Debi, thank you for being vulnerable in sharing your story. I'm sure opening up a brick and mortar business takes courage, tenacity, and many sleepless nights, something many of us admire but will never be brave enough to do. And then, there's your Dad. What an angel! If only every one of us could have an angel like him in our lives. Better yet...maybe each one of us can be that angel in someone else's life. Wishing you an abundance of blessings in your next journey. We'll be right here cheering for you!!! 💖
I love what you said Charlie that it would be even better to be the angel in someone else’s life! That is so good! God bless you and thanks for watching
As a 57 yr old married,father/Grandfather of 6. I wonder how many other men out there have found that chalk painting and reconditioning of furniture is a rewarding and relaxing hobby. I had not ever worked with furniture until discovering this channel maybe 5-6 years ago. My favorite creation is a headboard I made for my daughter as a house warming gift out of an antique door. Just thought that I’d chime in as a male viewer that appreciates Debbie’s channel. I find inspiration in her words too!
We love you so much! We are rough rocks with bumps and imperfections. Through our lives the lord allows our trials to refine us, to turn us into gems. It is through his Grace that all our shortcomings are made up. I don’t doubt that your trials have refined you, and smoothed your edges turning you more into the gem he knows you are. You’re a bright light in my world. When we are together I am reminded of the blessing it was that we were brought together. Thank you for always sharing your story and bringing others to the light of Christ along your way. I can’t wait to fly out to see you and work together on colors. Your shop on Cedros is inspiring and full of creative energy. ❤️
13:33 Debbie, although you and I have never met, the vulnerability and honesty in your videos make it feel so. Anyone who would suggest that you aren’t kind and loving would be so wrong. My personal experience with a mishap in your online shipping process, and your personal response to the issue coupled with your generosity have made me a lifetime customer. Thank you for updating us. And thank you for being so gracious to me, During the time in your new store front, In spite of the fact that you were obviously experiencing significant struggles.
Trying something that doesn’t work out is not necessarily a mistake. Sometimes in order to find what we really want, we have to learn what it is that we don’t want! I recently discovered your videos. You have such a wonderful point of view in your art. You relay the DIY so clearly and you have such a sweet family. Thanks for sharing!
Oh Debbie, I love this so much, God does show the way, it's for us to get a grip on the plan...my daughter and I too are going through this change, I'm 73 but have that strong connection to a shop, been doing this for 35 years...we moved from Iowa to Florida, a huge rent and a 5 year lease, then 2 weeks into our well received opening, covid hit...I do think we are missing out not doing shipping, but I think it's doable and this gives me hope...I've been doing this for 35 years, though now with your wonderful DIY paints...we need a change as well and like I said, you've given me hope...and YES, there's that end of video dance I've so missed...!
Debi, I am so moved by your video. With my own dreams of going to visit your store, I have followed your successes for many years from my computer in Sonoma County. Your talent, your ingenuity and resilence have impressed me deeply. I thrill to hear of your successes. You are a dear sweet spirit among us.
Debbie this video brought tears to my eyes, the one main takeaway for me was that this was part of your journey all along, it helped you grow spiritually and redirected your purpose, guided you to where you were supposed to be all along, most important showed you that you are LOVED beyond words and are surrounded by those that bring true meaning into your life (your papa is AMAZING ♥️)…may you continue to find all that makes you happy and makes your heart smile, thank you for sharing your gift with the World♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I get so teary when i see your dad involved in all yoi do. My dad was like that...always busy helping me fixing things and painting...wish we could be painting together.... Treasure these moments with your dad. You are truly blessed💗
I just love you and can't wait to meet you one day. I was watching "The Chosen" a couple days ago and remembered you were in the episode of the sermon on the mountain. I tried to imagine just how that felt and I was so happy to know you were chosen too. You have been used so many times with your stories to anchor my soul, to encourage me and to put determination in my heart again. Your stories give me reflection on things in my life and I think of Jesus and the parables He told. You are such a blessing to me. Thank you. I cried when you told of your 78 year old dad doing that hard work for you, his precious daughter.
Thank you, Robin! Did you watch season three of the chosen? It is the best ever oh my goodness so encouraging.!! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words, they encourage me as well.💗
I am sitting here crying! Your story is amazing and painful for me to watch! You truly are an inspiration. Sending blessings and beautiful days to come! God is good!
