When Artosis accidentally hit classic graphics for a moment in this game I realized I'd love a whole cast of a match in classic graphics 4:3 beauty. Hard on the eyes but soft on the heart.
How much does it cost to repair a bunker? 1 Dragoon shot is almost 2 minerals in repair cost on a bunker. A Dragoon shoots every 1.26s So 1 Dragoon inflicts 1.58 minerals per second worth of damage. 1 SCV mines is 65 minerals per minute on low saturation, so 1.083 minerals per second. If we add those together, we get to a total cost of 2.67 minerals per second, which translates to 2.46 SCVs mining. If we add transition times for SCVs and not perfect mining efficiency, we end up with roughly 2.5 SCVs TLDR; Every dragoon shooting the bunker costs the Terran 2.5 SCVs worth of economy.
Really enjoyed that game! Re: Flash's all-in when he was 2-base vs 3-base. I think you're SOOOOO right about the floating buildings helping. They completely shut down Best's ability to a-move his Goons from his rally point into the fight. I think you were also right about Flash pushing too hard with that. Seems like he was just in full-out macro autopilot and just constantly trying to shove forward so he could siege up at the natural which he never reached. If he had instead pulled back a little bit and just sieged up along that lake SE of Best's natural, using the floating buildings as cover, he could've taken the game right there. He had SCVs with the army and a floating ebay so he could even have thrown a couple of missile turrets near his minefields to get rid of Observers. Perhaps he felt like he really just needed to win with that push which we, with the benefit of hindsight and full map vision, could see was an incorrect judgement. All he needed with that all-in was to setup a contain while having his vultures target-fire the 3rd nexus, then he could've taken his own 3rd as his supply built up in the contain (rather than trading cost-inefficiently the whole time)
Honestly I wanted to see the SCVs repair during the fight, they don't do much with that 0 range attack anyway so might as well waste even more of the dragoon's time

Arty's casting is truly next level. Not only does he have deep knowledge of the game and gets inspired by this sub-ASL level Flash guy, but he also constantly coughs and excuses himself so we can have a complete Tasteless vibe and presence. Thanks, Arty!
sick game from flash. i got chills from the timing in his build. so crazily efficient and optimised it's spooky. when the goliath range lined up perfectly with the shuttle arriving and the defence there i too thought he'd go for a 3rd cc. sick aggressive game from flash to see.
The barracks move might be a mind game, because best might not have made the zelit because his barracks was placed in a position that isn't as good against a zelot, meaning he'd go for the gas which the zelot is not as good against. Maybe?
Reminds me of Snow vs Artosis when he said he must have built 400 vultures when Snow was just grinding them down in the middle of the map all game long,
it's definitely something that should be seen a little more often than it is lately. Flash regularly sticks the depots out in front of the siege tanks when the map allows it, but since maps usually don't, I'd expect to see him pulling this move a little more in the future.
PS - I know I'm a noob but would it have been better timed if flash was upgrading spider mines as he moved out? I know it's easier to see in hindsight but considering what he wanted to do would spider mine upgrade before speed vulture perhaps be a better optimisation in this situation?

So many opportunities to pick HTs or block zealot pushes. Also tank positioning leveraging the map. I know it's hard in the heat of everything but I feel like he could pick better siege positions, especially early when the count is low. Clearly I know better than Flash 😂.
You have succeeded in getting me hooked on SC1 again! Back in the day there was StarCraft University; are there any resources like that available today? I am so out of practice and painfully slow.
Floating buildings and more field-repair offensive SCVs are definitely Terran's future. It's even more APM and not viable for plebs like me, but in ideal circumstances it's incredible value

If anyone doubted he is the greatest of all time then just watch his recent games after his military service and see how he improves so quickly and adapts to the meta and creates his own unique strategies on a daily basis. This game was amazing
Even if flash ends up finding the 'best' build, it will still be only one of many builds in his arsenal. Instead of ending up with one build, he'll end up with a range of useful builds for different opponents and maps

I love Terran wins, I love Terran but I also think they are the hardest race, especially at the beginning, they've got nothing going for em, it's a mater of can you hold your opponents play, well if you do THEN you MIGHt be able to do something. Not even bunker rush steadily change that.
Do you think Flash will accept to play only if he can maintain a dominant, 70%+ , win rate to avoid having "bad stats" ? (compared to previous periods) Sort of ladder anxiety?

This one was amazing. Non-stop action from very early on. Had seen a few others that looked like 15 minutes no rush.

Crazy how a 30 minute game has like 3 battles, and about 3 minutes of peace. Just 3 5-15 minute long fights.
