If you combine some of the older versions of the series with the latest versions or more likely believe that the latest series is heavily influenced by the older stuff. You can also find that Mothra and Godzilla have kinda a mother and father relationship in the way that they appear to act. It seems like Mothra is willing to do almost anything in the effort to save the lives of humans almost like an over protective mother. The father figure is more what Godzilla resembles in that he will do his best to protect humans but not more in a way that a father would. Mothra seems like she's willing to go out of her way for a chance to save humanity and protect her loved ones and kinda will do anything to try to make them better even if she doesn't survive but Godzilla is much more along the lines of make sure that they survive in some capacity even if not necessarily always fully intact.
I'm curious to see the relationship between Mothra and Battra in the monsterverse or if we'll ever see him. Since battra Is the corrupted sibling, would Mothra attack or convince him to join her.
Do you think Godzilla takes advantage of cleaner wrasse and other fish that eat parasites? Like he just floats in a reef and gets cleaned for a few hours?
almost every creature in the Monsterverse is an example of unimaginable symbiosis that has become a literal fusion. A vivid example of this is the animals of the island of the skull, whose organisms have grown together with vegetation.
Great work again Joe and Steve! This was a great exploration into the deeper understanding of Mothra and Godzilla's relationship in the Monsterverse. Well done! I'm still crossing my fingers to see you bridge the gap between the Monsterverse and Jurassic Park/World properties, by exploring the creatures that inhabit Peter Jackson's 2005 "King Kong".
Godzilla and Mothra had a ultimate bond during the events of 2019, so hopefully when Mothra is reborn in the future, we can see how this works perfectly.
In the end credits of KOTM, we do see that she is back in her egg form so it's possible. Though her eggs likely take decades to properly develop so I don't think we'll see her again
The symbiotic relationship is also good for their monitor of the planet. Mothra is much faster than Godzilla and can communicate threats across the planet to him fast. Meanwhile there is very little that can stop him in this universe.
Hey goji center! I just wanna let you know thank you so much for making this channel it helped me a lot before I saw this channel I did not know much about the Kaiju universe but you helped me gather lots of information of the Kaiju universe and I also want you to know you've helped thousands of people as well 😃
Thanks for this analysis this is the reason I subscribed to your channel. Plus this symbiotic relationship between Godzilla and Mothra is beyond perfect.
When I first watched KOTM I realized in the G-mans nuclear pulse Mothra's wing patterns and her cries were in the pulse anyways I love your videos and it gives me a better understanding about what happens in the franchise.
I've always loved their symbiotic relationship. Not because they've been deemed the King and Queen of the monster verse but because their history from way back when. I even found it more interesting when Godzilla went thermonuclear and the blast was Mothra 💙🧡 do you think because of Mothra's history of reincarnation, she could possibly come back in future films (if any)?? Also I would LOVE to see her come back and see her relationship with humans like from the older films
Loved the video - really did touch up on a "sensitive" subject in the Godzilla fanbase. I love how you deeply explained the symbiosis, can't what for more of your videos like this to come out!
Muto Prime did implant into Dagon's body. Eventually died in the cavern in Southern, Philippines. She did the same to Godzilla. But she failed to implant him. Thanks to Emma's device called the Orca. Godzilla lift to Muto prime into the air with a concentrated nuclear pulse and He stomp onto Her head.
its very nice to see mothra and godzilla looking very similar to each other and understand each other, i mean they are one of the reasons why monsterverse earth is not destroyed yet
I like to believe that long ago, a tiny Godzilla was in need of help to survive, and it was Mothra who made that possible. Which is why Godzilla accepts her completely.
I knew from seeing some documentaries that moths and butterflies used the patterns on their wings to ward off predators. Also, thanks for shedding some light on that symbiotic relationship. I feel like Kong and Godzilla could develop some sort of symbiosis of their own.
Goji Center I also like to believe that another form of Godzilla and Mothra symbiosis is that Mothra reincarnates through Godzilla. What I mean is that whenever Mothra sacrifices herself and her life force goes into Godzilla I think that after Godzilla uses Mothra’s energy to defeat his opponents he then goes to the location of where Mothra laid her egg and transfers what’s left of her energy from him into the egg. This in turn allow her conscience and memories to be transferred into her next incarnation.
