The whole of Lagos needs revamping.
Way too crowded with less greenery.
Also, why are they bringing America style of building to Africa? Is it because of greed? Build compact kind of Apartments/Homes for more, to gain more money.😅
Anyway, option 2 for, still not the best.
Bruh, you said the "guest bathroom" at 12:30 was a "good use of space sha." What happens when your guest blowing up that bathroom and the scent ain't got no where to escape because it's a closet with no vents 🫣 You are way too polite Bayo 😂🤣
LMAO 🤣
🤣🤣
The 1st one was okay, but loved the 2nd one especially with gen silencer box and private systems and larger spaces with bonus room and better built, but the 3rd seemed far more better built than the other 2 with two rather large rooms/spaces with duo closets. Only thing was, I think you forgot to mention the prices of the 2nd/3rd home/showing, etc. I'd recommend anyone to people in the following order, 2, 3, & 1. Oh, and I particularly 💕 your closing statement 🙏🏾.
Apartment 2 with own bore hole and soundproof generator. I like the kitchen aswell.
Thank you!
Hey guys! like seriously? are we really there already in Nigeria where we have our so-called luxurious houses so crowded and barely the size of match boxes just like it is in the downtown areas in America, Canada or the UK. It is a very dangerous zone to be: crowded high browse residential areas with practically no green spaces anywhere around makes so many who live abroad suffer from depression. I sincerely think that someone with a budget of $50K truly deserves better. will advise these quack builders and developers to try employ the services of good architects and environmental planners when next they want to build homes for people to live in. Bayo, the sizes of rooms, the Kitchen and living areas in these properties are too small, practically zero backyard space, compound can only barely contain the Cars, humans deserve better.
I agree.. the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom is the size of my kitchen. Is better to buy and build I think to ur taste
Hogwash! Show me a house of this size you can buy for $50,000 in the US.
@andersonojoshimite6047 I can definitely show you a house here in America for 50,000. With green space, bigger rooms, and a basement.
The location is what you are paying for my dear.
Then show us, also don't show us the onces inside the jungle oh.@@evonneolanrewaju7384
This are not luxurious houses, they are for the lower income earners.
I now know why realtors are making a kill in Lagos. None of them is a pick for me. Exploitation Exploitation Exploitation.
oh no!
This is why I always encourage people to buy their own lands and build their own house to their taste if you can afford it. It better that way
Ideally yes.
Thanks Adio. Please could you help.encourage real estate developers in Lagos especially to always include some greenery. As someone who has lived abroad, you know what I'm taking about. The quality of life is important.
Great suggestion!
Option 2. I didn't realize I would like more control over the home, but I do! layout and use of the space (bathrooms!) was more to my liking with minor fixes. The kitchen, for one who cooks could've have more space, galley kitchen is not it. #3 was my 2nd choice, the kitchen, better except for the island-made things feel congested. The 2nd room was ackward, small.
Thanks for sharing!!
I concur option 2 looks better though not too sure of the location!
You guys are jokers. 😂😂
With What Is Going On With Gas Price In Nigeria 🇳🇬 People Should Be In Control Of Your Own Generator/Power System. Where My Sister Is Living Inside Lekki Phase 2 Mobil Estate, They Stop Giving Them Power Always While They Are Paying So Much Money For HOA Every Month. People Start Moving Out Of That Mobil Estate. I Will Never Buy Estate That I Cannot Bring My Own Generator/Offgrid Solar System Of My Own.
Yes-o, you'd have the *free-dom* to install your own reliable*off-grid* system such as solar/wind, and problem solved against NEPA if they still go by that name since I was last there lol.
They are all good by Nigeria standards, however I do not like that the entrance doors open directly into the living room. It means dirty trudged in all the time as there is no where to change shoes from outdoors to indoors. If you can live with that, then the 2nd option is probably the best, if one does not mind such a small kitchen.
Thanks for your insights!
Apartment 2 does it for me because of space both inside and outside the building
Thanks for your insights.
Nice video. Buying is good, and will save you the stress of building.
Very true!
