3 years ago even before I went to Korea I was already touched by the sincerity she showed in her videos, and then I moved to Seoul and struggled to find a church there and through her I was able to find a community which I will always be grateful for. I’m sure you won’t remember me Jen but I was able to briefly meet you and thank you 🙏🏼

Jen, you are such a beautiful and genuine soul! I’ve been a long time sub from way back Sydney days with cooper! It’s relatable on how your life changes with all the ups and downs and at the same time mine too is the same. Being around the same age, I guess it makes it relatable that no one is perfect. But at least we all strife to achieve happiness in our own ways. It’s been truly a pleasure and a journey watching your videos all these years. Ok so I never comment in videos bc I think it’ll just get lost. And I haven’t even finished watching this whole video but I need to say something.. I hear your stress when talking about your looks and just in general living in Korea being judged. As an Asian with darker skin I understand how it feels to want to look a different way. But that all changed after having kids.. I lost myself for a little while taking care of them and having little time for self care. Now that they are older and able to have a conversation, I realize how important it is to set an example for them and teach them the importance of life. To be strong, work hard and most of all be happy soon what they love. To me they are the most beautiful and I don’t care about looks.
As one of the most looks-focused societies, Korea definitely takes a bit of adjusting to live in at first! However, for me, it was more of an on-cam stress than real life one, as my work required it even more and as a TV host I felt it my DUTY to be as presentable as possible. I'm so glad to no longer worry about this now, but it certainly ate up a good chunk of my mid-20s life! I'm glad to hear you overcame it in your own way too, you are a wonderful mumma! (And I completely agree, happy & confident mum is best for our kids!)

I’ve watched you since 2016 before my first ever trip to Seoul , I absolutely binged all your videos and they were so lovely and helpful. Even if you think back and feel like that period of your life was not really true to you as a person, or a bit ‘shallow’ or what not: your kind and loving personality absolutely came through, I picked up a lot that was so helpful to me and everyone I traveled with (Sweden and Norway is quite far from Korea). Hey Jen, I’m glad you felt comfortable enough to open up to us about your life and your struggles. I’m also happy that you’ve shared your journey about your life and your journey into finding your own identity. Although I know most of it is how you felt back then I’m glad that you’re doing better now and handling situations better. Like you said, I do think we’re heavily influenced by our experiences. In regards to the entertainment industry and fakeness from my own view I just think that as humans we’re dramatic creatures and we enjoy I guess role playing. And as you said it’s definitely sad to see and I do think that it’s horrible that we have such filtered media (I have so much to say 😭). I haven’t been a fan from the beginning but you’ve definately given me strength as someone who is young and given great advice. There were instances that maybe I disagreed but overall I’m willing to respect your stance and reasoning. I hope that you accomplish what you want and for you and your family to be happy and healthy! I really wished you held zoom or live session where fans could just talk about life and their experiences😭😭 OH! And dont ever feel inauthetic! You were going through a tough time and you were being controlled and limited in your reach. Dont feel bad, it’s understandable. 💜

Can relate so much. As a Filipino here in Korea and working at a very conservative Korean office full of 아줌마 it really has taken a toll on my mental health. The moment i step inside the office I changed into a totally completely different person and im just so sick and tired of it. Now my maternity leave is soon over and i decided to quit and not come back anymore and decided to just be myself and happy. Hoping ill make the right decision.

Jen, it’s just so heartwarming to hear how much you love being a mother. For me, having babies was the most fulfilling period of my life. Now I’m in my sixties I look back with nostalgia but content in the knowledge that I gave it my all and never wished the time away. Enjoy every moment and do it wholeheartedly because you don’t want to have regrets once it’s all over. Leo is lucky indeed to have loving, engaged and committed parents.

I’m not even into makeup that much but have been subscribed for years because you’re honest and loving personality has always shown through! My first ever makeup brushes that I bought were yours, I still take great care of them and they’re the only brushes I use. I always felt lost trying to get into makeup or skin care and your videos were a great help to give me the confidence to try out certain products. Thank you for being you and I look forward to your next projects! I always feel a sort of peace and healing watching your videos even when I kind of know I will probably never use the content myself, but I’ve actually encountered people in my day to day life who could use the recommendations so there’s God for ya working in His mysterious roundabout ways!

Without being a fake follower, believe me when I say that I am genuily happy, proud and faithful of people like you, we need more of this in society ❤ I really mean it. I remember the first time I watched one of your videos I was just connected, surprised and happy to see someone from a kbeauty channel, young and pretty being so strong and brave about her faith, God and true beauty in general... you gave me courage to see that I was not alone speaking of God's love, worshiping and even hope finding a significant other that would love God the same as me. Today is rare to see a young person with true beliefs and speaking of them in public, but you did that in every video through your comments, personality, honesty and hardwork, even after getting invited to all this glamorous shows, you stayed true to yourself and humble, with the feet in the ground; questioning if you were at the right spot surrounded by superficiality and materialistic judges everywhere, proves how meaningful life, people and God is for you and I just want to say that I will always support you, not because of the products or skincare you share, but because of the person and family you have become. I myself am kind of going through what you described. I was working in the fashion industry trying to get into television etc. but the closer I became to the Lord the more He changed my heart/purpose for living and I struggled with asking God how can I use all this to glorify You?
I love creating beautiful things that help us stay connected to how good God is but I became fearful of not pleasing God and of failure and have slowly let everything die down.
I do know God is going to work everything out so I just keep asking Him to guide me and am prayerfully trying to start back up again depending on the truth of His word. ^_^
I am just grateful for all He's doing in and through your life you are an encouraging blessing to others indeed.

I am so happy for you ❤️ I really resonated with you when you said you asked God why he placed you in the industry bc you don’t feel like you’re made for it. I feel the same way and I’m constantly doubting whether I can really be where i’m headed. I remember wondering why God might be placing me in the industry I am in. And I rmb thinking to myself how the very nature of my industry feels contrary to God’s nature. But what I saw from this video is that God can shine in any industry. And in your beauty industry, I believe God has been shining through you. It gave me a bit of hope thinking that maybe the reason that God placed me where I’m at is as simple as using me as a vessel for Him to shine.

Hi Jen I have been following u since 2015 I think hahaha. U definitely can try podcast. They are much less stressful, more relax where u can talk about various topics on your mind. U can stream your podcast on UA-cam or Twitch and interact with us in the live comments. U can check simplypodlogical and their podcasts. Its so fun. It is made by a Canadian UA-camr Cristine or Simplynailogical after she felt burnout from churning out so much content on her main channel regularly. Lots of filming and editing alone. So she got her boyfriend Ben to join her podcast and its pretty awesome! U should check it out.
