Yeah man! I feel like I was missing that one BIG fish for in the video but still a lot of fun out there with Christian. I’ll have to get up to your neck of the woods someday!
Great video. Had a lot of success with a new approach fending off break offs with sharks when fishing my bull red setup. 50# mainline braid, FG knot to 10 ft of 80# mono leader tied to swivel with 1 ft of 60# leader below the swivel. That 10 ft of heavy duty mono really provides more abrasion resistance against their sides and tails.
That’s a great idea man I’ll definitely that a try! I imagine having the extra 10’ of mono also allows some stretch and lessons stress on the hook end. Thanks for watching!
Great video as always Corey! Had a blast fishing with you as usual! I'm checking the nearshore forecast everyday looking for a window for us to get back out there.
im interested in doing just this - taking a kayak out and fishing the charleston jetty (i live here). corey - can you tell me exactly the conditions to look for to ensure it is safe out there? i dont want to be another coast guard call :)
I can’t tell you what’s safe and what’s not. You need to make that call both with weather forecasting and also in person looking at the surf. I use the windy app that shows wave height and intervals. I want less than two foot swell at least 7s apart.
I'm glad you stressed the dangers of doing what you were doing at the beginning. Looked like you had a perfect day to go. That is not the place for beginners.
Yes great point! Need to be experienced in kayaking and surf launching. Only the calmest day, stable robust kayak, high vis flag, PFD, marine radio, tell someone your plan and when you plan to return, manual bilge pump, don’t go alone.
Great day on the water. Thanks for the teaching.
Thanks for watching and the comment! Always fun getting out with a friend.
Another great video
Thanks man I appreciate it!
The Shibumi's on the beach crack me up too. Another cool vid man
Glad you enjoyed! It was also fun telling the people swimming that the sharks were biting 😂
Awesome piece brother, thanks for sharing.
Thanks man!
Great video Corey!!! Appreciate everyone ....Onwards and upwards brother, God Bless
Onwards and upwards! Thanks for always dropping a comment man! I’m going to work on my consistency 😅
Awesome as always my brother love when you two fish together

Thanks man! Let’s get back there and slay some bull reds 🤩
Did neither of you catch a flounder? I would expect them to be stacked up out there
Sorry for all the sniffles…. I was sick. Not sick enough to stay home though!!
Anything that has to do with South Carolina I enjoy watching ! 👍
I’m originally from Arizona! Can’t get enough of SC!