It’s incredible that for $50,000.00, they don’t even have the sense to put a big window in the living room and dining area. Sad. Even the rooms have small slim window when it could have had big windows to bring in air and light.
Thank you!
Apartment 2 for me. Thank you for taking us along
Any time!
I would choose option 2, however I prefer the kitchen in option 3 or 1. Always enjoy your vlogs. Thanks for sharing...!!!
Good choice!
Nice to see a young Nigerian to start farming instead of traveling abroad.
Either person is going where the opportunity presents itself for.theor growth and personal fulfillment
Yes either person is going where the opportunity presents but if all the educated young person lives who is going to develop our country
@@alaniadekambi7530my thoughts always. Who will develop the place we running from. We still come back at old age to complain
Option 2
Has 3 rooms has water 💧 pump and better space and finishing /interior is better
Thanks!
Knowing the truth prices will help in deciding exactly which one to choose, however l like the second (the 3 bedrooms) one more.
Thank you!
Nigerian developers keep building and the government or local government if it exist, don't build new hospitals, police station, clean water and basic necessary amenities as needed. Just building with no new infrastructure. Every where is generator, if you don't have money to buy petrol or diesel, fumes all over. Just to attract the diasporaian. Other African countries are much better for settlement than Nigeria with bad security. No safety and no proper government.
Correct. My Sister and her husband and kids just moved back to USA. Where they were living inside Gated community Lekki Phase2 Mobil Estate. HOA Is $300 A Month With Limited Power. They Cannot Bring Your Own Generator Or Full Solar System Inside The Estate. People Started Moving Out Of The Estate Including The Owners. My Sister And Her Husband Couldn't Take It Anymore. They Move Back To USA. American Citizen.
@@AfricanUSA-th9ovwhat estate is this? Sounds terrible.
Heat extractor.
You mean smoke extractor.
Good job with the presentation as channel host.
My bad
Fantastic job bro. Keep it up. Just to clarify, are the apartments circa 50k dollars for outright purchase? What are the actual prices in Nigeria?
What about the security at option 2? Can you build a good house for $50,000? Great job as usual.
Yes. If You Already Have A Land In Nigeria, You Can Build A Nice Unattached Duplex If You Monitor The Building By Yourself On A Bigger Lot.
Since Dollars Is Not Stable, He Should Give The Prices In Naira. If Dollars Is N1,000 To A $1. $50,000 Will Be N50 Million Naira
@@AfricanUSA-th9ov8 months later, last one checked, it is hovering around $1333 to 1555+ and although sad for 9ja, it allows for a window of opportunities for investors abroad... The inflation may likely worsen closer to $2K-$3K and up in upcoming years/decade sadly enough as it tends to climb, but rarely falls 😢.
They could have done an open plan living, dining and kitchen. No need for walls in the kitchen of all of the apartments. There will be air flow, natural light and esthetics will look better especially large windows. Poor designs.
Very poor.....
CCTV in a living room, that’s awkward for me, if you don’t trust your nanny then don’t live your children with them, everybody running generator, that’s a no no for me. You’re doing a good job Bayo.
You can't be too careful or trusting at the moment and it also acts as a deterrent.
Honestly is too expensive the room is too small a friend of mine just buy house from Ivory Coast Abidjan BIG 5bedroom for 30 million CFA around $50.000 Dollar way better than this house!
Alot Of Nigerian Real Estate Are Wacky. I Will Not Even Pay $30,000 For That Townhouse With Very Small Bedrooms Like Hostel Living. Parking Suck. Very Cramp.
Apt.2 is my option. I love everything about it.
Thank you!
Just asking: why do people like to waste their hard earned £s and $s just to live in smelly, noisy and overcrowded Lagos (State)? Are there no other better cities in Nigeria to buy a well-built spacious property with green space/garden if you live in the diaspora? If I'm given millions of Naira for free to live in any parts of Lagos State, I will kindly decline. If you have already made it, and well-established abroad, why would someone wants to live in Lagos State in this age and time when visiting Nigeria? Just asking?