Awww Debi, I started to cry when you told us what your precious dad did for you. He’s such a wonderful man. I’m so happy to see you more peaceful, my friend. ❤
I’m so happy for you my dear friend! I’m so glad you are back “home” in Cedros and can look back at Encinitas and know that you’re right where you are supposed to be. I believe everything happens for a reason and had you not tried the larger space you may have been left with the lingering thought of “I should have” or “what if” but now you know for sure and that’s okay. Your father is amazing. Wishing him many more amazing years with you! 🙏🏼
This entire video reminded me of two very important life lessons: "Bigger isn't always better." And "There's no place like Home." Love you Debi and so glad your Dad breathed life back into the almost 100 year old Cottage. One day, I hope to get to shop there! God is always good and He is always on time! Keep smiling.❤️
Debi, as many others, I too was brought to tears in this video. The love of your family is a true blessing! And let's not forget Bobby who I also saw in the video. I still remember the story you told of how you met and the sweet potatoes! He loves you, too! I love these style of videos where you tell a meaningful story along with your wonderful creations!
Your Dad has been an anchor. Debi it’s a hard road to travel but God is in your details and he’s always been there with you. I love that you’re back where you started. I love seeing our chandelier is still there.
I love that chandelier too! I do regret that I didn't believe in myself at the time we were making the brushes. I made 2 of them but just never got the courage to mail them to you. I was afraid my brushes would end up on a live of you unboxing them. I have them both sitting on my craft shelf reminding me to have some confidence, allow others to offer constructive criticism, & to suck it up buttercup-always believe in your self. ❤
This made me cry! So relatable in so many ways. I'm 67 years old, will be celebrating 50 years of marriage this year, have owned and operated my resale/gift shop for 38 years and so many times in all those years I would ask God....what am I doing? Is this your will? Is this your plan? I'm weary and so tired Lord, please give me strength. And He always does. I'm in the middle of a few large remodeling projects on my property and it's getting to me. But God........I know will give me the strength to get it all done! \o/
Debi this is by far my favorite video you have ever made. What a testimony on letting your light shine before men so they can see our Father's glory. Sending you love, light and endless blessings. -Hasifa
14:08 I cried giant tears almost throughout this entire video. Starting when you said oh god please shut the door… if this is a mistake. It made me think of all the times I’ve asked god to open a door, was it now time I ask for the door to be shut. And for the wisdom to tell the difference. yes it is.
Debbie, this video was amazing, and so what I needed to hear today. God uses people like you to uplift and inspire others. I lost my 20-year business during covid and suffered so many other set backs, I broke my back during my last move and lost my dad at the same time and two of my animals. So it's so heartwarming to see your dad in your videos and seeing him be your Savior in your time of need. Yesterday was my dad's birthday, and even though he isn't here, his calm healing nature completely overtook me when I normally would have lost it. My dad was an artist and I inherited his creative gene. After he died, writing and painting became two of my new passions. I've always had this gift but have not used it in 20 years. So thank you for all that you do. Watching your videos and hearing your stories always brightens my day. One of these days I would love to check out your store, I'm only an hour away. I love San Deigo and going down there when I had horses I was always down there, thats where I kept them.
Reactivate your life with LoVe! {Yay, Dad!} Debi, it's all going to be ok. Thank you for being a spot of goodness in my pandemic. I love your brave and beautiful heart.
I love this video more than I can say. I relate to this so much. YOU are an over comer! A warrior! An inspiration to me and so many others. Thank you for telling this story. It was so good for my soul!
This video really is inspiring to me,too❤️ Thanks, Debi..I'm going through a challenge and it's a journey that I will stay strong on! You helped lot's of us get through the pandemic with fun & creativity.. I for one remember being so happy with all your live videos then! Wishing you tons of success , peace, & joy back in your little wonderful store!
11:00 pm I just now started watching you. I’ve seen you few times and loved what I saw but now I’m following you. Your dedication, focus and tenacity is amazing. I don’t know if I would have lasted that long but you hung in there. You were doing your best as if working for the Lord. God is faithful to those who love and trust Him and apparently you did. It was HIS timing. And that’s always perfect. Just keep trusting Him, stay in His Word and you will prosper though not without some road bumps as we are in a fallen world. I will pray for you that you stay on that path. ❤
Your hard work is such an inspiration, and I’ve enjoyed watching your journey. Sometimes our dreams don’t take the shape we thought they would but there’s always grace to learn and grow. I’m happy you’re back to doing what you love.