I am really curious how the pair made this mutualism into a thing, like they sit down in a cave somewhere feeding off on some radiation and Big G goes "ayo flappy bird it do be good if you die and buff me up or something idk" and Mothra goes "I wanna divorce"
I'd like to see Godzilla and Kong work together more that would be awesome and great for character development for both of them since the Monsters aren't background props anymore they're more like the actual characters now
Until you pointed it out, I completely missed seeing Mothra’s wing pattern in Godzilla’s nuclear pulse! I gotta share this with my 10 yr-old son, he loves both of these Kaiju….. and he hates Monster 0 and Rodan with a passion, lol
Awesome how this is the first time we seen your illustrated form of Mothra with her Green poster form, wish to see more of that in the future, give the 4 specific titans a place with the elements Blue Water Godzilla Green Nature Mothra Orange Fire Rodan And The Yellow Lightening Ghidorah
Thank you! I always knew Godzilla and Mothra were not boyfriend and girlfriend, but seeing Godzilla and Mothra being in a symbiotic relationship is interesting.
There's no greater duo than mothra and godzilla they been together of years, decades, century, melenia even if they are not together they can still communicate with others what a lovely couple or duo🥺😊
Informative video as always my friends. Though you also left out that Mothra's energy helped further INCREASE Godzilla's senses to the whole planet, but otherwise a good video regardless
I know they're animals, but they're INTELLIGENT animals, and I like to think Godzilla and Mothra do have more to their relationship than just symbiotic.
Oh absolutely, we can see the connection between them several times. Especially when Mothra sacrificed herself for Godzilla and the world, Godzilla was devastated by her loss as indicated by his cry of pain. Plus with how he was visibly angry with Rodan at the end. The strongest evidence of this by far is how the director himself, Michael Dougherty, has confirmed Godzilla and Mothra very clearly have a king and queen relationship.
they are smart enough to have emotional relationship and I am pretty sure that they do when godzilla got beaten up by ghidorah, before mothra got blasted with ghidorah beam, she showed mourning and then rage even goes as far as to act impulsively and fly headfirst at ghidorah in rage leading to her death a simple symbiotic pair of animal wouldn’t really do that pretty sure these two have a close bond with eachother kinda make sense when both of these are smart and emotional creatures that has been with eachother for millions of years it would make sense that they care for eachother
Mothra sacrificing herself for Godzilla to have a fighting chance isn't a show of affection. She simply knew that Godzilla in his critically damaged state could not defend himself or the planet any longer so her sacrifice was completely necessary for Godzilla to have the slightest chance of victory. Godzilla could've cared less about Mothra's sacrifice other than he would also know that it was necessary for the survival of all intelligent life on Earth. His cry of pain is self-explanatory, he was in PAIN, he was dropped from thousands of feet above sea level so any attempt to even move would be extremely painful. I'm not sure what Michael Dougherty meant by the two having a king and queen relationship but my assumption is that he is acknowledging their bond, which has developed through evolution to become a perfect unit in combat and the fact that they can tolerate the existence of each other while keeping other species of titan in check (their symbiotic relationship).
Considering that Mothra's eggs likely take decades to properly develop, I don't think that's possible. Especially considering how much Kong has visibly aged
Idk, i get the feeling Mothra and Godzilla are still more powerful than Kong and Godzilla, Mothra can do a lot more than Kong can and when it comes to battles that involve aerial battles Mothra can cover that spot while Godzilla supports, Kong can't do anything in a aerial fight. Plus when it comes to power ups and abilities, Godzilla and Mothra synergies a lot easier and are way more powerful when they combo attacks.
@@raionshishi8290 but, Mothra can and will be one shotted by one of the higher level combatants. And Kong has a very throwable axe. As far as combo attacks all Godzilla has to do is charge it and boom. Mothra can't do anything when it comes to close range. Here's how i would rank them 1 Godzilla and Kong 2 Godzilla and Mothra 3 Ghidorah and Rodan 4 Muto's
Way i see it, Kong and Godzilla are who you call when you need something to die IMMEDIATELY, Mothra and Godzilla is more akin to a long drawn out fight, where Godzilla will need support in a way that Kong can't achieve.
