One detail I saw from a gif on Twitter. Right before Godzilla fires his atomic breath, you can actually see Scylla try to shank Godzilla with her leg, only for Godzilla to grab it and stab herself with it, instead.

Godzilla isn’t unreasonable but Scylla and Tiamat both openly defied him multiple times so I’m not surprised he’s done with showing mercy.
Yeah, but this means that the two coolest monsters from the monster verse have been killed every single time there is a cool monster, or even a halfway decent one they get killed off and we’re left with the scrap
Tiamat’s was especially sneaky, as I believe she ambushed Godzilla in her last fight.

@mazinsanik Although scylla and tiamat were no doubt cool kaijus, it's a bit too harsh to say that we're left with the "scraps." There's multiple cool kaijus in the monsterverse at the moment, and there'll no doubt be more to come in the future. Though I am also sad that scylla and tiamat had to die, and I hope that they manage to come back to life in some way in the future.

Godzilla knew an old enemy was coming to face him and that he needed to be ready so having 2 major titans defy him at this time was a threat and something that needed to be dealt with quickly

Shimo's case'd be even more dangerous with no Mothra/Kong. Even without Scylla, & Tiamat as sacrifical lambs, Godzilla would've swiftly handle the ordeal provide Mothra and Kong are there to help.
The whole pink dorsal fin, & evolution's simply coincidental.
Bet it wouldn't be that hard since no other ape was as an alpha titan like kong kong is way bigger and stronger than all the other apes existed before him that godzilla defeated all of them even when he was severly outnumbered. Kong was just built different @@naufalmEZa

Even 2014 Goji suffered greatly when jumped by two MUTOS, who're for all intent and purposes juiced up by radiations prior confrontation. Assuming all the prophecies speak of that same Godzilla/Gojira.

As a Scylla fan, I found it ironic how Godzilla was just fed up with her and decided to end it there. Though I wish Scylla put a little bit more of a fight since she was doomed to die-

@@thomasschellenberg3962I don't think so. Godzilla's atomic breath is so powerful that the second it hit scylla, it would've died. It's head would've blasted after she died. Same thing happened with muto. When Godzilla released his atomic breath into muto's mouth, she died in that exact moment due to the heat but her head came off afterwards :)
Moral of the story: Some titans are just too dangerous to be left alive!
Titans are supposed to be extinct, A lot of them simply can't coexist peacefully because of their ancient nature

@@lilithluvzu no, in a previous comic, after KotM, G needed a new home, so he went back to one of his OLD lairs. Problem was Tiamat had already moved in, so when she didn't UP AND ABANDON HER HOME ON THE SPOT, that, was when her and G had thier, DISAGREEMENT.

I feel she was gonna die sooner or later since she's classified as a Destroyer titan someone that can potentially oppose Godzilla. Plus she was also powering up due to her new home which could have made her a rival for Big G.

Same here. Watched it in a 3D IMAX with my buddy and his older brother. That entire theater cracked up in laughter when Kong used Suko as a nunchuck. And yes, all three of us loved it
I was kind of hoping Scylla would have exited her shell to make a quick getaway.
Kind of sad to see her die the way she did but she did defy the King.
While it is a shame to see Scylla die, I do have to admit that the death was pretty awesome!

basically Tiamat couldnt be controlled and still had an abundance of energy and godzilla didnt feel bad about killing her because at that point she had used up all her chances to go under his rule but refused to. Now her death serves as a stepping stone to power up Goji

Tiamat and Scylla appeared in the film for literally less than a minute and were both killed by the same guy how is that fair after hearing about how Tiamat is so op this happens

Unfortunate that this had to happen, but out of the Titans we've seen, it did make the most sense that Godzilla would've killed Scylla and Tiamat given his past history with both.
In that regard, GxK actually showed Godzilla as an alpha.
As well as resolving his prior beefs with deviants, i'd give them a pass for another lines of toys, the redesign is tied into worldbuilding.
Scylla's actually lucky because Godzilla actually gave her a second chance. He could've finished her in Dominion especially after she was causing trouble and attacked him.
Tiamat, understandably, was not given that second chance.
It also explains why Godzilla was ready to throw hands with Kong again. Granted he was getting carried away, but Gman was really getting fed up of other Kaiju not respecting boundaries.

I just rewatched Godzilla x Kong a second time today and came away impressed by Shimo. She got hit by Godzilla’s pink blast twice and it didn’t kill her.

Something about GXK y’all should know, Godzilla didn’t evolve to face shimo, he evolved to face all the apes and shimo together by himself, as last time he tried to solo them he almost died and could only imprison them. Godzilla was expecting to have to fight skar kings army on his own and decided to evolve to increase his chances.

Just saw the movie today. It was an absolute gem to watch, including the scene where Godzilla took on this Cthulhu crustacean and came out on top effortlessly. The fight, along with the others in the movie, were well done.

If we're looking from Godzilla's perspective, his intention on "knocking at Tiamat's door" might be just to intimidate her, to make her run away, in which unfortunately failed. Godzilla was in a rush to evolve, probably thought "I don't have time for your shit", decided to end her.
For the power up. Godzilla eats up radiation sources -> juiced up with enough power to one-shot Tiamat -> absorbs whatever power Tiamat got (because I’m pretty sure she looked different in the movie, implying an evolution) -> fully prepared for Skar King’s shenanigans

Scylla’s death wasn’t even her own doing, it was humanity’s so Godzilla needs to do something about that.

I love the style of your videos, which is why I've been subscribed since the inception of this channel, however, sometimes it's so challenging having to wait a week or more to hear you thoughts. I know, from the Beast Hub Podcast, you don't want to show your face and that's perfectly fine. These could be casual voice over videos with your thoughts.
Skar King Was nerfed by toho because they were afraid he would be too popular. Two years ago he was bigger than godzilla and kong and was sitting on his throne (dwarfing the throne) with godzilla and kongs skulls. He had glowing eyes (which they dont use or explain) and MASSIVE arms. When Toho got more involved they nerfed him down and FORCED legendary to add Shimo (an old toho anguirus design) to weaken scarking and his influence (It did not work people LOVE the Skar King even still). He had agility, intelligence, style, uncanny valley vibes, and good motivations. Toho forced Legendary to make Godzilla into Galactus from marvel. Not only did they nerf Skar King by doing this, they nerfed tiamat, scilla, and ANY AMERICAN MADE TITAN and it was obvious. They wouldnt even let kong get electrical powers. At this point godzilla is so strong why even bring in Space godzilla OR Destroya? Hes just gonna kill them both in one shot.
To be fair Godzilla did get his ass beat by the MUTOs, MUTO Prime, Ghidorah, Kong, Mechagodzilla, Tiamut so I can see why Toei would be sick of watching the unstoppable force that is meant to be Godzilla be stopped so easily and so often
