@@jaydoggy9043 nah owning up to it would've been a community post and nuking the video outright, not reposting it with the sponsor cut. A full Chad move would've been adding in a short segment to _this_ video fully explaining the situation to their entire audience since the only ones who know are the people who read the comments or saw the original post.
I never comment on videos, but it's worth it this time to thank the babish team for removing that shady sponsor. That was the right thing to do, so we'll done!

@@klai2005 they've been sharing customer's data, and lying about the service in general for years. They don't guarantee the therapist you get is actually licensed, and take enormous cuts. It's just a terrible service
@@klai2005 Not to be that person, but theres plenty of videos on it you can find readily, since youre already here on youtube.
Biggest issue is HIPAA violations (that they say that they can legally do, but idk ive seen arguments for either side) of them selling private health data. They've hired unlicensed therapists, used/stolen info from unrelated therapists as if they were with better help, force any therapists they work with into very bad unfair contracts, paired very unfitting therapist to patient needs/concerns and makes it tough for the patients to do anything about it, makes it very tough for patients to quit - in a very manipulative way taking advantage of the situation, etc.
All very scummy stuff from a company that wants to "help" people with mental health problems.

@@JRyan-dz4fd Some Italian bread aficionado will be along to argue with me shortly, but they're the same thing. I've lived in Italy, I've tried both from a typical baker, they are indistinguishable to your average human being.
Can we appreciate what Alvin has accomplished here for a min? I get that we're all happy they heard us and removed the ads, but everything about this is FIRE! From the custom dough and original spreads to the incredible final assembly and the half-and-half look. This is the kind of thing I just dream of...
Love Alvin's videos, but I rarely comment on them. Just had to remark how endlessly refreshing it is to see the channel continuously addressing community concerns. It is honestly so rare to see that nowadays and one of the top reasons why I have been a subscriber for all of these years, since the very, very early days, when Andrew was evaluating different types of grilled cheeses pre-Tampano days. Keep up the amazing work, everybody!
The same way I complained about the sponsorship, I'm gonna give you props for the fast reaction and doing the right thing here.
A "pesto" is basically anything that is made with a mortar and pestle, it doesn't need to have basil in it. So, yeah, theirs was indeed a pistachio pesto, and that's how it's usually made, with no basil at all.
i think the ingredients should be raw or at least the preparation should require no cooking 🤓
@@putruccu not necessarily, you can make pesto with roasted bellpeppers or sundried/ovendried tomatoes

Mate, they never would've done it if people hadn't said anything. It's 100% a financial decision. If they were responsible, they would've never taken the deal in the first place.
I’ve been to the original All’antico vinaio in Florence and they definitely stack more compared to NYC from what I can see here. Also, I believe the veggies used in the Inferno sandwich are usually eggplant, but I did add zucchini on mine; happy to see Alvin did the same :)
The fact that is super popular with tourists only should tell them the "real" Italia food is somewhere else. I mean, our panino are simpler than the ones they make 😅

I don't know the specifics of the sponsor they booted, but how is supporting a gambling platform any different than advertising liquor or wine clubs? Alcoholism is arguably more harmful and addictive than gambling (at least physiologically) but no one bats an eye when he mixes a cocktail during a sponsored bit.
@@mj.ray0898 Likely because gambling apps don't have age restrictions on mobile platforms and things like alcohol have age restrictions to keep children from consuming it. Also, gambling is more short-term harmful than alcohol, as the dopamine fixes can cause you to waste all of your money - that could also be part of the outcry. At least with alcohol, there's an expectation to drink responsibly and he presents it in terms of a "once in a while" fancy pairing for the food he makes - which is different than promoting gambling, especially if it's an app you can plug and play at any time that's available to everyone of all ages.
I've been to both the NYC and original shop in Florence and they honestly don't even compare. They are definitely much more filled and everything seems far more fresh! If you get the opportunity to be in Italy, I'd definitely recommend the real thing 😍 (I havent been for a few years, but they were also cheap for the size!)

I doubt its a case of watching them and moreso seeing it for two seconds/reading the description and coming to their own conclusions. Most people skip, but considering this was a gambling company it makes sense theres a lot of outcry (just like there is for hello fresh/factor, and betterhelp, etc.)

@@ricismokes6154 Apparently some people are like "we're too broke to afford this!" or "they still use plastic sometimes!" so they spend just as much money at the grocery store and throw away twice as much plastic. Lol.
Thing is, Hello Fresh is NOT A REQUIRED THING TO LIVE and is ENTIRELY A CHOICE TO BUY if it's something you can afford and want to buy. Factor is basically just a fancier version of TV dinners, which I'm not seeing any of these Factor haters boycott. And let me tell you, the TV dinners we have right now are MUCH worse for multiple reasons!
So yeah, there was outcry. But the same kind of misplaced outcry that really has no basis other than it's... entirely optional for people to consume. You know, these same people who spend more time tweeting about problems rather than doing anything to solve them. That's what the outcry is.

You could support their other sponsors. But if you're frugal, then yes, viewer retention is very important (that's why most videos are over 10 minutes long). That means watching the full thing through! Sharing does also help.

This might be the most beautiful sandwich I've ever seen. Ever.
I've made thousands of trays of focaccia in the restaurant and none of them was that wet and hard to handle. I'd just go all ingredients into the mixer, perhaps with a larger portion of instant yeast to avoid that whole first stage, mix it until barely combined, turn out and divide into tray sized portions, hand kneed just to form a ball, rest to rise and then poke it out into the pan. Savory or sweet, it was just lovely and the perfect balance of fluffy inside and crispy outside. For the sweet, I'd do sliced fruit and turbinado sugar on top before baking for brunch and the farmers market. And I'd shoot for slightly thinner than that.

"Lukewarm" is the same as "room temperature," i.e. the temperature in which you feel neither hot nor cold. If you were to put your hand into/onto it and the temperature was about the same as your hand, then it is lukewarm. Usually this ranges from the high 60s(F) through the 70s(F), depending on your preferred temperature.
