Nice work young fulla!
Thank you
Well done great work !!!
well done keep them vidos coming😀
How good!! Nice haul guys🤙 Just putting it out there... imagine how good the diving would be if they banned cray pots within 200m of shore?!?! Mark it with buoys and have cameras set up on the Peninsula. It could be one of the best diving destinations in NZ.
Beautiful video..I love it waching from Christchurch New ZEALAND
fish wrapped in bacon. yum
Ooh great storyteller Hector! Loved every minute! Looking forward to more vids 😀🙌.

Well done Heck.looked like a Saturday afternoon show .mmmmmmm bacon with fish .yum
Glad you enjoyed uncle Heath, you’ll have to come down and join us for an adventure!
Good work! I bet ya, your dad would know so much and offer you a lot of knowledge! Absorb it all young one! Can’t wait for more videos!!!
That’s what it’s all about, passing on knowledge, catching and cooking.
Well done!
Thanks👍
Good video with nice commentary. Only negative is diving with the snorkel in your mouth. It's bad practice as it will allow water straight into your lungs in the event of a shallow blackout. Otherwise awesome job.
Thankyou for commenting, we usually dive shallow in pairs but good point. We will currently keep that in mind when diving for a long duration and diving deep.
Great video mate keep them up!
Love getting out there, it’s nice to share the adventures.
Yum!

Enjoyed this video so much. I'll check out another
Glad to hear it👍
What depth were the butters at? You have done a great job as a young filmmaker/vlogger. Ka pai!
Generally they relatively shallow, you will always find them in the weed/kelp. Any were from 6-15 ft.
Shot my bro...all the way from Adelaide
Great to get some international viewers👍
Hey guys! Do you have any advice for a spot for me to go when i get to kaikoura? I want to shoot some butterfish and grab some crays
Sure thing! Definitely worth finding the clearest water in Kaikoura... have a look north, south and on the peninsular itself. You can pretty much hop in the water and get butterfish or crays anywhere as long as the water is clear. However, our most common spot would be South of the peninsular just before Goose bay... Mind there are a few marine reserves down that way. Good luck👍
@@youngbucknz Thank you so much for a quick answer! So around the reserve would be good as long as its not inside? Im super stoked to fish! Are you going to dive anytime soon?
@@Ludwigoeberg Yeah anywhere before or after the Hikurangi reserve, I'm based in Nelson at the moment, but we holiday down Kaikoura way in the long weekends.
OMG.......walking in the wet suit..........it was way tooooooooo hot for me...lol