Wont lie. That scene in KOTM where Godzilla went Burning mode and caused the buildings to melt down around him before the camera even panned to him is easily one of the most badass coldest intros in history. personally in my top 10
I like this video and I always knew the relationship between Godzilla and Mothra in the MV was one of mutualism and not romance or anything. But still, some people commenting are such killjoys. Let people enjoy their Godzilla x Mothra ships. A moth and a lizard? Romance is impossible? Who cares, let them ship it. Its not gonna affect your life or your own view on Godzilla.
People don’t like it because 1, they have had a history of killing each other in very brutal ways, 2, they are two different species and it would make zero sense if they had a romantic couple, And number three… “art”
I can see King Kong and Godzilla being really strong and despite the history between the kongs and Godzilla it’s safe to say that they defeated Meka Godzilla together
Mothras life energy is what gave Godzilla the control needed for his oversaturation of energy. if he didnt have that it would have been just a big explosion of stored energy instead of the pulse.
It would be cool if they added one point in the mv that Godzilla and mothra were just really close Allie’s. And that his true mate would be a random member of his species (female) possibly gojiran. Idk
It was Godzilla who got in trouble most of the time- so this is the story of a patient wife coming to bail her short tempered husband out of trouble constantly
Goji center is the Godzilla master he is the one that I love because he is kinda of a nerd but he is smart and I love him so much he’s the one who taught me about godzilla alot
6:09 What about amesalism (one species is unaffected, the other is negatively affected). An example is a large tree blocking sunlight for saplings below it. meow
Mothra and Godzilla's relationship to the Earth's biosphere, including humanity, is like that of a lawyer and a prosecutor in court. Actually, this prosecutor is also a judge, but... Mosra insists on the right to life for all life and strives for the extension of life. Mothra, unlike other monsters, is an entity that experiences the life cycle, namely, birth-growth-reproductive-death. In addition, this individual continues the huge flow of life through the transmission of memories, that is, the transmission of DNA. It is truly a symbol of all living things, including humans. And on the other side is Godzilla. Godzilla reigns at the apex of all living things. To live and to kill are included in his power. If a living being deliberately exploits the earth and is on the verge of extinction of all life, Godzilla wakes up from a long sleep and destroys the living being. That is the power and calling he received from the one life of the earth. However, just as the defendant has the right to defend in all trials, it is Mosra who has this defense. These two seem to be at odds with each other, but in the end, they agreed on the great cause of a trial for life on Earth, so they cannot tolerate the disintegration or disintegration of this trial court itself. King Ghidorah is the one who wants to destroy this judgment of life. The other titans were forced to serve on a jury between Mothra and Godzilla, but were all bribed by King Ghidorah. Mosra and Godzilla, who should have originally opposed each other, joined forces to fight this injustice and eliminate the heterogeneous element, King Ghidorah. And this figure is similar to the form of the senate and magistrate of the ancient Roman republic. Initially, the consul is the one who leads the senate and is in charge of government affairs, but if Rome is attacked in an emergency state, the senate gives the consul of the current month the power of dictatorship for a period of six months through "Senatus consultum ultimum; The final act", and the consul who becomes dictator becomes a dictator You must save Rome's crisis even by wielding a sword within the holy area of the city. Of course, all acts during this period are later approved and exonerated in the name of the Senate. However, after experiencing such an incident, it was customary for most consuls who served as dictators to resign and retire from politics. Mothra's death was not simply a sacrifice for Godzilla. Just as the Senate hand over all of their legislative, administrative, and judicial hours to the consul to create a dictatorship, so Mosra burns all of her power and hands it over to Godzilla and makes Godzilla devastated, a threat to life on Earth and on Earth. It was made to overthrow the In King Ghidorah. This is a great threat to Godzilla as well. This 'Burning Godzilla' Godzilla literally consumed himself in the fight against King Ghidorah and almost burned himself to death! In other words, just as the senators and consuls combine to create a dictatorship for the cause of Rome, Mosra and Godzilla merged to become 'Burning Godzilla' for all life on Earth.
Jokes aside, the novelizations of GvK I believe (I just read the wiki rundown and not the actual books). Show Godzilla’s perception of the earth and the other titans to be dramatically increased due to Mothra’s essence. Giving him a kind of sixth sense that allows his to sense things across the entire globe. She also affects his personality somewhat and its said that her essence is what keeps him from flat out killing Kong in the first round. There is an increased sense of value of life.
