Look call me cheap or broke but I always buy tech products used or refurbished for a lot less. Never had a problem with any of them and you can save money this way. As mentioned on this video make sure all components works, battery, keyboard, battery cycles, etc.

nice, i just picked up a brand new 2021 16in macbook pro M1 Max with 32 gb and 1 tb for $2300. I bought it on facebook marketplace from an App Dev Director who got it from his work. It was unopened, sealed, with 2.5 years of Apple Care on it. I found it as soon as it was posted. He was going on vacation and wanted to sell quick, so I was able to get it for $2300. Super happy with the steal.

I say go in store. You can specially ask them about why it was returned and you take away the chance it would get lost or damaged during shipping. For satisfactory or fair items, they don’t ship those out so that’s store pickup only. I only did ship to me because it was the last night of a price drop and I wanted to record the packaging experience for this video.

Almost all of the Best Buy open box that are labeled as excellent are almost always either brand new just had the seal, broken or damn near indistinguishable from brand new. Also $500 off is definitely a good deal but even right now it’s $400 off brand new so really this is $100 savings not a $500 savings
