A lot of these complaints can be resolved if people just realize the season is just starting, and hitters and pitchers are just getting their kinks out. May is when most players come into their own.
Personally I think that the pitch clock is stupid and the delay in game action was more caused by hitters constantly stepping out of the box and calling time than the pitchers taking too long to throw. Nomar was the perfect example of this.
Derek! You Da Man! MLB has a pitch clock problem! They should extend it by 5-8 seconds. That in-between rest is crucial to pitchers! Especially older pitchers!

I prefer finesse to power with pitchers. Everyone who wants to pitch for power ends up tearing their ucl and needing tommy john. Maddux was one of the greatest of all time and was not even remotely close to a power pitcher. he pitched and dominated with finesse and, most importantly, stayed healthy and active in the rotation!
These incompetent conditioning coaches are destroying the Yankees everyday players and pitchers. A truly modern set of, 'State Of The Art' experts should be deciding what players should and shouldn't be doing in their exercise regimen.
I'm sure the causes have been discussed to death, so here's a question. If there was a Maddux type pitcher in the minors today, would he get overlooked because he doesn't throw hard?
I hope MLB stops the use of the clock. Big-time pitchers are getting hurt. Please stop defending Boone. He can't coach. The Yankees are in first place because of the Yankees, not because of Boone. They did the same thing with Girardi, who also couldn't coach. The Yankees saved him from being fired by winning a championship. Move Torres out of the leadoff spot. Put him in the 7th or 8th Spot. I don't care who replaces him . Get him out. Management needs to go out & get Bauer. Cole & Bauer need to grow up & get along. This is for a championship.
Not defending Boone - just not assigning total blame to him when the front office builds the roster. Boone wasn't the one who stacked the roster with right-handed hitters for the last few years. Re: Bauer - I Bauer's MLB career is over it seems. MLB teams clearly don't want the headache.

But there has been plenty of situations where we need to move the runners over to 3rd base on crucial situations & he has decided to let this hitters swing instead of bunting them over & putting the pressure on the opposing pitcher. This is baseball 101. It's not rocket science. He constantly moves the lineup around way too much. He babies the starting pitcher. He is not confident in any pitcher to work themselves out of trouble. He puts too much strain on the relievers. He is a master of panic. Boone should not be the coach. I appreciate your feedback & keep up the great work. Lets Go Yankees