Mothra is by far my favorite because of how she is always a protector, and has in the past taken on Godzilla when he is in “destroy everything” mode and beaten him. With the heroic Godzilla they are allies because they have both been around so long and both protect.

Pro!
Godzilla and Mothra have a mutual symbiotic relationship which I find amazing and fascinating and they are king and queen of the monsters.
Indeed
Godzilla doesn’t want the house burning down while Mothera wants everyone to be happy basically
@@randomautobotprime360yeah that was a good summary lol
GMK mothra’s sacrifice was literally like this but for Ghidorah
Mothra has always had a special place in my heart. I especially loved her new wasp-like features in KOTM.
I'm curious to see the relationship between Mothra and Battra in the monsterverse or if we'll ever see him. Since battra Is the corrupted sibling, would Mothra attack or convince him to join her.
I'm guessing Battra would serve the same purpose as Mothra but with an evil kaiju, like Destroyah or a resurrected King Ghidorah.

Do you think Godzilla takes advantage of cleaner wrasse and other fish that eat parasites? Like he just floats in a reef and gets cleaned for a few hours?
Yea maybe
Probably
Yeah. There’s probably a Titan that does that
definitely
Probably a human sized Titan parasite doing that for them
almost every creature in the Monsterverse is an example of unimaginable symbiosis that has become a literal fusion. A vivid example of this is the animals of the island of the skull, whose organisms have grown together with vegetation.

I swear when I heard Mothra's cry in Godzilla's attack, a tear came out of my eye! 😚🥹🥲x10 💞
Wow it’s early !! Love it !! Another awesome video ! Love your work GojiCenter, you deserve an award
Godzilla and Mothra had a ultimate bond during the events of 2019, so hopefully when Mothra is reborn in the future, we can see how this works perfectly.
At the rate these Monsterverse movies are coming out, I doubt we'll see Mothra again on the big screen.
@@JBrotsis1 I was just about to say this.

Everytime I see a new video from you guys, I automatically like it. Because I know it'll be a good quality video! Keep up the great work guys!
Mothra climbing on the injured Godzilla to say hey ! I’m here to help ! Is so awesome
After GKOM was going off one of the news articles stated a Mothra egg was found.
She is coming back in the next one
Loved the video - really did touch up on a "sensitive" subject in the Godzilla fanbase. I love how you deeply explained the symbiosis, can't what for more of your videos like this to come out!
I love this video. I learned Burning Godzilla is most powerful state combine Ishiro Nuke and Mothra's energy. Thanks Gojicenter!!
Wow! I didn’t notice that the thermonuclear pulse had Mothra’s eyespots and sounded like her cry, that is so cool and a nice touch from legendary! 😁
I noticed it the first time I watched it and I think it's kinda sad but it's understandable that the G-man would use it as homage to mothra
I already noticed since I watched it for the first time 👀
There’s still people who haven’t noticed that? What!
its very nice to see mothra and godzilla looking very similar to each other and understand each other, i mean they are one of the reasons why monsterverse earth is not destroyed yet
7:27 the music always gets me
Awesome videos with the theories
And I subed :)
I love the idea that Mothra and Godzilla are in a symbiotic relationship!
People ship Godzilla and Mothra. The art ranges from cute, to wholesome, to strange, to borderline cursed
I like to believe that long ago, a tiny Godzilla was in need of help to survive, and it was Mothra who made that possible. Which is why Godzilla accepts her completely.
Mothra is one of Godzillas greatest allies alongside Anguirus
I have to say that I love how much they rely and help each other. They make as great duo.
every time I watch one of this channel’s video I get that excited feeling you get when you go to the movies
5:48 here you have a nice picture of how big an aircraft carrier is to Godzilla 2014. I still wonder how he fit on the carrier in GvK
It’s because that one in GVK is A Lot bigger than that on in 2014
No, it's because in that scene from 2014 Godzilla was scaled wrong.
The fact that a moth and a lizard have better relationships goals to most human is so funny to me
This was an awesome vid... the breakdown of the nuclear pulse and sound...I ate that up!
