💗💗💗This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Took me back to my childhood & the little old lady that lived across the street from me. I used to sneak over to help her with her laundry & housekeeping after she went blind. She didn't need any help cooking though, measured from the heart and as long as her daughter in law always bought the same brands she knew how many shakes or cranks to put in something. And the palm of her hand was as accurate as a measuring spoon Thank You so much for this recipe, I have searched 40 years to get one that tastes exactly like hers & you Sir have made it. That 1st plate brought tears to my eyes & warmth of her long ago lost pat on my cheek as she said "sit chile & eat, eat. Food tastes better when shared"
oh wow this is lovely im happy to help and your story is very touching.. nice of you to help her. im happy my recipe is of great help to you thanks for watching and feel free to check out my other contents..
Thank you, bless you bro. I have watched so many Jerk Marinade videos and they always use the jar as well as there ingredients which is pointless, this is real and authentic thank you
RE-spect Thank you. I’ve been to the island many times this is as real as it gets. The smoky flavors of the cinnamon and the allspice are on point, my only suggestion is if you like a little bit hotter then keep some of those seeds in that he said to keep out. Absolutely fantastic on a bacon cheeseburger as well. It’s an all-around condiment just like Sriracha
used to work at a jamaican restaurant, loved doing it, loved making the food, but my boss guarded his sauce recipe with his life!! I have tried so many times to get it right. i think tis will do the trick, thank you for sharing CHEF!!
Yeah I totally understand not many chefs like to share their recipes esp back then but it’s a different era now I’m open to sharing and helping others!
Thank you so much!!!!!! I looked everywhere and I could not find Scotch Bonnet peppers so I will use Serrano peppers and some sweet color baby peppers mixed together!!!!!
I'm going to try and make this tomorrow with rice and peas. I am very nervous about smoking the chicken because I don't have a smoker or anything like that. But excited to try and I'm going to start early in the day to have time for anything to happen. Thanks for such a nice and easy to follow, no nonsense recipe.
This recipe is banging! Made it with Tofu for dinner and I enjoyed it A LOT! Had to swap to hot chili peppers because in Spain it’s impossible to find scotch bonnets 🥲 But still it was GOOD! Thank you so much! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Harvested my own Scotch Bonnets this week. Made this recipe for jerk today. Subbed coconut oil for olive oil. Tastes great but I'll cut back on the 2 tablespoons of salt next time.
Oh wow that’s awesome it’s always great when you can harvest your own peppers but ok got you and I’m happy it came out great for you .. thanks for watching and yeah u can always make your adjustments to your preferences!
I have tried two other recipes and this one is the best. I added 1 tbsp salt instead of 2. I might add two next time I am trying to get a tast similar to walkerswood which is saltier.
I have been using walkerswood for years. Its good but with this sauce I can make it as salty or as hot as I want. This sauce with 2 tbsp salt is not as salty as walkerswood and just better with more flavor. Jerk chicken is one of my favorite meals to cook and I appreciate this recipe. No more store bought. Thank you.
I usually make mine by cooking it with a juice pineapple apple anything sweet really do it in stages for a sauce to pour over my chicken n rice but ima do this now n marinate the chicken an do a separate hot sauce..... yeah man
Oh yeah I know exactly what you mean I do have a video on jerk dipping sauce here’s the link; ua-cam.com/video/0KvYWCpXKog/v-deo.html But yeah thanks for stopping by and I hope my jerk sauce recipe comes out great for you!
Out of all videos I've watched on UA-cam, I think this one is pretty good because almost all of the ingredients in the video is pretty much accessible to anyone. Nice video man!
i think the only major difference in my receipe is i add more white vinegar, and i don't use the sugar... i'm going to add that sugar in next time and see how that does... i think that will offset some of the heat nicely. Thanks for you video. We apprecaite you.
hi chef this what I've been looking for thanks for the recipe but i live in WA state and cannot find scotch bonnet any where could i substitute some other pepper like habanero ?
Gonna have to give this recipe a try Chris, thanks for taking the time to share your culinary skills and allowing people to enjoy the flavours of Jamaican cooking, peace and blessings 👏🏽

U can add browning aswell
