do that?" but it's just in an effort to make sure that he saves some innings for the post season.
JDom will be in center with judge in LF and soto in RF with one or the other between judge and soto rotating the DH with stanton. Which seems like no spot for verdugo and def not grisham
If Stanton somehow manages to stay effective until Dominguez gets back, there's nothing to say Verdugo doesn't get moved at the deadline. I think the more likely scenario is Stanton has a couple nights like the last two every once in a while, puts up a good power output, but is still hitting just above the Mendoza line the rest of the way, and we'll still run him out there because the sporadic home runs are fun to watch land on Jupiter.
Give the kid 600 at bats. A full season then we can see if he was meant to wear the pinstripes. Love his energy and legs needs to work on his fielding but he will get better with time.

I am also concerned about the starters. Rodon, Cortes and Schmidt all have a WHIP of 1.7 which is pretty high.