I am really curious how the pair made this mutualism into a thing, like they sit down in a cave somewhere feeding off on some radiation and Big G goes "ayo flappy bird it do be good if you die and buff me up or something idk" and Mothra goes "I wanna divorce"
LOL
lmfao

Informative video as always my friends. Though you also left out that Mothra's energy helped further INCREASE Godzilla's senses to the whole planet, but otherwise a good video regardless
Kudos again. Well thought out and expressed ideas. Kaijubiologist Approved!
I know they're animals, but they're INTELLIGENT animals, and I like to think Godzilla and Mothra do have more to their relationship than just symbiotic.
SUS
Oh absolutely, we can see the connection between them several times. Especially when Mothra sacrificed herself for Godzilla and the world, Godzilla was devastated by her loss as indicated by his cry of pain. Plus with how he was visibly angry with Rodan at the end. The strongest evidence of this by far is how the director himself, Michael Dougherty, has confirmed Godzilla and Mothra very clearly have a king and queen relationship.
@@micahduffus5690 I didn't say anything about sexual reproduction, just that they have affection for each other that is more than symbiotic
they are smart enough to have emotional relationship
and I am pretty sure that they do
when godzilla got beaten up by ghidorah, before mothra got blasted with ghidorah beam, she showed mourning and then rage
even goes as far as to act impulsively and fly headfirst at ghidorah in rage leading to her death
a simple symbiotic pair of animal wouldn’t really do that
pretty sure these two have a close bond with eachother
kinda make sense when both of these are smart and emotional creatures that has been with eachother for millions of years it would make sense that they care for eachother
Hopefully we one day get a trio team up of Godzilla, Mothra, and Kong. 🦖🦋🦍
I Hope rodan
Considering that Mothra's eggs likely take decades to properly develop, I don't think that's possible. Especially considering how much Kong has visibly aged
You got your wish! (GxK)
While I believe that Godzilla and Kong are the most powerful titan team, I also think that Godzilla and Mothra are the best titan team.
Yep waht I meant
Put the three of them on a single team and anything is gonna get spanked.
Here's how i would rank them
1 Godzilla and Kong
2 Godzilla and Mothra
3 Ghidorah and Rodan
4 Muto's
Way i see it, Kong and Godzilla are who you call when you need something to die IMMEDIATELY, Mothra and Godzilla is more akin to a long drawn out fight, where Godzilla will need support in a way that Kong can't achieve.
I would love to see Godzilla protect baby mothra like a papa
Wont lie. That scene in KOTM where Godzilla went Burning mode and caused the buildings to melt down around him before the camera even panned to him is easily one of the most badass coldest intros in history. personally in my top 10
People: Don't ship them its weird
Godzilla and Mothra: Symbiotic relationship
I like this video and I always knew the relationship between Godzilla and Mothra in the MV was one of mutualism and not romance or anything. But still, some people commenting are such killjoys. Let people enjoy their Godzilla x Mothra ships. A moth and a lizard? Romance is impossible? Who cares, let them ship it. Its not gonna affect your life or your own view on Godzilla.
Same
Exactly
And if there are other people who like godzilla X kong??????
No better yet what about people that won't godzilla x ghidorah
People don’t like it because 1, they have had a history of killing each other in very brutal ways,
2, they are two different species and it would make zero sense if they had a romantic couple,
And number three…
“art”
I can see King Kong and Godzilla being really strong and despite the history between the kongs and Godzilla it’s safe to say that they defeated Meka Godzilla together
A couple days old moth dating a millions of years old lizard
Godzilla directors: *yes*
This is my favorite relationship in the monsterverse. Mothra ´singing´ to him when over the ocean, making sure he´s alive, was such a good scene
The beginning made me explode in laughter!
Goji center is the Godzilla master he is the one that I love because he is kinda of a nerd but he is smart and I love him so much he’s the one who taught me about godzilla alot

Say this to both Venom & Eddie Brock
Rodan did similar in one episode where Godzilla jr in danger transferred power to Godzilla to protect him
Mothra and Godzilla's relationship to the Earth's biosphere, including humanity, is like that of a lawyer and a prosecutor in court.

He will finally be able to fly
Love that you hear her roar in Godzilla’s nuclear pulse, because then when Godzilla defeated Ghidoarh was wasn’t alone, they defeated him together
Mothra is by far my favorite because of how she is always a protector, and has in the past taken on Godzilla when he is in “destroy everything” mode and beaten him. With the heroic Godzilla they are allies because they have both been around so long and both protect.
