    I want to thank you so much for this video. I was having nothing but problems trying to spray paint my cups. Constantly getting wrinkles and bubbles, so frustrating. Then I tried your technique and it went on perfectly no problems. Thank you soo much.

    Thank you for that wonderful tip all this time I was using my wrist. And I didn't know about turning the spray can to stop it from clogging up so much paint wasted.

    I have a couple questions. Where do you spray your tumblers in the winter? Would the cold air outside affect it? Also, all that overspray, doesn’t it get on your skin and clothes? I wish I had a spray booth to catch and filter all that overspray.

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  4 роки тому +1

      I will run outside, spray and run back in. I wear old clothing or clothes specific for working in. I try to prep tumblers only on good weather days. I'm working on a plan for a spray booth with ventilation in my garage. But that is still awhile away.

    Your video helped a lot. I noticed the first layer you did solid spray, the next you did short burst. How do you determine when to do what? I apologize if you said it in the video, im watching this while our tv is on lol.

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  4 роки тому +2

      You can do it either way. I was showing how you can do it both. If you have a gloss paint or want to blend colours, I find the short bursts are easier. They also use less paint. But it can get tiring if you're doing a lot.

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  2 роки тому

      Any textured tumbler will work. Even an opaque glitter will cover most drips.

    I tried an N95 mask and a total face covering (I could see through) and broke out on my arm, face, eyes, and ears. So getting a respirator may be the solution for using epoxy resin. THanks. Very good video.

    I wish I had watched this video before I wasted a whole can of copper spray color. It was dripping and running as soon as I started I I wiped with a cloth to get rid of it but that made it worst plus had 3 piece to spray with one can paint so it was not enough ..I didn't wait to dry between coats. I may have to sand the bad parts and get a new can to respray and do as you suggested in the video. Bummer!1😕 Thank you a million

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  Рік тому

      Oh no! I find metallics are more likely to run that non metallics as well. Especially when they don't have a built in primer. Make sure you use a primer first and definitely take your time with it. Light coats are going to be your friend.

    Are u aloud to use regular spray paint and also are u aloud to wash it without messing up the paint

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  3 роки тому +1

      Your base paint should always have at the very least a built in primer. After the paint is dry, you can wash it if you need to with mild soap and water. Just don't use anything abrasive and be careful not to scratch it. It will be easy to scratch without the sealer. You will need the epoxy sealer to make it safe for incidental contact with food.

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  Рік тому

      It depends. You can try Samsung with a fine grit sandpaper, clean and spray again. If I need it to be completely and perfectly smooth though I clean with acetone and start again. Sometimes I will just use that blank for another project that I will be making with texture that will cover the drip.

    Do you still spray outside during the winter?

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  3 роки тому +1

      Mostly, yes. Unless it is below 20 °C. Then I will spray in my garage. I try to check forecasts in advance and prep tumblers when the weather is good. But you can't always plan that.

    what if you get drips? can you fix? or do you strip and start over?

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  3 роки тому +2

      Depending. If you are adding glitter or texture over the drips, you should be fine (especially with a more opaque glitter), but if your spray paint needs to be smooth, you will need to wipe it off and start again.