You fought so hard, for years, to get that little cottage. I think you and that little cottage are meant to be. You've gone home Debi. Sometimes we need to taste the greener grass to know we already had it. Your dad is wonderful and looking after his girls dreams x x x
Debi, I am so proud of you for making this video! It absolutely wasn’t a mistake because there were lessons learned. You learned what you truly want and what your calling really is. You always had a desire for a bigger store since I’ve known you and then you realized that’s NOT what you really wanted and that’s ok. Keep trying things unafraid of mistakes or the outcome. God is still working on all of us. Love you! ❤️
I just finished watching your video...I had tears in my eyes! Thank for sharing fears & vulnerability of your journey through all this! And, your dad...there is no greater love than a father's, for his daughter!
I admire your honesty. Your faith got you through. I have found in my 74 years that following your heart will provide peace. I am glad that you found it !!!
Debbie, I had a dad like yours. He could do anything, and would do anything for his children. When I was a new driver I'd run out of gas because I would push it to see how far I could go and he would always bring me gas and wouldn't chastise me. Just give me a kiss on the cheek and say you better get going, you don't want to be late...he died about 6 yrs ago at 94. Your dad reminds me so much of him. We are lucky girls, not every one has selfless dad's like ours. Glad your back in your happy place. Good luck to you. Maybe some day I'll get to your store, although I did meet you when you came to tn with Jamie awhile ago, to fairview I believe it was. Have a great day!
Your dad is awesome amazing. I love when u ask him things he just laughs ...he is a Godsend!! At his age to have single handedly fixed the plumbing. All of u are a Godsend to people like me that escape depression for a while watching ur youtube videos and be inspired to be creative
Debi, aren’t dad’s the BEST? Thank you for sharing your story. IMO, if you hadn’t tried you never would have known, so you can have some peace now. Thank you for doing what you do. We’ll always be here for you so please slow down and live your life for you.❤
you know Debi, i was sad when you left this little store and went big. so many things changed including the shift to facebook and losing you here on youtube where i had followed you for so many years. but i have to say, i don't think it was a mistake. you needed to create that larger store and did so many wonderful things there. and now it's time to right size again for a better quality of life. and maybe that's the lesson learned. take care of yourself and all will fall into place. welcome home Debi Beard. enjoy your life. bless your father, family and friend for always being there for you.
The joy of running water. I can relate. My sister and I have been without running water for 8 1/2 weeks due to the Christmas freeze in Texas. Our plumber had a serious accident, was hospitalized, had a month long recovery and we just got our water back on yesterday! He is the only one we trust. So much of your story I am sure many many of us can relate to. It sure gives us time to pause and reconsider the crossroads in our life and the path God has chosen for us. Thank you for sharing your story with us, you have become such a big part of our lives you are like family, a DIY family. Such a wonderful video!!! I have a lot to think about and choices to make on this wonderful paint journey...
Well this one made me cry! Your so lucky to have your dad. I miss mine so much. So happy you made it back to your beginning! Thanks for sharing your heart!
I felt my heart beating harder as I listened to your story. Debi, there are so many of us who love you and we root for your success. Thank God for your sweet daddy. And God bless your every endeavor…..your store is so beautiful, and so are you.🙏🏻❤️💋
I am glad you shared this story. I had subscribed to your channel a few years ago, and watched some of your videos through the years. Effective immediately, I've turned on my notifications and hope to see more from you, on a regular basis. Consider Vlogging your trip to Texas, people like that stuff. Either way, . I wish you good luck, though I believe you'll be just fine.
I know this story...I have followed you for years and was even lucky enough to visit you in Encinitas, but this video made my eyes leaking. I am so happy to be a part of your business and truly inspired to hold onto my dreams. I too have a B+M, and some days are rough. Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself. XoXo
Thank you for sharing your journey. I was fortunate to be able to be at your opening in Encinitas. It was a wonderful day and a day of celebration for all of your hard work. I am sure you touched many lives and as you stepped out in faith. What a blessing your dad is ! Now you are starting a new chapter in your journey and I can't wait to see it unfold as you tell your story through your UA-cam channel! Thank you for sharing your business journey, your creativity and your faith!! I love how you tell your stories while you craft! God Bless you! and your family.