I feel you. You would absolutely love the community we are building. Check out thegreenparadise.com Lagos is generally safer, fun and is the economic and entertainment hub. Ideally, for me. I would love outside Lagos city limits and then go to Lagos periodically
I find it funny how a lot of the people that are complaining lives in Uk and live in houses that is the same square footage as these apartments 😂😂. If those apartments that he was showing, were in Uk none of y’all would be complaining, but when it comes to Africa y’all be wanting to act big 😂
I think all three of them looks quite the same standard.
The toilet windows are like bird houses. They prefer lots of block work that to build a quality small apartment. If it had big windows even in the toilet it won’t be that bad.
Thanks for the input.
For me, it's clearly option 2! Why, for the independence of a borehole and generator, or at least a box to secure the generator!
Thanks for sharing your input!
Lack of green space is a real concern for me, all the apartments looks choked up, the design of the living rooms are akward, a tall person is likely to catch his/her head on the stairs several times, the kitchen should be open plan, having an island in a tiny kitchen is ridiculous. There is bearly enough room for parking and maneuvering out of the compound, i can see major conflicts developing with nasty neighbours due to lack of parking space. Overall, need for a re-think, however you get what you pay for.
Thanks for chiming in.
@@thenigeriannomad may need to hook up with you when I visit lagos in December
House number #2 guest restroom would stimk real bad. There is no window ?? 😂
Apartment 2 for me. Good job my bro
Thanks!
Hmmm this is tricky, I like 2 . But the do it yourself scares me.Thx for sharing.
fair. and youa re welcome :)
Options number 2 the Deal
Amazing
⚡️20:42 Those electric wires are dangerously way too close for comfort!
😂 the first developer 😂😂😂😂 they can’t even answer the questions
2. I see the options still make you cringe but kudos to you for making do with what you have. The Nigerian terminology is becoming very natural also haha
Hi. I just watched your now. I live in the USA. Pls l would like to know the cost of each duplex
I would choose apartment 2 and add a few details to it to self customize. For me personally, i wouldn't choose any of them. The spaces were to small, duplexes mean sharing walls, no parking for you or company. Also, i agree with one of the viewers who made a statement about the tile used. Yuck, it's the same everywhere, hotels, houses, stores......anyway, good job with the content 🎉
Thank you!
Bayo, there is no doubt in my mind that option # 2 is the best of the three except for a couple of small adjustments here and there.
Thanks for sharing
Great content...apts 2 & 3 seemed more spacious and I liked the layout...my question is, are generators needed for primary power or backup only? Does NEPA service the estates? Ty as always for sharing...
most estates has it as a back up and nepa as the main source
@@thenigeriannomad thank you 💡...
What's *service charge* ? Is that like HOA fees? Can one opt-out if handy and do their own maintenance or hire-out professional/top quality perfectionist pros?
Is the air conditioner supposed to be installed by the buyer?
Option 2 is the best option for people abroad
Thanks for sharing
None of the above.. Waste of money! kindly tell your client to up his/her budget and get a comfortable apartment on distress sale.. With respect to distress sale, please make sure it's not a property in court with land dispute issues..
Can you buy a property in Nigeria as a Sierra Leonean citizen or do you need dual citizenship with Nigeria and what's the process?
Thanks for showing us these affordable homes. I will contact you in early 2024 to help look for duplex in this price range. to use for Airb&b rental. I like the one with individua H2O tank.
Fantastic! Anytime :)
Be glad. Inventions electricity from ert and water from air!
Ur doing a great job bro
Thank you so much 😀
None of the above . The last one has a low fence with wire! They didn’t raise it up with rails for privacy. It’s poor designs. Hardly dining space. Better to up your budget and buy what you will be comfortable living in.
Thanks for sharing your insights.
How much is each the apartment with everything inclusive?
Bayo do you manage real estate units for short let for diasporans?
A prison, some greedy Chinese type construction packing people like sardines in a can
Kitchen can be made more welcoming coming and master bedroom more welcoming
Thanks!
Great job King! Thanks for ALL the views! 😍🔥😍
Thanks!
I like option #2 because it has 3 bedrooms and the design is beautiful. What's the price for each of the property? Im interested in buying 3 bedrooms. Thanks.
