from what I saw in a document about lapd's vehicle fleet, lapd has two Ford excursions (I don't know if the other is operating)

That's not a green light. In fact it's a grayish light
@@90210FireBuff thanks, I looked kind of Green to me. First thought about a light like Chicago fire dept.
It's white light through the tint strip on the explorer's windshield. Very common with the explorers. It can make it look greenish as well
Any idea what is the duty of the Black Van in SWAT?
that's the command van the commanding officer on scene keeps an eye on the entire operation from inside and also calls in other units from in there if the need arises

It would be a lot easier to watch without the cross-screen filter.
It is all exciting seeing flashing lights and speeding police cars but the scene can be horrific, devastating, extremely dangerous.