You have been such a good part of my life. I’ve been watching you for years and have learned so much from you, not just about painting but also about life and being honest. Furniture painting has been the most fun project, and you probably don’t realize how inspirational your videos are. It’s hard to explain to others the joy in painting something old that could easily go in the trash, and it becomes uniquely yours, and you see beauty in every brush stroke and color. Thank you for telling us this painful story that brought you to a place of peace and happiness. You are the BEST, le meilleur, la mejor!
Wow, this is just so timely for me. I have a brick and mortar, 2 antique booths, I sell online and have a UA-cam channel and am questioning how I thought having so much on my plate was a good idea. I'm feeling overwhelmed, overworked and like theres no end in sight and that I need to make some drastic changes. Seeing you be open and authentic about your store that you put so much time in effort into, ON UA-cam, really is such a strong message for me to let go of some of what I thought were great decisions if they are no longer making me happy and fulfilled regardless of what I may think I have to do to make money or meet expectations. I want to live a more relaxed, easy going life and that means less commitments not more. I think we're both to the point of letting go of the hard driving workaholism that's so much a part of our society.
Debi, thank you for the beautiful video ❤. I discovered your store right after you moved to Encinitas and was wondering the story behind your move back. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to coming to your new, old store someday soon, and to more wonderful videos!!
Miss Debbie ❤️ you are one Amazing! Person! Your dad is an Angel what a blessing 🙌 to have him cherish him everyday of the rest of his life! I just lost my dad Last year in January the 26th of 2022. I miss and loved him so much!! He was searching inspiration. Thats what I see in your father too. He's done so many projects for everyone in our family including building dollhouses for my mom and I. Debbie keep going you are back in your little home of Art for a reason! That's where God Wants you,I he loves you and he gives everyone second chances! You will be great!! I will keep you in prayer! And will be out there to see all that you done. Evelyn from Las Vegas! GOD BLESS YOU!
THANK YOU!!! I have been so curious why you moved after all that work on the new store. But I COMPLETELY understand! Bigger is not always better. It costs in so many ways. And as I have gotten older - it takes a toll on us (even though we have our young minds still!) but enjoyment and less stress is the Moto of our later season. Debi- this is far from a failure, it’s enlightenment to how you need to live a fuller life. So that trip to your young woman’s ‘dream’ of a bigger and busier store, was just not older Debis dream anymore. You have come full circle- back to what made you happier. BRAVO for listening to your soul- you’re back home.
HUGS!!! Thank you for your willingness to share your story, your faith, your journey, your tears & your joys!!! It truly spoke to my heart & was a beautiful reminder on what is important…I need time to let it all soak in, see how God is using your story to help me gain perspective in mind…on a sweet side note, I absolutely love the color wheels, this piece is GORGEOUS!!! ❤️❤️❤️
God Bless you Debi! and all you have been through! So glad your Dad is an Awesome Dad and Person and had the knowledge and Commitment to you to help out so so so much with the plumbing! God bless him in all things and for doing that for you! LOVE LOVE LOVE to you and your Dad and all. May your Future be Bright and Prosperous and Joyful and Peaceful as much as it can be. God Bless, Sherry :)
Thank-you, Debi for sharing. You are an inspiration and a strong woman. This was not a mistake, but part of your story. God is in the details and was with you. Your Dad taking on the plumbing challenge was a beautiful testimony of his love for you. What blessings you have in store with your "new old" place!
Love it!! I am in tears of joy seeing how you have so much love and support around you. And your Dad; Om! Yes he is your hero. ❤️ wishing you so many blessings in your new location and looking forward to see more of your videos. You inspire me so much !! Love always wins! Big hug, Urania 😊
Debi, Thank you for sharing not just your talent, but sharing your heart. Wishing you more blessings than you can ever imagine or dream of! Applauding your courage.
Your incredible story-telling ability and your vulnerability makes you ultimately relatable. It's your super power. The painting is eye candy, the music is ear candy and your stories are heart candy. I love your videos.
It makes me cry, you have such a wonderful father. I lost my father this past summer. He was almost 89 years old, Donald Beard, that's his name and I miss him. I think it is just a testament of your faith in the Lord and how you have the strength to go on in spite of many obstacles. But let me tell you everything that I saw, all your artistic touches, are beautiful. The Lord won't give up on you. And you must always leaned on Him. ❤️🙏
Your Father loves you very much and could see you needed a helping hand. Just remember everything you go through is leading you to the place you are meant to be.