Great! All around $50k . email us at lightshineinvest@gmail.com if you are interested.
Does every place have bars on the windows? It blocks light.
For people who are security conscious yesm but not every place
Hi. Where does the rainwater drain on those "backyard" balconies and particularly upstairs?
Small windows ,too much concrete, no greenery, no playground..All Nonsense
Tell us how you really feel!
😂😂😂😂
4:56 you mentioned the door is solid. What kind of door is it? Or what do you refer to as a solid, wood or iron? Good informative video though
Because it is REAL wood! and very heavy and sturdy!
Solid real wood it appears to be just from the video/looks of it, but it could be metal or other material simulating wood etc.
@@thenigeriannomadExactly what I was suspecting just from the looks of it in the video, and I responded to this comment even before reading yours and my suspicion was correct 💯 😁.
The meter square of each house
Its actually cheap. But my husband prefer to buy and build himself. He loves luxury
fair enough
Hello Everyone! Does anyone know a reliable and credible bureau de change in Nigeria?
I will pick two
nice
The camera angles make Bayo look 6'9".
haha all in the angle
Iam also interested in the community project. Will like to buy 2 plots of land in your community project. I am coming in next month which is November 2023,will like to connect.
ooooh AWESOME. You are welcome. Pelase reach out to us at +234 915 740 2945 or lightshineinvest@gmail.com
I like all good assuming prices are different? what is the service charge on appt 2?
What's service charge? Is that like HOA fees? Can one opt-out if handy and do their own maintenance or hire-out professional/top quality perfectionist pros?
Very nice
Thanks
I LOVE THEM BOTH
nice
How much was number 3 ?
The guest toilets linking living room is a no, no for me. This is too common design in all this buildings.
Thank you bro, I won’t take any.
It was so small also, hardly room to stand or sit.
I understand
Hi Bayo They are rubbish apartments Not worth the dosh,
The road is disgusting which need construction done to it.the inside entrance of the gate is dirty needs powere Wash.😂
LMAO 🤣😂😂
Very useless apartment...😅😅
Good job
Thanks
Light problem with the noise on the background
Thanks for the feedback
Bayo, go when it's wet season
Im interest in buying property not too far from Murtala Muhammed Arpt. I don't mind either old or new property. 2 or 3 bedrooms.
Awesome. lets connect
I like Apt 3❤
Thank you!
Open drains should be banned.
I agree
The NO A/C kills it for me.
Oh you buy your own
I prefer no 1 apartment.
Thanks.
one of them look a bit dodgy the guy wearing dark....
I might be the only one here but apartment no1 for me
interesting. tell me more. why ?
@@thenigeriannomad probably because I'm a very minimalist person and also I love the kitchen
Option 2
ooh cool
Nothing because Lagos is the most dirtiest city in the World. The city smell and roads in some Nigeria Villages far better off when you compare them. Don't buy a house in smelling Lagos but buy in Abuja FCT.
Poor man thinking
@@outlyfe7570 Poor man and poor leadership thinking makes the city smell so bad.
Igbo sha!!! na wa o.
I have a better deal for your client within that budget. How do I reach you?
2 and 3 bedrooms.
Lakeview. Pool. Gym.
No generators. They provide electricity.
Armed security at the estate gate.
Fully done roads. Spacious.
What’s your site / email
They provide half day electricity. How much is the monthly HOA
Yeah, fill me in on this place, I'd like to buy from your location!
A e❤eird half bath....
No air condition kills it for me.
You buy your own ooh
When are we as Nigerians going to stop using $ as our legal tender or a means of exchange as payment, by so doing we strengthen $ against Naira, don’t get me wrong am a fan, but let’s join hands to improve our economy.
You are either very tall or these men are quite short.
#2😊
No plants and there is no Alternatives for them.
It’s no
✌️
welcome. the first
Please the surface area of the building and rooms are important
That 50k will give you security, but once you leave your on your own

Thanks!
#2!
Thanks
That small house for 50k?
describe small ?
There's no back yard😮
Hmmm