Debi, I love all your videos but girl this one hit me right in the heart. Your Dad reminded me so much of mine. There wasn't anything my Dad couldn't do and he was right by my side supporting me in my accomplishments and my not so great moments. Sadly I lost him to cancer in 1995 and miss him terribly. I have followed you from afar, North Carolina, from your earliest yard sales videos. Your faith and stories have been a source of strength and motivation to me. Your journey is awe inspiring. I know the stress all too well that you were under and while at the time you may have felt like you made a huge mistake but as Bob Ross said, "We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents" Congratulations on your newly renovated store and I wish you much success in all that you do. Take care and "I'll see you in the next video."
There are no mistakes. Every step is divine Debi and teaching us, and building connections of community and love, inspiration and spiritual growth. You came full circle. Your heart was restless before thinking you must be and do more and you did, only to learn less is more. Not as a mistake, but as an intentional experience. Never let life get so busy you cannot hear your own voice that’s connected to God! Bravo sis❤
What a great story I know it’s easy to say now you feel so much better I share your words are hold me up in ways you can’t even amazing you and Jamie Ray, and her husband have been keeping me going in my darkest day so just thank you 🙏
One of your Best Videos Ever!! It’s like your speaking directly to me when you speak about God, Life Lessons, Your Family, Love, & What is Truly Important in Life. You are So Inspiring & Strong. Definitely a Leader. A Very Good Leader with a Heart of GOLD. ❤ You Have a Beautiful Family & It’s Great to see how close all of you are, and how much you all support one another through the Good & the Bad Times. 🙏 🌺 🌿 🦋 ❤️ 🌼 👍 👍 👍
Nothing is ever a mistake Mrs. Debi. They are lessons that show us how less is more. We sometimes find ourselves all wrapped up and overwhelmed by material things. And that’s all they are… things. That home is your home AKA: You are home. Thank you for sharing your story with us all. I really enjoy your content. Also, could you give your Dad a message from me? He’s my hero to. For bringing back a sweet and talented human with a kind heart. Sending blessing. ❤🙏❤️
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!😭🙏♥️💐🤗They inspire me to create and to be patient and wait for God to show me His blessings through every step of the journey. Thank God you have such a rock star Father both Earthly and Heavenly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful heart with us💐💐♥️♥️♥️♥️💐🤗
Love, love all your videos, your art, and your paint Debi! Watching the journey, it doesn't seem like it was a mistake, rather a life process/change. Sometimes, we lose a little for the bigger win. Your dad and your team are such gems--it's inspiring to see your loved ones support you and be part of the amazing journey! God bless!
I am so happy for you and so very proud of you! You continue to inspire in so many ways. And your Dad! He is miraculous. God bless all of you at DIY-A-GO-GO, and thank you ❣️
ThanksDebi for for sharing your truth, I have been inspired by you for many years. I am so very proud of you sister love!❤You are ever in my prayers, please tell you dad as a part of your community I am so grateful that he is your hero. Please continue to walk in your blessings.
Your little house story reminds me of the story "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. It exists to make you happy. When others feel that love, the promise is fufilled.❤
This is one of my favorite videos of DIY PAINT over the years. There is SO MUCH MEAT discussed here. Debi this had to be a very difficult 😢to live but even more so to tell. Something that’s attracted me to you is your very based unassuming real self. I prefer authentic people and they are a blessing when God brings them into our lives. This video made me cry in several places. Your dad fixing the plumbing in Cedros was one that got me. You are so blessed to have such solid family support behind you. I must admit I’m a bit envious of that. The Bible tells us that in this life we WILL have struggles. A friend sent me a devotional a few years back when my world unraveled and took a totally unexpected permanent turn. Its called “Streams In the DESERT” by LB Cowman. It’s blessed me again and again over the years. God bless you as you continue to wade through this life.
A beautiful video, straight from the heart! In order to grow as a person we need to risks to learn. These are never mistakes, they are lessons, lessons that we learn from and make us a better person and for you, a better creative. Enjoy this new beginning in life, as we are thrown so many new challenges but never be afraid Debbi to take the risk and to learn from it.
Thank you for including us in the wonderful journey you've been on. You can't go wrong with love and faith to give strength during hard times. We can all see that your dad played and plays such an important role in your life! He is a constant! ❤ I always look forward to visiting your channel. Not just for the wonderful art, but for the rays of sunshine you give off to all of us. Wishing you all the best going forward.
Debi thanks for telling your story the hardest thing I ever did was closing my brick and mortar but God gave me the gift of caring for my parents. It opened other doors for me that included selling your paint. Thankyou for your gift of storytelling
W0W...Excellent video and we have missed you but you have grown!....Bravo to Dad....so sweet! My dad would have done the same. Such a soulful video and so good to watch. May God Bless your journey forward...He who started a good work in you will surely finish the job. Many Cudos🙂
OMG what a story. You are so strong. Your Dad, too😭…amazing. I don’t think it was a mistake…you leaned so much. Beautiful video. So glad you hung onto that little shop…it’s my favorite. 💜
You have a wonderful father, he’s in great shape for his age, and he is so helpful to you. I don’t see your moving to the big store as a mistake at all. It was something you wanted your whole life, and you had it for a season. Had you never experienced that, you would’ve always felt deprived or wondered what it was like for the dream to be fulfilled. You needed to be there in order to realize that it was more demanding than you really wanted. So now you can say you’ve “been there and done that” but are in the right situation now, without feeling like you missed out on something that you always wanted. Everything in life is for a season, some are short seasons, others last longer, but in each case they accomplish what they were meant to do. Cuties doggies. God bless.
Debi, every time I watch a video of your making, I am moved and inspired. Your generous spirt and courage give me hope. I am almost 80 and find joy in what you say and do. I dream of visiting you on Cedros, one of my favorite spots in San Diego...I actually dream of selling our house and moving to Solana Beach or Encinitas. Stay the coarse and remember to be good to yourself.
I am in tears. What an awesome testimony! It revealed to me the hardness of my heart due to all I have been through since June 2019. I do not have a business. I work for someone else so I am existing not living. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤🙌🏼🙏🏼
I don’t know how I missed this video when it came out but I had been waiting on it. I love all of your videos but I think this is my favorite. It shows what kind of spirit you have to never give up. To dig deeper within and stay the course. I’m incredibly proud of what you have accomplished as a person and as a woman. And I think you can do anything you set your mind to. Well done ❤
I’m so glad you’re back to the original store so happy for more videos but really happy that we have our Debi back to grow the product line and to grow us & our businesses! I love having DIY in my shop it’s truly an honor to carry this line it’s even a bigger honor to have you in my life you’re such an amazing person inside and out you motivate all of us to be better at everything we do. You put us first Debi not money not marketing but us first which make it an honor and a privilege to have DIY and you my life and all the other retailers lives! ❤
This video made ma happy and made me cry! You sounded happy again. And somehow I felt your weight lifting off your shoulders and it helped me reason with things happening in my life right now that somehow you made make sense through your words. THANK YOU! I hope you are doing fantastic now.
Sometimes leaving “home” is the biggest mistake we can make. Thankful for the lord making a way for you to return “home” . Big wishes for a blessed, happy, fulfilling new adventure ❤
You have a cool dad. He saw you were struggling mentally and stepped in. He’s the best. Sometimes you have to try things out to see if it’s good for you
Debi, thank you for being vulnerable in sharing your story.
Yup. Your Daddy obviously loves you Debi! I've also got a wonderful 'Superman' of an earthly Dad as well. We are so blessed!
I opened a store and did well until the owner sold the real estate. I would never do it again. All by myself and too many hours.
Oh Debi, your dad is your hero. I'm teary. For him to fix your plumbing changed everything.
He is❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!!
Best Dad Ever Award! 🥇🎉
Replay, this is my third time watching this and u are an inspiration for sure
We love you so much! We are rough rocks with bumps and imperfections. Through our lives the lord allows our trials to refine us, to turn us into gems. It is through his Grace that all our shortcomings are made up. I don’t doubt that your trials have refined you, and smoothed your edges turning you more into the gem he knows you are.
Very wise words, thank you Kelly!
Debbie this video brought tears to my eyes, the one main takeaway for me was that this was part of your journey all along, it helped you grow spiritually and redirected your purpose, guided you to where you were supposed to be all along, most important showed you that you are LOVED beyond words and are surrounded by those that bring true meaning into your life (your papa is AMAZING ♥️)…may you continue to find all that makes you happy and makes your heart smile, thank you for sharing your gift with the World♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'm happy that I'm not the only one crying .
This entire video reminded me of two very important life lessons: "Bigger isn't always better." And "There's no place like Home."
Love you Debi and so glad your Dad breathed life back into the almost 100 year old Cottage. One day, I hope to get to shop there! God is always good and He is always on time! Keep smiling.❤️
I’m so proud of you debí! Your dad is is your rock! You two never gave up! ❤️🙏
Gotta love Dads like that. That is the kind of Dad my husband is.
Your Dad has been an anchor. Debi it’s a hard road to travel but God is in your details and he’s always been there with you. I love that you’re back where you started. I love seeing our chandelier is still there.
I love that chandelier and lots of precious memories. You are right God is always in our details. 💜💜

I cried giant tears almost throughout this entire video. Starting when you said oh god please shut the door… if this is a mistake. It made me think of all the times I’ve asked god to open a door, was it now time I ask for the door to be shut. And for the wisdom to tell the difference. yes it is.
I LOVE YOUR DAD!! If mine was still here he would be doing the same as your Dad. Gives me tears of missing him and appreciating him.
You didn't make a mistake,it was just part of your journey. You have been my #1 inspiration for about 5 years.Thank you.
❤❤❤ thank you for your comment. Glad it was encouraging to you. Your words are encouraging to me too ❤️❤️❤️
This video really is inspiring to me,too❤️ Thanks, Debi..I'm going through a challenge and it's a journey that I will stay strong on!
Welcome back 🎉! I've truly missed your little blue studio, your projects, your vlogs, and YOU! 💕
♥️Dancing Deb is back ♥️ God bless your dad ❤
What a lucky girl you are, to have family and friends to lift you up! Go girl! May your dad know he is so loved by so many. ❤️
Well this one made me cry! Your so lucky to have your dad. I miss mine so much. So happy you made it back to your beginning! Thanks for sharing your heart!
I love the old house. Life is a tremendous journey. Paint, paint and love what you do. God bless you little lady.
Great idea❤️❤️❤️ we will be doing that. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts 💗
I think we're both to the point of letting go of the hard driving workaholism that's so much a part of our society.
thank you for always bringing the light, I watch your videos to find peace and understanding with myself and you NEVER fail. xoxo
Your dad really loves you and it says alot how he felt about your mom, beautiful family❤
Wow! What a journey! I’m so proud of you sister! Lifting you in prayer! Strength wisdom and peace!!!❤
Well thank you, I love a good candy store💕💕💕
I love this story because more is not always better, sometimes more is too heavy and rather than let it squash you you put it down 💕💕💕
It makes me cry, you have such a wonderful father.
Debi my friend you are a treasure, and I KNOW that I know that God smiles at you allll the time because He’s so pleased with you.
I know the stress all too well that you were under and while at the time you may have felt like you made a huge mistake but as Bob Ross said, "We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents"
Congratulations on your newly renovated store and I wish you much success in all that you do.
Bravo sis❤
Your dad is the Hero of this story. Maybe that was the lesson🙏💕
What a great story I know it’s easy to say now you feel so much better I share your words are hold me up in ways you can’t even amazing you and Jamie Ray, and her husband have been keeping me going in my darkest day so just thank you 🙏
Your dad is my hero.Welcome home Debbie your dad knows your heart.
Isn’t it amazing how God puts people in your life. Your dad is a gift from God for sure. Bless his heart!
Wonderful video Debi! I’m actually crying. Can’t wait to see Cedros again. So happy for you and miss you and your wonderful family!
God bless all of you at DIY-A-GO-GO, and thank you ❣️
What a great story!!! I have always loved your videos and your fun quirky style!
Many Cudos🙂
This made me cry!!!! Soooooooo good! I love the whole story! It's like I was right there with you!
A few months back I was missing your videos. Then just last week you popped up on my home page! I’ve missed you and your stories. Welcome back!
What a blessing your dad is!
So happy you're back. I have missed your videos. You're such a ray of sunshine and inspiration. I had wondered where you had been.
Welcome back to your future Debbie. You are blessed with a wonderful Dad and much more.
This video made ma happy and made me cry! You sounded happy again. And somehow I felt your weight lifting off your shoulders and it helped me reason with things happening in my life right now that somehow you made make sense through your words. THANK YOU!
I hope you are doing fantastic now.
Praise God for awesome Dads. All the best to you in your new/old place!
Sometimes leaving “home” is the biggest mistake we can make. Thankful for the lord making a way for you to return “home” . Big wishes for a blessed, happy, fulfilling new adventure ❤
What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger! All love to you and best wishes on your journey. Thanks for being real!
You have a cool dad. He saw you were struggling mentally and stepped in. He’s the best. Sometimes you have to try things out to see if it’s good for you
